Chris Bey Walks to the Ring and Shares Emotional Message at Benefit Show Following Injury Recovery

TNA Wrestling star Chris Bey took center stage at FSW Mecca X in Las Vegas this past Sunday, delivering an emotional speech to the fans who supported him through his difficult recovery. The event, which aired on TrillerTV, served as a benefit show for Bey, who has been sidelined since October due to a serious neck injury.

A Night of Love and Gratitude

Accompanied by his girlfriend, Brittnie Brooks, Bey walked to the ring to a warm reception. Once inside, he embraced Karrion Kross and Hammerstone, who had just competed in the main event. He then called for his long-time tag team partner, Ace Austin, to join him in the ring before addressing the crowd.

In an emotional speech, Bey expressed his deep appreciation for the wrestling community, emphasizing the support he has received from fans, fellow wrestlers, and everyone behind the scenes.

“I’d be lying if I said I did it by myself because I truly and honestly believe that because of each and every one of you, and everybody in the back, that’s the reason why I’m standing here right now.”

Bey spoke about his lifelong love for wrestling, his gratitude for the opportunity to live his dream, and how much the overwhelming support has meant to him during this time.

“Love is a real thing, and all my life, all I’ve ever truly, truly, truly loved—until I met her [Brittnie]—was professional wrestling.”

The TNA star encouraged everyone in attendance to cherish the moment, embrace their emotions, and appreciate the significance of the night.

The Injury That Changed Everything

Bey’s injury occurred last October during a TNA Tag Team Title match against Matt and Jeff Hardy at an IMPACT taping in Detroit following Bound for Glory. A botched move resulted in a broken neck, forcing him to undergo surgery and take an indefinite hiatus from the ring.

While his in-ring return remains uncertain, Bey’s heartfelt words at FSW Mecca X made it clear that he hasn’t lost his passion for wrestling—or the fans who have stood by him. His speech was a powerful reminder of the bond between wrestlers and their supporters, proving that even in the toughest moments, the love for the business remains unshaken.

With an unforgettable night in the books, the question now remains: When will Chris Bey make his return to the ring?

Chris Bey Walks Again After Devastating Neck Injury: “Never Say Never”

In an inspiring update, Chris Bey has taken his first unaided steps after suffering a life-altering neck injury in October 2024. The former TNA World Tag Team Champion was left paralyzed following a freak in-ring accident, but thanks to unwavering determination and support from the wrestling community, he’s now defying the odds.

Bey shared the emotional moment on social media, posting a video to X (formerly Twitter) on his 29th birthday. The clip shows him rising from a seated position and walking forward without assistance—an incredible sight considering that just months ago, he had no use of his arms or legs.

Overwhelmed by Support

Bey expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of love and support he has received since the accident. “I’ve had an incredible support system,” he wrote, admitting he was “overwhelmed” by the encouragement from fans, friends, and colleagues.

The TNA star revealed that he was discharged from the hospital in December, marking a major milestone in his recovery. He specifically thanked TNA, his longtime tag team partner Ace Austin, and his girlfriend for being by his side throughout the grueling journey.

“Today you see me celebrating life and taking the steps they said would be unlikely,” Bey continued. “Will I ever wrestle again? Never say never. I’m just so grateful to be alive. I don’t know what my purpose is, but I know there’s something meant for me to do… This will be the Greatest Story Ever Told. I love you all.”

A Fighting Spirit

Bey’s remarkable progress has caught the attention of wrestling legends, including WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam, who recently hinted that Bey’s mobility was improving and expressed confidence that the former X Division Champion could one day return to the ring.

While Bey’s in-ring future remains uncertain, his resilience is undeniable. Whether or not he competes again, his story is already inspiring countless fans and wrestlers alike. One thing is certain—Chris Bey’s journey is far from over.

Chris Bey is currently recovering in hospital, having suffered a serious neck injury during TNA’s Sunday television taping, which required neck surgery. And now, with his medical bills increasing by the hour, a GoFundMe has been launched to help cover these costs, which Bey’s girlfriend Brittnie Brooks has confirmed is genuine.

As of writing, $37,698 has been raised toward the $45,000 goal with sizeable donations being made by names including Karrion Kross, Cody Rhodes, Nick Nemeth, Q. T. Marshall, Jinder Mahal, and Will Ospreay.

New Japan’s Jay White Officially Invites IMPACT Wrestling’s Chris Bey To Join Bullet Club

Former IMPACT X-Division Champion Chris Bey was officially inducted into Bullet Club by New Japan Pro Wrestling star Jay White.

Bullet Club leader Jay White officially inducted IMPACT Wrestling star Chris Bey into the group on this week’s edition of IMPACT! on AXS TV.

It all went down following Bey’s victory over Juice Robinson. After the bell, White came out to celebrate with Bey. White handed the American wrestler a Bullet Club t-shirt and threw up the Too Sweet gesture, which Bey was more than happy to reciprocate.

White is a former IWGP Heavyweight Champion who is currently under contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling. He walked through the proverbial forbidden door and made his IMPACT debut when he confronted Kenny Omega at the company’s Slammiversary pay-per-view on July 17.

On the July 22 post-Slammiversary edition of IMPACT’s weekly show, Jay White explained his presence in the promotion. The NEVER Openweight Champion said he was there for David Finlay, the man he will defend hit tile against at New Japan Pro-Wrestling Resurgence on August 14. Don Callis, The Good Brothers, and Kenny Omega confronted White and a war of words ensued. Gallows and Anderson demanded a “thank you” for building Bullet Club, but White refused. The two men attacked White, but Chris Bey made the save.

On last week’s edition of IMPACT’s weekly TV show, Bey and White teamed up to take on The Good Brothers. They came up short, but their alliance was far from finished, as the events of this week showed.

Chris Bey is a former X-Division Champion who debuted for IMPACT in November of 2018.

“I want to keep growing. I don’t think I’m the best in the world, but right now, I’m the best version of myself. I have the ability to be better tomorrow, and then better than that the day after. Over time, I want people to think of Chris Bey when they think of wrestling,” the 25-year-old told Sport Illustatrated’s Justin Barraso back in December of 2020.

Bey joins Bad Luck Fale, Chase Owens, Gedo, Hikuleo, KENTA, Taiji Ishimori, Dick Togo, El Phantasmo, EVIL, Yujir, and Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa)in Bullet Club.
