F4WOnline.com is reporting that there will be an internal meeting tonight at TNA Bound For Glory to discuss the future of the company. As noted, the New York Post reported that an “unidentified third party” paid the advance for the tonight’s pay-per-view and this week’s television tapings.

As noted, Bound For Glory will be proceeding as scheduled this Sunday, as are next week’s television tapings in Orlando.

According to the New York Post, an “unidentified third party” paid the advance for the shows. TNA President Billy Corgan also commented on the pay-per-view proceeding this Sunday.

“It’s a go, as far as I’ve been told,” Corgan said.

Nothing has changed regarding the ownership of the company. The Post noted that “WWE and Corgan are expected to resume talks about a change in Impact ownership after the weekend’s broadcast.” It was noted once again that WWE would just purchase the company’s video library and shut it down if they were to reach an agreement.

Meanwhile Dixie Carter, who still owns the majority stake in TNA, hyped Sunday’s pay-per-view and next week’s television tapings, tweeting:

Match Changed For Sunday’s TNA Bound For Glory PPV

Drew Galloway revealed last week that he was injured and would be out of action for a few weeks. Galloway was scheduled to face Aron Rex for the tournament finals at Bound For Glory this Sunday to crown the first-ever TNA Grand Champion. TNA had been advertising Galloway for Sunday’s pay-per-view, but announced today that Galloway has not been cleared for the show following a scheduled doctor’s visit this morning.

“I’m upset. Clearly. This sucks,” Galloway told ImpactWrestling.com “I love nothing more than wrestling and this is a match that will make history. The fact that it was against Aron Rex made it even sweeter. I’ll be watching this match closely from the Impact Zone. Aron Rex got lucky. No one can keep me from being there on Sunday.”

It was noted that there is no timetable for Galloway’s return, and an announcement will be made on Sunday for an opponent for Aron Rex.

Dixie Carter Says She’ll Be ‘Sharing News’ Soon

Source: WrestlingINC

As noted, it’s crunch time for TNA this week as the company needs to fund this Sunday’s TNA Bound for Glory pay-per-view and their next set of television tapings in Orlando, Florida. For what it’s worth, Dixie Carter tweeted this evening that she will be “sharing news soon.”

Carter is still majority owner of the company and will make the final decision on who buys it. Both Billy Corgan and Aroluxe, who each own a piece of TNA, have been negotiating to purchase a majority interest in the company and some sort of decision will need to be made by Friday in order to pay for the production of Sunday’s pay-per-view.

More On TNA Sale Negotiations, Dixie Carter Being Blamed For The Mess, WWE Out Of The Picture Again?

Source: WrestlingINC

As noted, it’s crunch time for TNA this week as the company needs to fund this Sunday’s TNA Bound for Glory pay-per-view and their next set of television tapings in Orlando, Florida.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Dixie Carter, who is still majority owner of the company with 70% of the stock, is being blamed for making the sale a mess.

“There are a lot of hurdles and games being played,” someone with knowledge of the sale talks told Meltzer. “She (Dixie Carter) has really made a mess and is responsible for all of it.”

Carter will be making the decision on who gets the company. Carter doesn’t have the money to afford this weeks shows, which would cost around $600,000, and needs someone who can fund it. Another person close to the situation told Meltzer that they thought Aroluxe had control of the company last week, and then thought Corgan had it this past Saturday.

“Now I know the same BS is still going back-and-forth,” they told Meltzer. “She is something else. I’ve never met someone so clueless. She is out of touch on all levels. Both sides want her out. There is no doubt there. It’s the only thing they can agree on.”

It was noted that WWE was back in the picture at the start of the week because of TNA executive John Gaburick, who was with WWE until 2013, but was back out. TNA also has millions of dollars of debt, much of which is to Aroluxe and Corgan, but there are other creditors. Fite TV reportedly also has a stake in the company. If WWE were to purchase the company, they wouldn’t assume the debt and it would be the end of the company, as they would just be purchasing the tape library and taking some talent.

Meltzer noted that a deal pretty much has to be made by this Friday, otherwise there will be no Bound For Glory pay-per-view on Sunday and television tapings next week, which would put TNA in breach of their television and pay-per-view contracts. That doesn’t “guarantee death,” but television partners could use it to cancel the show.

As noted, Corgan appeared on Busted Open yesterday to discuss the uncertainty regarding the future of TNA and said that there are a lot of people at the table looking at the company.

“It’s reached a point where it’s going to have a transformational moment,” Corgan said. “Whatever’s going to happen this week or this weekend or whatever, is going to for sure – and this is not a wrestling angle – it is definitely going to change the direction of the company forever. Does that mean the company ends, does that mean the company begins a new era? Obviously I am very much on the side and very much invested that the company would continue.”

Corgan said that he had to step in at the “literally the last minute” for the last three rounds of tapings, so he’s used to being in this situation. He said that ultimately it’s not up to him, but he’s done everything he can to create a scenario to go forward. He said that he’s been the financer, and that he has no investors, so he’s committed and charging forward on his own initiative.

“Having been through this the last three rounds, I still remain very optimistic that come Sunday I will be standing in the ring putting over what’s about to happen,” Corgan said. “I will be in Orlando come rain or shine. I can’t speak for everybody else at this particular moment, but I will be in Orlando this Sunday.”

TNA President Billy Corgan Appeared On ESPN Radio’s The Dan Le Batard Show – Talks TNA Situation

Source: WrestlingINC

TNA President Billy Corgan appeared on ESPN Radio’s The Dan Le Batard Show moments ago and discussed the current state of TNA. Things have not changed since yesterday, and a sale has not been finalized.

Corgan was asked about WWE being interested in buying TNA and how you win a bidding war with Vince McMahon. Corgan said that you don’t, and McMahon could buy it if he wanted to and there’s nothing anyone “or God” can do to stop him. As of this moment, it hasn’t happened and he doesn’t think it will, and he hopes that he would know since he’s involved in the process of buying the company and owns a piece.

Corgan noted that there is currently “a gunfight” with who will get control of the company. He wouldn’t say 100% that Bound For Glory will happen this Sunday, but that that he hopes everything will be resolved. He doesn’t think everyone involved would want a situation where everyone is put out of work. He’s spoken to talent that have told him to not take a bad deal.

When asked about the issues he is currently facing regarding the sale, Corgan talked about pro wrestling struggling with revenue and noted that a wrestling show will generate much lower ad revenue than another show with similar (or lower) ratings. He said that there is a money struggle, but also a creative one on what the company will look like. He said that the low ad rates are due to the perception of wrestling, and he wants to change that.

Corgan said that WWE has really been the only company that has had a winning philosophy in the business. He said that while they’ve had a winning philosophy, there are different ways you can do business. He made a comparison of Game of Thrones andBreaking Bad, noting how they’re both completely different but successful. He wants to create a different kind of product with TNA, and one of the struggles has been that there are others who have a completely different vision for how the company should be. He also said that TNA needs consistent capital in order to promote and grow the company, which they haven’t had in a long time.
