“The Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko In WWE Hall Of Fame Class Of 2015

“The Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko was announced as an inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2015. Zbyszko is a former 2-time AWA World Heavyweight Champion. Zbyszko will be inducted by his hero, WWE Hall of Famer Bruno Sammartino.

Zbyszko commented on his WWE Hall of Fame induction:

“My gut feeling over the years was probably someday, sooner or later, I’d be getting in – and nit just because of the long career I had. I’m a fan at heart; I love this business, and the Hall of Fame is an awesome part of the business. This has been my life, and if I had to do it again, I’d do it all the same – except maybe not get married so many times.”

“I already have a speech in my head; it kind of just popped in there, because it’s the story of my dream – to become like my hero Bruno Sammartino. And I’ll also thank the people who helped me along the way. I’ve always considered myself one of the boys – everyone calls me ‘Sir’ these days, but I’m not that old!”

New talent in NXT

Australian female wrestler KC Cassidy has signed a developmental deal with WWE and will report to the WWE performance center in April.

Lance Storm said a student of his was signed to a contract on MLW radio a few weeks back and since has been confirmed it was KC Cassidy. She had a tryout with WWE back in August and was awaiting a visa clearance to be able to move to the states.

Cassidy has recently competed in “PWA” She began wrestling in 2009 and is a firmer champion in her own right. I’m sure her presence in NXT will be a greet one thus adding that much more diversity to an already established talented roster.

UFC 185 results

Yesteday UFC185 took place live from the American Airlines arena in Dallas Texas. This card was headlined by a Light Heavyweight title bout in which Champion Anthony Pettis defended his title against Rafiel Dos Anjos. The co main event was a women’s strawweight bout where the first ever Womens strawweight champion Carla Esparza defended her title for the first time against Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

Now I didn’t order this PPV nor was I able to keep up with results online and I gotta say I’m disappointed in myself because according to social media this was one of the best cards the UFC has seen in awhile. Not only that but both titles changed hands tonight.

Jedrzejczyk dominated a highly praised Esparza. She finished Esparza via TKO with 42 secs remaining in the 2nd round. According to many Jedrzejczyk made Esparza look like am amateur in the cage and even Esparza said she didn’t feel like herself out there. Maybe the nerves of a fist time title defense got to her. Who knows but either way now that Jedrzejczyk is the new champion I’m sure top contender strawweights will be chomping at the bit to get a crack at her.

In the main event Pettis was definitely the favorite going into this. He usually has fancy moves and his infamous kicks are usually the deciding factor in what he does. Even with CM Punk in his corner Pettis couldn’t get the job done, because the underdog Dos Anjos out wrestled and out strook “showtime”. Dos Anjos picked up the win after all 5 rounds by unanimous decision. Now with Anjos as champion it is sure to shake up the lightweight division.

So tell me what did you guys think of this card? What was your favorite bout? Let us know in the comments.

TNA to air knockout special

On the April 17th editon of ImpactWrestling the show will be dedicated to the knockouts divison. The title of the show will be TKO: Total Knockouts.

Let me tell you something folks, news like this makes me feel like it’s Christmas morning. The women in the knockouts divisions are something special. They’re superior athletes and some of them are the best women to ever lace up a pair of boots. If you haven’t watched anything knockout related or TNA related in general this event is the perfect day to start.

It was announced that new knockouts will debut at TKO (although no one in particular has been named in sure this will shake up the already star studded divison. Also announced we’re two matches. One of those matches being for the Knockouts title where the champion Taryn Terrell defending her title against Awesome Kong. The second match that was announced was a fatal 4 way Number 1 contenders match between Brooke Tessmatcher, Gail Kim, Angelina Love and Madison Rayne.

Based on those two matches alone I know I’m not going to want to miss this and I can tell you that if you’re a professional wrestling fan who respects women in the business just as much as the men neither are you.

Are you guys excited for this event? I know I am. What other knockout would you like to see compete? For me it would be Jessika Havok.

Remember you can catch impactwrestling on destination America every Friday at 7PT/10ET

Another Viewer Warning Issued For Tonight’s Impact

Earlier today, we posted TNA President Dixie Carter’s viewer discretion warning concerning tonight’s episode of Impact Wrestling. TNA employee Bob Ryder has reaffirmed that warning by also posting one on his Twitter account.

Bill DeMott Responds To Allegations

Former WWE NXT head trainer Bill DeMott has started to respond to some of the comments on Twitter about his departure and the allegations against him.

DeMott wrote the following in response to Dr. Tom Prichard blasting WWE earlier this week for how they handled their investigation into DeMott:

“I’ve said it before and still stands, I’ve never had an issue with Tom and everyone has an opinion.”

DeMott says he is not racist or homophobic. Here are some of the Twitter exchanges:

“@DallasAdonis I get that anyone can say what they want on social media, however if you knew me or anything about me you would know that would never come out of my mouth”

Here is a bizarre Bill DeMott WWE training story told by independent wrestler Hannibal involving Naked Stinkfaces by Luke Gallows (Festus) to Zack Ryder and female wrestler Melissa Coates while DeMott held jelly doughnuts over their faces. https://youtu.be/tldF3V9hyOI

The Young Bucks On WWE Trademarking ‘Too Sweet’ Hand Gesture

It was reported this week that WWE registered to trademark the NWO/Kliq ‘Too Sweet’ Hand gesture. New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s popular stable The Bullet Club uses the gesture.

The Bullet Club’s, The Young Bucks responded this week on Twitter and again on the microphone after their match at the FWE iPPV in Brooklyn on Wednesday. They cut a promo and said WWE will have to cut their hands off.

Here is some tweets of theirs and one Nick Jackson retweeted:

Many fans last night on Twitter during SmackDown believed that WWE took a shot at The Young Bucks during the Roman Reigns and Mark Henry segment. Henry told Reigns that young bucks like him think they know it all and done it all but haven’t been nowhere.

Sean “X-Pac” Waltman weighed in on WWE trying to trademark the symbol. Here is a exchange he had with Nick of The Young Bucks on Twitter:
