Rosemary Provides Injury Update, Replaces Sexy Star At Event

sexy star

As noted, over the weekend Sexy Star purposefully injured Rosemary’s shoulder at the end of their Reina de Reinas Championship Match (which also included Lady Shani & Ayako Hamada) at AAA’s TripleMania XXV event. Since then, Rosemary has responded to what happened, commenting that Sexy Star tried to say it was a work, which Rosemary wanted to make very clear that it wasn’t. While a number of wrestling stars have reacted to the incident, Sexy Star has already felt the backlash, getting pulled from a WrestleCade Weekend event.

Yesterday, WrestleCade announced that Rosemary will be making an appearance for that same event.

Rosemary also took to Twitter yesterday to provide an update on her injury, saying it’s a strained tricep/bicep with swelling around the area and that time away from the ring should be minimal. She also thanked those who supported her and when wrestlers do make mistakes in the ring, they should own up to them. You can see her full comments below.

Sexy Star Pulled From Upcoming Booking Over Rosemary Incident

sexy star

Sexy Star is starting to feel the backlash for reportedly purposely injuring Rosemary’s shoulder at this past Saturday night’s AAA TripleMania XXV event.

Many wrestlers have spoken out over Star’s actions, and now promotions are starting to take action.

WrestleCade announced that they have pulled Sexy Star from their WrestleCade Weekend event in late November. Below is the official statement from WrestleCade:

The WrestleCade Team has read the online reports, watched the video, and saw both deleted & still posted tweets regarding the incident between Sexy Star & Rosemary at this weekends AAA’s TripleMania Event. We now have heard from Rosemary who said it was obvious to her that Sexy Star tried to intentionally injure her after their match ended. There is no place for this in professional wrestling. Therefore we have made the decision NOT to bring Sexy Star to WrestleCade Weekend. We’re sorry for the fans who were looking forward to meeting her but we encourage you to read the reports and we hope you’ll agree with our decision.

Anyone who ordered meet and greet tickets in advance will be receiving refunds ASAP.

Rosemary Responds To Sexy Star Purposely Injuring Her During Match, Why She Didn’t Break Her Face

sexy star

As noted, Rosemary was injured at last night’s AAA Triplemania XXVPWinsider reported that at the end of the match pitting Sexy Star defending the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship against Rosemary, Lady Shani & Ayako Hamada, Sexy Star popped Rosemary’s arm out of place while applying her armbar submission in what appeared to be a shoot.

The injury is said to not be that serious, and Rosemary is not expected to be out of action for too long.

It was noted that Lady Shani and Star were legitimately shooting on each other at one point during the match. The backstage scene was said to be “extremely tense.” Star left the arena, but was brought back by Vampiro and she apologized to Rosemary. Star then quickly left again.

Rosemary issued the statement below addressing the situation. She noted that Star has been telling people that it was a work, and that “Star is a liar.”

“Let me make this perfectly clear: if you take liberties with someone’s body when they are giving it to you and trusting you to keep them safe, you are not tough. You are an asshole. And you don’t belong in this business.Sexy Star decided to do just that this weekend at TripleMania. And while I have remained quiet on social media until I was more calm to address the situation, I have now being informed that she is telling people that it is a work. You are all now being informed that Sexy Star is a liar. She was a liar in the locker room when she was forced to apologize and instead cooked up some bulls–t excuse that she ‘didn’t know’ and she is a liar now. You know if you are torquing on someone’s arm. You know an armbar is a real and dangerous hold.

The only reason your face is not broken right now is because a little voice inside my head as I lay on the apron kept repeating, ‘Don’t go to Mexican prison.’ (thanks Demon).

However, turning to positives, the outreach from the wrestling community has been incredible. I’m overwhelmed with how much love I feel right now from friends, fans, and people I have yet to meet in this amazing business. We are a family and we protect our own. If you violate that, you are not welcome here.

I also want to thank the AAA locker room. Multiple people came up to me saying how sorry and disgusted they were. Thank you Hamada and Shani, who also had to deal with bulls–t from Star during that match. Thank you, Vampiro, for professionally trying to calm a volatile situation, though, as you know, once the excuses started pouring out of Sexy Star’s mouth in lieu of an apology, it was over.

Thank you to the amazing GFW locker room, both present that night and not. I have so much support from everyone, and talent, crew and office have all reached out to show me that.”

The Wrestling World Is Furious With Sexy Star After She Legitimately Injured Rosemary At AAA Triplemania

sexy star

There are many wrestlers working to apply their craft all over the world, and even though they may not always get along behind the scenes, they have a responsibility to look out for one another, and keep each other safe when they’re inside the ring. Unfortunately it sounds like Sexy Star went into business for herself Saturday night at AAA Triplemania XXV.

Sexy Star defended the AAA Reinas de Reina Championship against Rosemary, Lady Shani and Ayako Hamada, and she made Rosemary tap out after applying her armbar submission. But after Rosemary tapped out, Sexy Star continued to apply pressure to the arm, and it was later reported that she legitimately popped Rosemary’s arm out of place.

PWInsider reports that the injury is not as serious as originally thought, and Rosemary isn’t expected to miss any time in the ring. The report notes that before Sexy Star left the venue, Vampiro brought her to Rosemary so she could apologize.

It’s also being reported that Sexy Star and Shani were legitimately shooting on each other at one point during the match, and Star quickly left the venue after apologizing to Rosemary, and Shani was said to be looking for Star because she was upset over their interaction in the ring.

You can check out a quick clip of Sexy Star locking in the armbar on Rosemary below:

It’s very clear that the wrestling world is not happy with Sexy Star at all, and you can check out some of the reactions below:

Low Ki Reportedly Gone From GFW

Low Ki is reportedly gone from Global Force Wrestling, after asking for his release from the company during this week’s set of tapings. While there are a few different versions of the account, the similarities were that he did ask for his release and it was said to be an “amicable” split between the two parties.

One version stated that it was a financial issue that led to his leaving, while another said it was over his creative direction. Reportedly, Low Ki was expecting to work in the GFW Championship scene, but the direction given to him was headed towards the X Division, where he would be in a championship match at GFW Bound for Glory.

Last week, Low Ki was slated to take on Alberto El Patron at the live Destination X for the GFW Championship, but Patron was stripped of the title, which effectively cancelled their match.

Returning to GFW for a fourth time in April of this year, Low Ki was able to win the X Division Championship for a fifth time in a six-man match on an episode of Impact. He then lost the title to Sonjay Dutt in June.

Last night through his Twitter, Tyrus announced GFW granted his release from the company. He thanked the company and wished success to the roster and crew.

While in WWE, Tyrus worked as The Funkasaurus until his release in June of 2014. He then signed with GFW (then TNA) in September of the same year under the name Tyrus, aligning himself with Ethan Carter III.
