WWE star Erik of The Viking Raiders has revealed that he underwent neck fusion surgery after being sidelined with the injury in September of this year.
The former Raw Tag Team Champion disclosed on social media that he has had fusion surgery on his C6 and C7 cervical spine at St Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He thanked the doctors at the hospital and WWE for their support and care, and shared several photos in the post, including an X-ray of his injury, a photo with his wife and WWE star Valhalla, and a selfie.
“I cannot express the proper gratitude and thankfulness to the amazing Dr Cordover and his incredible staff at @andrews_sports_medicine and St Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, AL and to @wwe for always making sure I have the best care possible. C6 / C7 fusion surgery was successful and recovery begins
Erik last match was on the WWE Main Event show, where he teamed with his Viking Raiders partner, Ivar, to face the duo of Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. The Viking Raiders were originally scheduled to compete in a fatal four-way tag team match in September but were pulled from the match at the last moment., with commentator Michael Cole announcing that Erik was dealing with a foot injury. Since Erik’s injury, his tag team partner has wrestled as a singles competitor and has reportedly impressed WWE management.

It wasn’t even a month ago that Ronda Rousey hinted towards retiring from pro wrestling, something that seemed pretty apparent following a loss to Shayna Bazler at WWE SummerSlam, which all but ended her WWE career. But things have changed over the last few weeks, with Rousey working a Lucha VaVoom show on October 26, and accepting a booking on November 16 for Sami Callihan’s Wrestling Revolver promotion, which is running their event, UNREAL, in Los Angeles, California.
Appearing on “Busted Open Radio” on Wednesday, Callihan was asked about Rousey’s appearance, which will see her team with AEW star, and long-time friend, Marina Shafir. According to Callihan, Rousey’s appearance on the show almost happened by happenstance and was motivated by Rousey looking to do something for a good cause.
“I fell into that one,” Callihan said. “I’m not going to take credit for that, that it’s some mastermind plan that I went ‘You know what, this is going to be the thing. We’re going to run LA on only two and a half weeks’ notice.’ No, it’s something I fell into, because of my relationships with other people, and people putting myself over [to] Ronda. ‘This is a guy you want to work with. This is a guy we want to do this with.'”
“Ronda wanted to do this for charity. She wants to do something for the Hawaiian relief fun. Her husband is from Hawaii, and this is a charity she holds very near and dear to her heart. As soon as it was brought up to me, I was like, ‘Absolutely. That is something I want to be involved with because that money will actually go to help people.'”

AEW Dynamite will air live tonight on TBS for the first-time from the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
Becky Lynch has been having some trouble around WWE as of late. Just last week, she lost the “NXT” Women’s Championship to Lyra Vaklyria at Halloween Havoc and has since found herself embroiled in an issue with Xia Li. But perhaps behind the “Jeopardy” podium, her fortune will turn around as she faces some very fresh competition.
Lynch will be involved with the latest “Celebrity Jeopardy” tournament, per Headline Planet, with her first appearance on the legendary trivia game show set for Wednesday, November 15. She has drawn “Home Alone” star and long-time wrestling fan Macaulay Culkin as well as comedian Rachel Dratch as her fellow contestants — with 27 celebrities in total making up this year’s field. The winner of this quarterfinal showdown will move on to the tourney semi-finals.
This may be Lynch’s first time participating on “Celebrity Jeopardy,” but she is no stranger to game shows in her lifetime. She had previously appeared in the short-lived sports-based game show “Game On” in 2020, battling Joel McHale of “Community” fame in one of its episodes. She was also a part of a special WWE episode of “Celebrity Family Feud” earlier this year, where she, Bayley, Natalya, Liv Morgan, and Alexa Bliss battled Lynch’s husband Seth Rollins, The New Day, and former WWE star Dolph Ziggler.
The former WWE Women’s Champion’s appearance on “Celebrity Jeopardy” continues the trend of WWE stars frequenting the game show circuit, following The Miz and Brie Bella’s on “The Wheel” last December and Xavier Woods on “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.”
