For those not familiar with Corey Storm – He is an upcoming 18 year old sensational wrestler on the rise. Storm recently made it onto the PWI annual top 500 list at number 500.

I have been following his career since I first seen him compete at a World Wrestling Alliance (independent promotion based in Kentucky) in Evansville, In and was very impressed with his in ring talent.

Matt Hardy Parodies Chris Jericho Losing His AEW Title, Jericho Responds

Matt Hardy took some time out of his date night with wife Reby Hardy to parody what happened to AEW Champion Chris Jericho. As it was noted earlier this week, the AEW Championship was stolen on Sunday while Chris Jericho was eating at a LongHorn Steakhouse in Tallahassee, Florida. The title was later found along the side of the road.

Matt Hardy posted the above video on his YouTube channel. In the video, Hardy walks out of a LongHorn Steakhouse restaurant with a missing belt.

“Just had a wonderful date night with my beautiful wife here at a very classy restaurant as you can… Hold up (runs back inside the restaurant and grabs his belt) that son of a b—- tried to steal my belt. Reby, where’s our limousine?”

He also posted that he wasn’t teasing Chris Jericho, just the situation. Hardy wrote on Twitter, “For the record, I am not making fun of Chris Jericho. I just saw an opportunity to make a cute parody of last week’s wacky events & remind people of how entertaining I can be. Chris is a great friend & is an industry master of evolution & reaction. ENJOY!”

Chris Jericho responded to the video, “I loved it! It was OUTSTEEEEEENDING!!!!”

AEW announced on Wednesday that Moxley will face-off against Omega on November 9 at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore at AEW’s “Full Gear” pay-per-view.

https://twitter.com/AEWrestling/status/1169340204357840896

As you’ll recall, Moxley required surgery to fix a case of MRSA that returned in his elbow. PAC was confirmed as his replacement and ultimately won the match against Omega.

This is the first bout confirmed for “Full Gear.”

Tickets to the event go on sale this Friday, September 6th at Noon ET / 9am PT.

WWE Draft Reportedly Being Planned For October

The next WWE Draft is set to take place in October.

The two-night Draft is scheduled to begin on the Friday, October 11 SmackDown episode from Las Vegas, which will be the second SmackDown Fox episode. The Draft will then wrap on the October 14 RAW from Denver, according to Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com and John Pollock of POST Wrestling.

The 2019 Draft is part of a series of moves that will be done to freshen up the RAW and SmackDown rosters. There will be other changes made in October to help freshen up the shows.

As noted a few weeks back, via the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE officials have been working on a new Draft concept to build to permanent red and blue brand rosters. It was previously reported that there would be no major changes to the rosters ahead of the SmackDown Fox premiere on October 4, just some minor changes. This new directive was made by Vince McMahon. It was also reported that plans are being kept quiet as USA Network and Fox representatives will be the first ones to know when the new concept is decided on.

Impact Reportedly Pulling Killer Kross From Upcoming Event Due To Concerns Of Lawsuit

When Impact fans last saw Killer Kross, he was defeated by Eddie Edwards in a First Blood Match at Slammiversary XVII. Kross had a kendo stick jammed into his mouth during the match which resulted in blood and the loss, however, it turns out it was not his blood.

According to PWInsider, Kross refused to blade during the match because there was no outside medical personnel in attendance. Impact was forced to track down fake blood hours before the show to book the match and the finish as planned.

Kross hasn’t been booked since then and Impact is reportedly planning to remove him from their September 15 AAA event in New York amid concerns that Kross will soon be suing Impact.

Kross’ problems with the promotion precede Slammiversary as he’s been in a contract standoff with Impact for months. He doesn’t feel as though he’s being compensated fairly and he made that clear during a July interview on Wrestling Inc.’s  WINCLY podcast.

“I don’t have anything disparaging to say about the company and I made that clear,” Kross said. “The bottom line is that I’m a human being. Killer Kross might not be a human being but I am. The guy behind the glass coat is and personal circumstances change in life. I felt I was contributing to a greater degree than I was being compensated and I tried to find a common ground with them but we weren’t able to find one. But I’m a professional through and through.”

“My status with them: hard to say. But I’m going out there and giving everybody my best,” Kross said before adding that he should’t say anything about getting a better deal from Impact because “hypothetically they could use it against me.”

Kross also noted that he would like to stay with Impact if everything can be worked out but it’s of best interest to him and his family to be compensated what he feels that he’s worth.

Kross does have the ability to wrestle for independents and he did just that recently. On September 1 he defeated Tom Lawlor at a Warrior Wrestling event which was highlighted by Impact and Warrior Wrestling World Champion Brian Cage defeating Michael Elgin.

Jon Moxley Pulled From Starrcast III

Conrad Thompson has confirmed that Jon Moxley will not be appearing at the Starrcast III event in Chicago this weekend.

As noted, Moxley was pulled from Saturday’s AEW All Out match against Kenny Omega due to a bad case of MRSA in his elbow. He’s being replaced by PAC in the match. Moxley is expected to be out of action for 4 weeks.

“We received word today that unfortunately @JonMoxley won’t be able to travel to @StarrcastEvents. Once he got the word from his doctor he told us, “I’m sorry, this sucks.” I’m sure we all echo those sentiments. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him soon,” Conrad wrote on Wednesday night.

He continued, “Everyone who purchased his meet and greet has been notified via email. Refunds will begin being processed tomorrow. His stage show has been cancelled and a new schedule will be released tomorrow.”

Jon Moxley Reportedly Dealing With Injury

Jon Moxley is currently dealing with some sort of elbow injury, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

There’s no word yet on injury specifics, but it may be an infection that Moxley picked up while working in Japan for New Japan Pro Wrestling this summer.

Moxley worked Northeast Wrestling indie events this past weekend and his singles matches were switched to tag matches, except for the match with Pentagon Jr. Moxley insisted on doing that singles match but was very careful not to bump on the elbow.

Moxley is scheduled to face Kenny Omega at AEW’s All Out pay-per-view next Saturday, August 31.

Jeff Jarrett Posts Tribute To His Grandfather Eddie Marlin

Memphis wrestling legend Eddie Marlin died at age 89 this past week. Marlin was the grandfather of WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett and father-in-law of Jerry Jarrett.

Jeff Jarrett shared a touching tribute to his late grandfather on Saturday evening by posting a photo of the pair in a match together. At the time of the photo, Jarrett was 19 and Marlin was 56.

Along with the photo, Jarrett wrote, “Today we laid to rest my grandfather, Eddie Marlin. Grandfathers n grandsons often work together; but, in professional wrestling, it’s rare to actually have a match where your partner is your grandfather. I was 19 and Pops was 56 when we tagged at the Fairgrounds! Love ya Pops!”
