The TNA Knockouts division gained a major new addition on this week’s episode of TNA Impact as former WWE star Zoey Serrano, formerly known as Zoey Stark, made her surprise debut.
Zoey Serrano Arrives In TNA
Following the crowning of the inaugural Knockouts TV Champion, M By Elegance, the focus shifted to ongoing tensions between Indi Hartwell and TNA official Daria Rae.
Hartwell attempted to pressure Daria into granting her a match when she was suddenly blindsided from behind by Serrano. As Hartwell lay on the mat, Daria watched on before introducing Serrano as the newest member of the Knockouts division and a personal friend.
The surprise attack immediately established Serrano as an ally of Daria and put her at odds with Hartwell.
Indi Hartwell’s Title Pursuit Hits Another Roadblock
Later in the show, Hartwell continued lobbying for a Knockouts Championship opportunity.
Backstage, she crossed paths with champion Xia Brookside, who mocked her while Harley Hudson looked on.
Santino Marella appeared willing to grant Hartwell a championship match, but Daria reminded him of Hartwell’s previous disciplinary issues, including a verbal confrontation and a prior physical altercation that resulted in a suspension.
According to Daria, the TNA board will determine whether Hartwell is eligible for a title opportunity.
Until then, a tag team match has been announced for next week’s Impact, with Xia Brookside and Zoey Serrano set to face Indi Hartwell and Harley Hudson.
Former WWE Star Begins New Chapter
Serrano is best known to wrestling fans as Zoey Stark, a standout performer during her WWE run.
She signed with WWE in 2021 and quickly established herself as one of the company’s rising stars. During her time in NXT, she captured the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Iyo Sky.
However, injuries repeatedly interrupted her momentum. Stark suffered a torn MCL and meniscus in 2021 before later enduring a devastating knee injury that included tears to her ACL, MCL, and meniscus.
After spending nearly a year recovering, she was reportedly medically cleared shortly before being released as part of WWE’s post-WrestleMania 42 roster cuts.
Now competing under the name Zoey Serrano, the former WWE star has officially arrived in TNA and immediately made an impact.
With her alliance with Daria Rae already established and a match against Indi Hartwell set for next week, Serrano’s TNA career is off to a heated start.
