Below is the official second trailer for the upcoming CREDIBLE documentary. The film documents former ECW World Heavyweight Champion PJ Polaco, f.k.a. Justin Credible, as he tries to get his life back in order.

The new trailer includes footage from Polaco’s September lockup. The producers of the documentary bailed Pete out of a correctional facility in New Haven, CT, which was captured on film. The production will continue to shoot through the winter, which will include new interviews with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. A January 5th show at Battlefront Pro Wrestling’s ‘To Hell And Back’ will feature a match between Justin Credible and Ryan Fraust as the main event. The documentary crew will be chronicling the day leading up to the event and the match itself, including Justin Credible being featured in the music video shooting the same day by the band Crossing Rubicon. The band’s music will be featured in the documentary.

Production for the documentary was halted earlier this fall over after an eruption from Polaco towards the director, Eric Nyenhuis. Plans have been recalibrated to shoot the final months of the documentary based around Polaco’s court proceedings.

“We continue to outline a man who has deep and painful layers unraveling all at once, and only one of them is about pro wrestling,” producer David Gere said. “At one point I asked Pete to tell us who Justin Credible is and who Peter Polaco is. You will see the response in the new trailer and it’s heartbreaking, but it opens the door for redemption.”

In addition to being an accomplished Hollywood producer, Gere also moonlights as professional wrestling manager ‘DG Haven’ in promotions like Tommy Dreamer’s House Of Hardcore, first met Credible when paired with him on an indy show in 2015 at PWA’s ‘Rise Of Injustice’ show.

“I worked this show years back as Pete’s manager and it was the first time I had met him,” Gere said. “Things were cool in the back at first, but by the end of the match against Bull Dredd, Pete legitimately snapped over the finish, left the ring area, came back, broke his kendo stick over my head, busting me open, which we hadn’t discussed, and walked out of the building. Despite all this, I felt for the guy, it was evident that he was in a very bad place emotionally. He had been a world champion, and a lot of my friends in the business like Dreamer and Kevin Nash had a long history with him. I wanted to help. Director Eric Nyenhuis came up with the idea for the documentary, and I knew it would be a gripping and important journey for everyone, especially those who are dealing with similar issues.”

Last spring, Gere connected Polaco to a small cameo role in a prison yard fight scene in the 1970’s era crime film, VAULT, that he executive produced, directed by Tom DeNucci. Polaco was being bars several months later.

Executive Producer Douglas Cartelli, a Connecticut and New York based businessman man, is seen in the documentary taking a very serious stance on Polaco’s choices upon getting him released from jail.

“The day we got Pete our was very tough,” Cartelli said. “He was broken, but motivated to take a forward step. This is a unique story. It’s about fame and success, then watching it all crumble. It is about family. It is about darkness. It is about the hope of making one move at a time to beat what has become Pete’s worst opponent.”

Producer Chelsea Vale handled Pete’s wife, Jill Jurecki’s involvement in the documentary.

“Working on interviewing Jill was very hard as I could see the anguish and pain pouring out of her,” Vale said. “This is evident in the trailer, as it is a very big part of the story – the despair cast on Pete’s family is probably the most difficult aspect to observe.”

Despite the difficult time earlier this fall and the extreme lows he has faced, Polaco himself is motivated to have the world see and hear his story.

“I’m filled with anticipation for people to see this because it’s a deep look into my life that’s marked with many dark degrees of struggle from addiction and alcoholism,” Polaco said. “But it’s also about what it means to survive as a professional wrestler at the age of forty-five, and about a man needing to take care of his family.”

Chris Jericho Poses With Impact Wrestling Executives

Former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho is a hot commodity in the wrestling business once again. Jericho proved that he can stay relevant by reinventing himself, and is the current IWGP Intercontinental Champion after beating Tetsuya Naito earlier this year at NJPW’s Dominion event. Jericho has so far refused to face Naito in a rematch at Wrestle Kingdom 13, while New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced a match between the two performers for the Intercontinental title at the Tokyo Dome show.

Chris had previously talked about being open to working with any promotion, and has categorically stated that he will not rule out working for any particular organization, including WWE and Impact Wrestling. In fact, Jericho is good friends with Impact Wrestling’s co-executive vice president Don Callis, and reportedly batted for him to get the role in the company.

Jericho previously talked about suggesting Callis and D’Amore to Leonard Asper, whose company Sygnus Corp owns a significant ownership stake in Anthem Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of Impact Wrestling.

“My thought process was, and this is not a slight on anyone that has ran that company or been part of that company, working with that company, that has been around for so long, through so many incarnations and through all its ups and downs, and now I found with the last incarnation with TNA/Global Force is that it was a dead company. There was nothing exciting about it or sparking it, so to me, the only way to get it rolling would be to completely change directions and go with somebody new and different,” said Jericho. “When Billy Corgan was up for it I would have much rather him run it over Dixie Carter because it was somebody new, and I just really felt that it was my place to call the guys and say, listen, if you guys really want to lose money go for it, or use it as a tax write off then you have the right place. But if you really want to do something and role with it and be at a place where people are excited about then you have to go in this direction, and these guys [Callis and D’Amore] are the guys to do it with. So that was basically the jist of the conversation and it worked because here you guys are, but this is really the only way the company to grow is by doing something completely different and new.”

Adding more fuel to the fire, Jericho recently uploaded a photo to his Instagram account, where he was seen posing with Impact Wrestling executives Callis, Ed Nordholm and Scott D’Amore.

The Young Bucks Address All Elite Wrestling Trademark Filings (AUDIO)

Related image

The Young Bucks say recent trademark filings related to All Elite Wrestling were done in effort to keep the group’s options open next year and protect themselves at the same time.

Nick and Matt Jackson are guests on the upcoming episode of Petey’s Wrestling Perspective Podcast with co-host Dennis Farrell and the two brothers didn’t shy away from talking about the filings in an exclusive clip given to Pro Wrestling Sheet.

Matt says the group all discussed the possibility of doing a follow-up to All In immediately after the successful event in Chicago. Everyone involved agreed that they’d have to do another at some point. “We’re in a situation now where we don’t exactly know what we’re going to do,” Matt explained. “But we do want to protect ourselves in case we decide to do something.

In case you missed it, multiple trademarks were filed this month which seem to indicate future plans for events called Double or Nothing and All Out. The address listed on the docs indicates the group is working with the billionaire Khan family, who own the Jacksonville Jaguars.

According to sources, Cody and the Bucks are leading the charge behind the scenes on this possible new venture for once their ROH deals expire. As we previously reported, we’ve been told Jim Ross and Chris Jericho would only be involved on a talent level should any promotion get off the ground.

Jim Ross talked about this in a roundabout way on his latest podcast. “I’ve been rumored to be in every role in this company and what you find out is eye-rolling,” Ross said unhappily.

“At one point it’s Jericho and me, which I thought ‘that’s really stupid.’ Me and Jericho are gonna spend all the money we made over the years to get into the wrestling business. ‘Nah, you crazy? Are you nuts?’ Then secondly, then we’re not involved at all. It’s these other guys that are really the movers and shakers. There ain’t nothing to move here, folks. There ain’t nothing to shake.”

The legendary announcer then discussed with guest Dave Meltzer how a promotion like All Elite Wrestling would need a TV deal with a major cable or broadcast network to be successful.

Nick Jackson talked further about the future of The Elite during the interview with Petey Williams and said, “We have offers on the table from every major company in the world.” Matt additionally noted that they also have investors who want to work with the group.

“We haven’t said no, really, to anything,” Nick added. “So we’re just keeping our options open and protecting ourselves at the same time.”

The full interview goes live this evening and covers the Bucks’ exit from Impact Wrestling, how it’s been working for Ring of Honor, getting talent over on Being the Elite and more.

Teenage Female Fan Issues Statement On James Ellsworth, Responds To His Statement On Legal Action

Image result for James Ellsworth

The 16 year old pro wrestling fan who recently accused former WWE Superstar James Ellsworth of sending her nude photos has released a statement in response to a statement that Ellsworth released this week.

The female fan, who uses the name Kenzie on Twitter, is standing by her original claims. She did say she regrets going to social media with what happened, but that she is learning from the mistake. She also accused Ellsworth of doing “hardcore drugs” but that accusation was based off hearsay. You can read her full statement below:

“Mr.Ellsworth made a statement. Everyone is sending me. I seen it. Y’all got to think, If a minor ‘allegedly’ accused you of sending nudes, wouldn’t you do everything to save your ass too? People act like he is going to come out and admit it all

I know the truth. All the stories I’ve heard about him disgust me. People who worked with him, and know him have told me he’s has done hardcore drugs before also. His own bestfriend is even admitted over a phone call to a girl who has known Jimmy since 2012 that Jimmy has been unspeakable things all his life. In all the screenshots girls, people who have worked with him, promoters, wrestlers, etc the reason I blurred out their names out of respect. I don’t need tons of people hitting them up also

It’s funny the account he added me from, tons of girls also sent me that same exact snap, and said that he gave them the exact snapchat to them. I’ve heard that Snapchat is one he uses to just add girls. Also, people saying ‘Well, his face wasn’t in any of the explicit photos”. Let me know when you find a guy who shows his face when he’s taking pictures of his junk.

People say ‘Oh, why’d she give a grown man on snapchat, etc’. You guys are telling me, if a wrestler you liked and were a fan of you, you wouldn’t do that to? I have plenty of wrestlers on my snapchat (Nia, Mojo, Shinsuke, and more)

Someone who I was a fan of, met twice, bought his shirt, cheered him at matches, supported his wrestling career, why would I want to ruin his career & life? He has kids also, I wouldn’t destroy someone’s family just for the hell of it. If I were to fake a pedo, it wouldn’t be someone as low profile as Ellsworth

There is always gonna be people siding with him. When things like this happen, not everyone is only going to be on one side. Going to social media first about this is the biggest mistake I made, and I understand that. I regret doing that, but everything is a learning lesson”

As we noted before, Ellsworth issued a statement this week that said his legal team recently wrapped a thorough investigation into the accusations and they are ready to pursue legal action. Ellsworth’s statement reads like this:

“Recently, allegations of misconduct have been lodged against me which I categorically deny. I never have, nor will I ever engage in any activity that could be deemed as inappropriate or disrespectful. My delay in publicly commenting on this situation was based on the advice of my legal team which has just completed a thorough investigation. My attorneys have pinpointed a trusted witness who is willing to testify on my behalf. In addition, they have uncovered concrete evidence that supports my innocence and proves that without a shadow of a doubt the social media accounts alleged to be mine are fake and the messages from the account were fraudulently created without my knowledge or consent. My only hope is to restore my reputation as I, along with my family, friends and supporters have suffered because of a social media stunt devised to end my professional wrestling career. My team and I are prepared to pursue legal action against any party that persists with the promotion of these lies.”

Cody Rhodes Says January Announcement Will “Be Bigger Than Anyone Expects”

Related image

Ever since the commercial and critical success of All In, there has been rampant speculation that Cody and The Young Bucks aren’t done making history. If the trio were able to pull off a successful independent pay-per-view, what’s stopping them from creating a successful wrestling promotion?

Cody hasn’t addressed the rumors of him starting a new promotion head on, but he did tease some information regarding it during a meet and greet in Melbourne, Australia. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that when asked about a new promotion, Cody said to wait for January as an announcement would be made. Cody also said the announcement “would be bigger than anyone expects.”

Cody’s tease comes on the heels of news which may or may not be related to the planned announcement. Last week it was reported that the co-owner of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars filed trademarks for a promotion called “All Elite Wrestling.” This, obviously, could be a play off The ELITE faction in which Cody and The Bucks are a part of in New Japan and ROH.

Additionally, All Elite Wrestling, LLC also registered trademarks for “ALL OUT” and “Double or Nothing” among others. “Double or Nothing” is the rumored name for the All In 2 pay-per-view which would supposedly be held in Las Vegas.

January 2019 is turning out to be a monumental month for Cody and The Young Bucks. It’s already well-known that Cody is now a free agent and the Bucks will be come the end of the year. Cody hasn’t shied away from the fact that they could show up in WWE or somewhere else at that time. This latest news would seem to throw cold water on those plans but no one outside of Cody and The Bucks know what’s really going to happen.

As we previously reported, Cuervo — who was knocked unconscious when the concrete block hit his head from above/behind — underwent successful surgery to remove a blood clot from his brain.

Elite Related Trademark Filings Seemingly Connect Group To Rumored New Promotion

elite trademarks trademark filings all in double or nothing all out tuesday night dynamite tony khan

The rumored promotion being worked on behind the scenes by The Elite, Chris Jericho, Jim Ross and the co-owner of the Jaguars now has some legs to stand on due to newly filed documents.

WrestlingNews.co first reported a company called All Elite Wrestling, LLC based out of Florida filed several new trademarks this month for the following:

  • All Elite Wrestling and AEW
  • AEW Double or Nothing and AEW All Out – which, among many things, lists the trademark can be used for “live streaming of video pay-per-view events on the internet”
  • Tuesday Night Dynamite – which, among many things, lists the trademark can be used for television shows “featuring sports, entertainment and subjects of general human interest”

Obviously, the Double or Nothing and All Out names would seem to signal The Elite are involved and planning the follow up to All In with this company — which listed its address on the documents as TIAA Bank Field, the home of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

A report recently surfaced claiming Chris Jericho and Jim Ross are attempting to launch a wrestling company with Jaguars co-owner Tony Khan, the son of billionaire Shahid Khan. As you’d expect from him, Jericho shot down the report.

During his recent interview with The Elite, however, Y2J stated many times that he’d like to continue working with the group and Being the Elite going forward. This was the same episode in which The Elite announced they were no longer affiliated with Bullet Club.

It’s also worth mentioning that the group started a countdown on their weekly series last month that will finish at the end of December when they become free agents.

wrestler mexico concrete head video blood clot brain

The wrestler who was hospitalized in Mexico on Monday after being hit in the head with a concrete block has undergone successful surgery to remove a blood clot from his brain.

As we previously reported, Cuervo — a wrestler from Puerto Rico who was competing in Mexico — got knocked unconscious after a wrestler named Angel o Demonio threw a concrete block at his head from above/behind. The wrestler was immediately hospitalized afterward.

According to an update on Cuervo’s Facebook page, surgery was required to remove the clot and hours later it was said to be a success by his manager. He’s apparently in stable condition now.

Due to this incident, Angel o Demonio has been suspended indefinitely by the Boxing and Wrestling Commission of Mexico. They are also seeking to find out why the promoters had an extreme wrestling match when it is prohibited.
