Jim Ross Provides Commentary On NASCAR Truck Series Brawl (Video)

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross provided unique commentary for the NASCAR Truck Series brawl that occurred over the weekend

The NASCAR Truck Series usually doesn’t get as much attention as the Sprint Cup Series does, but on Saturday night, they stole the show for the weekend. After a crash on the track between John Wes Townley and Spencer Gallagher, the two brawled right in the middle of the track.

Brawl might be a kind way of putting it, because it was the worst fight ever and they looked like they were hugging instead of fighting. Short little hooks and a terrible DDT right on the warm pavement highlighted the fight, but immediately, people began attaching Jim Ross calls to the video.

So it’s only fitting that Ross created his own commentary for the fight in hilarious fashion. He tried his best to call it with the excitement of a Hell in a Cell match, but this fight was so bad, that Ross really turned up the comedy in this scenario.

 

The Brooklyn Brawler — Returns To The Ring Following WWE Release

Steve Lombardi aka The Brooklyn Brawler made his return the ring Saturday night following a quiet exit from WWE last month — and we’ve got exclusive footage of the match.

The whole thing went down in Brooklyn, of course … where the 55 year-old wrestled for Legendary Action Wrestling against Eric Jayden in the show’s opener.

In case you missed it, Lombardi was let go back in May when WWE parted ways with a whole slew of talent.  For some reason, Brawler’s release was never announced like the others.

According to the event promoter, the full match will soon be made available on their YouTube channel.

Roderick Strong Leavingďťż ROH

We have learned via Prowrestlingsheet.com that Roderick Strong after 13 years  will be departing from Ring of Honor wrestling.

His last match for the company will take place this Saturday in Concord North Carolina.  

According to ROHwrestling.com strong is leaving to “persue other opportunities.Recent rumors had speculated that Roderick may be heading to WWE when his current contract expired but no reliable source has been able to confirm or deny those reports at this time.

Breaking News: Roman Reigns Suspended 

 We have learned in a posting from WWE.COM that WWE has suspended Joe Anoa`i (Roman Reigns) for 30 days effective immediately for his first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.

It’ll be interesting to see if this will have any affect on the triple threat Championshp match for Battleground. 

Gypsy Joe Passes Away At 82

Veteran wrestler Gilberto “Gypsy Joe” Melendez passed away on Wednesday night at the age of 82.

Melendez began his wrestling career at the age of 18 in 1951 and wrestled his last match on January 7, 2011 at the age of 76. Dave Meltzer noted on F4Wonline that Melendez was known for years as “the oldest active pro wrestler.”

Melendez was inducted into the Nashville Professional Hall of Fame by Mick Foley on November 7, 2015.

Rey Mysterio Loses Title To Joey Ryan While Sleeping

Joey Ryan pinned a sleeping Rey Mysterio Jr. to regain the DDT Pro Ironman Heavymetalweight Title. The 24/7 rule is in effect for the championship, you can check out the title change below.

Mitt Romney — Attacks Wrestlers While Dressed As Nacho Libre (VIDEO)

Veterans who complain about wrestlers “killing the business” should avoid watching the following video, because Mitt Romney got involved in a match Saturday — and it’ll make their heads explode.

It all went down at an event in Salt Lake City thrown by Charity Vision — an organization run by Romney’s son — and dressed as Nacho Libre, Mitt interrupted a lucha libre contest.

After hitting two of the weakest looking clotheslines ever, the former Presidential hopeful was eventually unmasked. He then played to the crowd while the Rocky theme played.

The event also featured a “boxing match” between Oscar De La Hoya and Mario Lopez.

Chris Warren, Singer Of D-Generation X Theme, Dead At 49

Unfortunate news hits the wrestling world, as news has emerged that Chris Warren, the lead singer of the “DX Band” has died at age 49.

Few details are known at this time, but Warren passed away on Sunday. A funeral service will be held this weekend.

Warren contributed vocals to several WWE themes, including the iconic D-Generation X “Break it Down” song. Warren also was featured in X-Pac’s theme, as well as the intro do the late 1990’s edition of WWF Superstars. Triple H’s “My Time” was also performed by Warren.

Warren performed at WrestleMania 14, with a controversial rendition of America The Beautiful, in addition to playing Shawn Michaels to the ring for the main event. Warren would go on to lead the band Bro-Kin, and contribute several songs to TNA Wrestling events.

His obituary reads as follows:

Christopher P. Warren of Valley Cottage, NY, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at the age 49. Christopher was born in Huntington, Long Island, NY on May 27, 1967 to Christopher J. and Barbara Warren.He was employed by Local 638 NYC as a Steam Fitter for many years. Music was his passion. He was very artistic and was a singer for the band Bro-kin.

Christopher is survived by his mother, Barbara Spector, his three brothers, Steven (Lena) Spector, Andrew (Jill) Spector and Danny (Margit) Spector and his sister, Laura Spector. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

“Christopher was very well liked and will be greatly missed by all that knew him”.

He was predeceased by his father, Christopher J. Warren and step father, Paul Spector.

Visiting hours will be Friday, June 17 from 2 to 4 pm & 6 to 9 pm at the Joseph W. Sorce F.H. Inc.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 18 in St. Ann’s Church, 16 Jefferson Ave., Nyack, NY. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
