Jeff Jarrett’s GFW Makes Announcement On Jim Ross & NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 9

Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling announced that WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross, the preeminent voice of pro wrestling for the past 4 decades, has agreed to provide the play-by-play for GFW’s presentation of New Japan Pro Wrestling’s “Wrestle Kingdom 9” live on pay-per-view in North America on January 4, 2015.

This is the 24th year of NJPW’s annual extravaganza at the Tokyo dome. More than 40,000 fans from all around the world are expected to attend.

“I am truly honored and excited to have been asked to be a part of this historic event,” Ross said. ” To be able to return to my roots and to provide play by play for an amazing, pro wrestling product will be special. I never thought I’d ever return to ringside for a wrestling event but this opportunity was just too special to turn down.”

Jarrett said: “I’m excited for this event, and I’m excited for good ol’ JR to be a part of it. GFW fans wanted him, and from day one we said we’re going to give our fans what they want.”

The show will air live at 2 a.m. ET and re-air in prime time at 7 p.m. ET. It will be available on DirecTV, Dish, AT & & U-vers, Comcast, Verizon Fios and all cable systems in the United States, and in Canada on Bell ExpressVu TV, rogers, Shaw, Sasktel and Telus. Check your local listings for availability. The show also will be available on the Flipps app on iTunes and Android.

Jeff Jarrett Crashes NJPW Press Conference, AJ Styles Loses IWGP Championship

Global Force Wrestling Founder & CEO Jeff Jarrett crashed New Japan Pro Wrestling press conference & says he is the Chairman of the Bullet Club.

Last night Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated AJ Styles for the IWGP championship. Tanahashi will defend his newly won title against Kazuchika Okada at the Wrestle Kingdom show on January 4th at the Tokyo Dome.

Update On Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling

PWInsider Elite says Jeff Jarrett is reportedly headed to scout potential buildings for TV tapings in Los Angeles, New York & Dallas in September. People close to Jarrett & Global Force Wrestlingsay negotiations are ongoing for a GFW TV deal but they’re moving slowly. GFW had hoped to already have a deal done but they have not. The whole process of launching GFW is going a lot slower than GFW officials have wanted.

Jeff Jarrett Joins Top Heel NJPW Stable

Jeff Jarrett appeared last night during New Japan Pro Wrestling’s G1 Climax Tournament finals to sign a partnership deal between NJPW & Global Force Wrestling. Jarrett met with NJPW chairman Naoki Sugabayashi & posed for photos earlier in the night. Later that night, Jarrett joined NJPW top heel stable, The Bullet Club. After AJ Styles was defeated by Hiroshiro Tanahashi in a great match, The Bullet Club attacked Tanahashi untli Jarrett came out & cleared the ring. Scott D’Amore then opened Jarrett’s guitar case & pulled out Jarrett’s guitar, which had Bullet Club written on it. Jarrett then hit Tanahashi over the head with his guitar & then posed with the rest of The Bullet Club to a chorus of boos.

TNA Concerned With GFW

There is said to be a definite concern within TNA over Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling. At Dixie Carter’s Nashville meetings with employees, she brought up how Jarrett was in New Orleans during WWE’s WrestleMania weekend & had people talking.

GFW is starting to get attention within TNA as a number of people who were highly regarded when they worked for TNA are now working with Jarrett. Among those working for Jarrett are NASCAR’s Hermie Sadler & Chris Thomas, who did what was considered amazing PR work for TNA.

NASCAR Star Hermie Sadler Working With Jeff Jarrett

Race car driver Hermie Sadler, who has done a lot of work in the past with TNA, has now hooked up with Jeff Jarrett’s Global force Wrestling. Sadler’s car at the Denny Hamlin Short track Showdown race on April 24th will have GFW logos on it.

Jarrett Allegedly In Physical Altercation At Indy Show

Dr. Jerry Wiseman of The Examiner reports that Jeff Jarrett was involved in a physical altercation with 17 year old John Calvin the son of IWA Mid-South promoter Ian Rotten. Jarrett was supposedly upset about not getting paid the money he was promised. Jarrett was apparently only given half of his pay at the show & was promised that he would receive the rest in 2 to 3 days. This led to Jarrett cussing out workers & either slapping Calvin’s glasses off his head or breaking them.

Later Ian Rotten said – “Jeff & Karen Jarrett were both intoxicated. I have a locker room full of people to back me up on that.”

Jeff Jarrett Announces His New Promotion Global Force Wrestling

Jeff Jarrett has announced his new wrestling promotion – Global Force Wrestling.

Jarrett issued a mission statement:

“WWE have built a brand over the last 50,60 years. And truly, WrestleMania weekend is the perfect example of just how global their brand is. Professional wrestling has been around since the advent of television, there is definitely room, space for a brand new promotion to come on to the scene. And we’re going to put out the very best product that we can. Our mission statement is going to be, right at the very top, that we are going to put out a professional wrestling product that listens to the fans, engages the fans. We are going to immerse out selves with the wrestling fan and that is going to be first and foremost.”

Jarrett also said – “What we’re going to deliver is a multi-platform, innovative brand that will engage fans in ways they’ve never experienced. It will provide a fresh perspective inside the business that fans have been clamoring for.”
