Former WWE star Brodus Clay (Tyrus) is being sued by Britt McHenry for sexual harassment, according to TMZ. Tyrus was McHenry’s former Un-PC co-host. Un-PC is a FOX Nation show.
Britt McHenry is claiming that Tyrus sent her text messages that included threats of a dick pic and comments about her butt and legs. She also claims that he lied and told HR and management that they were both just flirting. He showed investigators photos and texts of her cleavage and nearly bare breast, which McHenry claims the pics and texts were doctored and not really her.
Tyrus was removed from Un-PC but was later given his own show, Nuff Said.
Britt McHenry is also suing FOX News. She claims that after she told about what Tyrus did, FOX News shut her out of company events and refused to allow her to appear as a guest on other FOX News shows.
A rep from FOX News told TMZ, “Ms. McHenry’s lawsuit recycles the same allegations she filed with the New York State Division of Human Rights in October, to which we filed a response on Friday. As we have previously stated, Ms. McHenry’s allegations have been fully investigated and we are confident our actions will be deemed entirely appropriate in litigation. We expect all of her claims to be dismissed.”
The 17th annual WWE Tribute to the Troops reportedly will not air on TV.
As noted, WWE taped matches and segments with top Superstars and Marines on Friday at the Marine Corps Air Station New River and Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina. This was the first time that the TTTT was taped at a Marine Base.
It was reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the 2019 Troops Tribute was not taped for TV and there is no TTTT TV special this year. Dave Meltzer did not know yet why the event is not airing.
WWE’s Tribute to the Troops has been held every year since 2003, and has aired on either UPN, NBC or the USA Network. There’s also on word yet on if the event might air on the WWE Network this year. It’s very interesting that WWE and USA would pass on airing the event as it usually draws more than 1 million viewers on a slow holiday week, which won’t have a new episode of WWE NXT this year, plus it brings the kind of PR that WWE goes for.
Below is TTTT video that aired during Friday night’s SmackDown episode. Below are match results from Friday’s event:
* Humberto Carrillo and Kevin Owens defeated Drew McIntyre and Andrade
* WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Asuka and Kairi Sane retained over Sarah Logan and Natalya
* The Street Profits defeated Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins
* The OC (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson) defeated Ricochet and RAW Tag Team Champions The Viking Raiders
* Seth Rollins defeated Erick Rowan in a Boot Camp match.
There were also said to be appearances from Braun Strowman and WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry, among others.
WWE has suspended two Superstars for Wellness Policy violations, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet.
Robert Roode and Primo Colon have both been hit with 30-day suspensions after violating the Wellness Policy this week. There’s no word yet on what substance they tested positive for.
Roode wrestled Roman Reigns on a recent SmackDown TV episode and was stretchered out of the arena after a beatdown angle. The Colons have been off WWE TV for many months, but there have been rumors on a return. Primo and Epico have both been working for the WWC promotion in Puerto Rico, owned by Primo’s father.
UPDATE:
WWE has confirmed the suspensions with the following announcement on the WWE Corporate website:
WWE® SUSPENDS EDDIE COLÓN AND ROBERT ROODESTAMFORD, CONN., December 10, 2019 – WWE has suspended Eddie Colón (Primo) and Robert Roode each for 30 days effective immediately, for a first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.
