Becky Lynch Comments On Life After WWE, Says She Has “Many Options On The Table”

Former WWE star Becky Lynch has discussed what she has been up to and her mindset following her WWE exit.

Lynch’s contract with WWE expired on June 1 and she seems to be stepping away from the ring for a bit, which was hinted at in a recent post she made on social media. “The Man” recently spoke to former NFL star Julian Edelman on his “Games With Names” podcast, where she talked about life after WWE.

“It’s great,” said Lynch when she was asked about how life is right now. “Everything’s great. I got my wonderful little family, I have many options on the table and I get to, for the first time in a long time, take a bit of a breath to appreciate everything.

She explained that stepping away from WWE has given her time to reflect on her career and smell the roses, as well as look back on everything she has achieved.

“When you’re on the road 52 weeks a year, non-stop, going from town to town, and then in the last three years, I added to the chaos by having a daughter, who I would bring everywhere with me, and then on top of that I decided it would be good to write my biography. So, it was really — for the last year, two years, pure chaos. Now I’m taking a little bit more time, I’m taking a breath to look around the world, getting to look at what I created and evaluate everything. It’s been wonderful,” said the former WWE star.

While Lynch didn’t hint at when she may return to the ring, she hasn’t called time on her career yet, with her post following her last match in WWE highlighting that her wrestling journey will continue. Reports have also suggested that Lynch hasn’t informed anyone in WWE about hanging up her wrestling boots yet.

Ronda Rousey – ‘I Wish I Wrestled In The Triple H Era Of WWE And Not Vince McMahon’

Ronda Rousey would have loved to wrestle under the new Triple H era of WWE.

While speaking with Denise Salcedo of “Instinct Culture,” Rousey looked back at her WWE in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34. She said,

“It was an incredible introduction. Part of me wishes the time that I wrestled would have been in the Triple H era and not the Vince (McMahon) era because he [HHH] was the one that believed in me from the very beginning.”

She continued, “I’ve been hearing incredible things about how he’s running stuff now. It was such an experience.”

Tony Khan – ‘The Arrival Of The Most Important Announcements In AEW History Is Imminent’

AEW All In: London 2024 takes place on August 25, and fans have begun speculating that AEW President Tony Khan could be saving some major announcements for the Wembley event.

In a recent interview with “TV Insider,” Khan teased that the announcements are imminent.

He said, “It is a very exciting time in AEW for many reasons…We’re days away from AEW All In on August 25. This is the most important and exciting time in AEW’s history. In addition to what is happening in the ring, there are so many exciting things happening behind the scenes at AEW right now. We’re on the verge of the most important announcements in the history of AEW. There are multiple aspects. The arrival of these announcements is imminent. We’ll have big news that could come at any time. Isn’t that the best kind of wrestling surprise when you know something is coming and you want it and it’s exciting, but you’re not sure when it’s going to happen? You have that feeling it’s going to happen. In this case, I have more than a feeling to paraphrase Boston. I have been working on this for a long time. We have a great team here. The future of AEW is very bright.”

Khan also noted that he wishes to run more shows and major events at the Esports Stadium in Arlington, TX.

He continued, “I think we found something very special around Arlington’s Esports Stadium in Texas. There is magic in the building and magic in those fans. I would love to keep doing more shows there and having major events there. And if there are other great wrestling markets, legendary wrestling markets that could sustain that kind of excitement week after week, I would love that. We found something very special there in Texas.”

AEW’s residency in Arlington will conclude with a Collision/Rampage taping on Saturday, August 17.

Dakota Kai Out 8-10 Weeks With A Torn Meniscus

Dakota Kai is unfortunately no stranger to knee surgery in her career, and it appears she’s headed for another one, as per “WWE Raw” commentary. Kai, who was attacked last week by Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville, and Zoey Stark — a group now known as The Pure Fusion Collective — needs surgery for a torn meniscus in her right knee and is expected to be out of action for 8-10 weeks.

It’s unclear when the injury actually took place, but Kai hasn’t wrestled a match since July 27 at the WWE SuperShow live event in Tokyo, Japan, where she and IYO SKY defeated former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. She was slated to take on Deville on last week’s “Raw,” having laid down the challenge the week prior, but was seemingly written out of that match by the backstage attack and replaced by her Damage CTRL ally SKY, who emerged victorious. On Monday’s episode, Kai was nowhere to be found while SKY and Io Shirai competed against Baszler and Stark in a No. 1 Contenders’ match for The Unholy Union’s women’s tag titles, a match that ended in a no contest when the champions attacked both sides.

Kai suffered a torn ACL in the same knee last year and only returned to action in February. Damage CTRL has been plagued by knee problems in 2024, with Asuka still recovering from her own injury with no timeline for her return having been announced.
