AEW Stars Ruby Soho And Angelo Parker Announce Pregnancy

For most of 2024, AEW’s Ruby Soho has been embroiled in a feud with Outcast stablemate Saraya, while growing closer with Angelo Parker. As the storyline progressed, however, Soho’s in-ring output decreased, with her last match occurring back in February, and she had recently disappeared from television altogether as Parker continued to feud with Saraya and her brother, Zak Knight.

As it turns out, Soho had a pretty good reason for not being around. Following “AEW Dynamite” last night, in a segment taped for Saturday’s “AEW Rampage,” Soho appeared for the first time in weeks to reveal to Parker she had been absent because she discovered she was pregnant. Fightful Select would later confirm this wasn’t just a storyline, and that Soho and Parker, who are a real-life couple, are expecting their first child, with the couple deciding to incorporate Soho’s pregnancy into their TV romance.

Soho’s announcement last night was the only segment taped for “Rampage,” as the show is scheduled to air outside of its 10:00 Friday timeslot this weekend, instead airing live immediately following “Collision” on Saturday. While no firm reason has been given for why the segment was taped last night instead of airing live, Soho is a native of Lafayette, Indiana, only an hour away from last night’s “Dynamite” location in Indianapolis, thus allowing the AEW star to announce her pregnancy in her home state.

Though the segment will air this Saturday, footage of Soho’s announcement and Parker’s emotional reaction can be found on social media. No further details were given on when Soho is expecting, let alone when she’d return to the ring. Wrestling Inc. would like to offer its congratulations to both Soho and Parker.

Ruby Soho Returns to AEW Television During Dynamite

Ruby Soho made her return and attacked Melo during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Soho left Melo on the ramp with the Destination Unknown after the two brawled at ringside.

Soho broke her nose during the conclusion of Soho and Ortiz vs. Tay Melo and Sammy Guevara at the AEW All Out PPV.

Ruby Soho Set To Undergo Surgery For Injury Suffered At AEW All Out

Ruby Soho has revealed that she will be out of active competition for a while.

In a video posted to One Pro Wrestling’s Twitter account, Soho revealed that she was forced to bow out of an upcoming show due to a surgery she will be undergoing to correct her broken nose and her “mess of a septum”. She apologized to fans before saying that she hoped she would be able to make it back in England for the promotion’s show on February 18.

“Honestly, this is the only thing that would keep me from coming back to England,” Soho said in the video. “I was very much looking forward to the show and very much looking forward to meeting all of you and seeing all of you again, so for that, I do truly apologize.”

Soho competed in a mixed tag team match at All Out, teaming up with her partner Ortiz to take on AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champions Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo for their titles in a losing effort. Soho suffered the injury after she took a knee from Melo to the face, and subsequently held her nose as blood gushed out.

Soho debuted in AEW last year, at the same pay-per-view, as the Joker in the Women’s Casino Battle Royal. She went on to win the match and earn herself a future shot at the AEW Women’s Championship. She then went on to make it to the finals of the TBS Championship Tournament, but lost to Jade Cargill. She then competed in the Owen Hart Cup Tournament, but again fell short after Britt Baker bested her in the finals.

Ruby Soho Reveals Latest Teaser Vignette: “The Riot Is Over”

Ruby Soho has arrived in New York City, according to her latest teaser vignette.

The former Ruby Riott began releasing her own vignettes on Twitter a few weeks back. The first vignette had Soho apparently traveling from Orlando to Penn Station in New York City. The second video had Soho stealing a car and going for a joyride while listening to a few songs. She had some sort of breakdown when her former Riott Squad WWE theme song started playing.

In an update, Soho released a new vignette last night that shows her arriving in The Big Apple. She gets caught by police while tagging “[heart] Less” on a wall with spray paint, and then walks by a man who is tagging “The Riot Is Over” on another wall. There may or may not be an intentional Omega symbol above the last line.

The vignette then shows Soho showing her old “Heidi Lovelace” ID to get into a bar, only to then reveal a new “Ruby Soho” ID card that gets her admitted. She has a few adult beverages and is shown walking around the city some more before the vignette ends. It was revealed by fans on Twitter that she bar is actually in Jersey City, not New York City. The name of the establishment is The Pet Shop Bar & Restaurant.

It looks like the former Ruby Riott will now be known as “The Runaway” Ruby Soho.

The vignette also features a “Destination: ——-” graphic, which is leading to speculation on where she might be headed. Some fans are speculating that the 7 blank spaces could stand for Chicago, which is near where AEW’s All Out pay-per-view and TV tapings are being held this week.

Rancid’s “Ruby Soho” single plays during this latest vignette. Lars Frederiksen, singer for the band, had Ruby on his Wrestling Perspective podcast back in June and agreed to help secure the rights to the song for her new post-WWE entrance theme. The “Ruby” name was originally inspired by Rancid’s “Ruby Soho” single from their 1995 “…And Out Come The Wolves” album, and she noted that she holds that name very dear to her heart.

There is still no word on where Soho will end up. It was reported earlier this month that there were plans for Ruby to eventually debut for AEW, but it was also said that multiple companies were interested in working with her, and that some were being told that she was not taking any bookings. There was speculation at one point that these new vignettes were leading up to her big debut at the Grand Slam edition of AEW Dynamite in New York City on September 22.

Ruby was released from her WWE contract back on June 2, along with other budget cuts. She becomes a free agent today as her 90-day non-compete clause with WWE is expiring.

Former WWE Superstar Ruby Soho Teases Next Career Move In New Vignette

Former WWE Superstar Ruby Soho (Ruby Riott) has released a teaser video in anticipation of her return to the ring. Is she AEW bound?

Former WWE Superstar Ruby Soho (Ruby Riott) has shared a vignette in which she teased her return to the world of wrestling following her WWE release back in June.

Ruby took to Twitter to share the 1-minute-long teaser video on Tuesday, August 17. In the video, Ruby can be seen hurrying to catch a train. At one point, the camera cuts to focus o the ticket in her hand which says she is traveling from Orlando to New York’s Penn Station. Unfortunately, Ruby arrives at the platform too late and can do nothing but watch as the train pulls away from the station without her onboard. As the video ends, its title, “The Runaway” appears on screen.

So far, there’s been no official word from Ruby regarding her next move, but if the ticket in the vignette is a clue, her destination is no longer unknown. We can assume that her return will take place at an event in New York, which is where AEW will be hosting its “Grand Slam Dynamite” on September 22nd.

Former WWE Superstar Ruby Riott (Ruby Soho) Is Expected To Sign With AEW

Former WWE Superstar Ruby Riott, who now goes by Ruby Soho, is expected to sign with AEW once her non-compete runs out.

Ruby Riott is expected to sign with AEW once her 90-day non-compete clause with WWE comes to an end.

WWE has released a lot of people so far in 2021. More than 40 of them so far with Bray Wyatt and Ric Flair being shown the door over the course of the last few days. Some of those released have already found landing spots elsewhere, such as Andrade and Chelsea Green. A number of others are still waiting for their non-compete clauses to come to an end, or may just be weighing up their options.

One of those waiting for their non-compete to come to an end is Ruby Riott. Well, the Superstar formerly known as Ruby Riott. She will now be called Ruby Soho going forward, reportedly with the blessing of  Rancid, the band who sings the song of the same name. She might even be able to use the track as her entrance whenever she wrestles next.

As for where that might be, according to Fightful Select (via WrestleTalk) Soho’s most likely landing spot is AEW. While the two parties can’t strike a deal until Soho’s time with WWE is officially over, which will be after the non-compete expires, apparently, once that time has passed fans can expect to see her become All Elite.

While AEW has been criticized for picking up a lot of the wrestlers WWE has released over the course of the past 18 months, Soho might be one of the wisest pick-ups so far. No element of AEW has been criticized more during its first two years than its women’s division. It is well on its way to improving that part of its promotion via the likes of Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa, adding Soho to the mix will further it even more.
