Update On Darby Allin’s Injury Status After Being Pulled From the AEW Continental Classic

AEW’s Continental Classic has hit another early snag for the second straight year, and once again it involves a major name. Darby Allin was officially removed from the Gold League lineup on this past Saturday’s AEW Collision after his opening-round match with Kevin Knight left him hospitalized. In his place, AEW slotted in longtime rival — and former TNT and Tag Team Champion — Jack Perry, marking Perry’s first run in the tournament.

The move came just one day after Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Allin had suffered a head injury during the match with Knight, with concussion concerns being the likely culprit. Meltzer expanded on the situation during Wrestling Observer Radio, offering a bit more clarity while reviewing Allin’s Collision promo.

According to Meltzer, Allin was backstage at Collision and able to travel, which is at least a positive sign. However, Allin revealed in his promo that his “leg stopped working” during or after the match — despite Meltzer reiterating his belief the root of the issue is a head injury. Allin also admitted he was legitimately scared by what happened and required a hospital visit, something no wrestler — especially one known for death-defying bumps — takes lightly.

At this point, AEW has not provided a timetable for Allin’s return, leaving fans and officials in wait-and-see mode. Remarkably, this is only the second time in his six-year AEW run that Allin has been sidelined due to an in-ring injury, an impressive track record considering the physical risks he regularly takes. Earlier this year Allin missed seven months while training for — and ultimately climbing — Mount Everest, but otherwise he’s been one of AEW’s most durable performers.

With the Continental Classic rolling on and Jack Perry stepping into the Gold League, the big question now is simply when Darby Allin will be healthy enough to return — and how AEW plans to reinsert him into the mix once he’s cleared.

WWE NXT Deadl1ne 2025 Results

Oba Femi Regains the NXT Championship

“The Ruler” has reclaimed his throne. Oba Femi muscled his way back to the top of NXT by defeating Ricky Saints in a physical, momentum-swinging main event.

Saints tried throwing a little swagger at the champion early on, but Femi quickly turned the match into his kind of fight—using raw power to toss the challenger around the ring. Saints refused to stay down, landing a massive Spear and Stunner combo that nearly stole it. Later, Saints connected on back-to-back Tornado DDTs, including a nasty one onto the steel steps that briefly shifted the tide.

But Femi absorbed the punishment and pounced when Saints countered a Roshambo with Fall From Grace. The champion-in-waiting responded with his own pair of Fall From Grace finishers—the second a sit-out version—to secure the three-count and reclaim the NXT Title.

Kendal Grey Wins the 2025 Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge

EVOLVE Women’s Champion Kendal Grey shocked the NXT Universe by walking out of Deadline as the 2025 Women’s Iron Survivor.

Grey started the match against Kelani Jordan, scoring the first fall before Jordan immediately tied things up coming out of the penalty box. Jordynne Grace entered third and bulldozed her way into the chaos, but Lola Vice arrived moments later and quickly added her name to the scoreboard with a trademark spinning backfist.

Grey fought her way back into contention with a roll-up on Grace for her second fall. Sol Ruca entered next, only for Jordan to target her already banged-up knee and temporarily take her out. Ruca later returned with a vengeance, dropping consecutive Sol Snatchers for two quick points.

The closing stretch turned into complete madness. Grey hit Shades of Grey on Grace, but Jordan broke it up and snagged a fall of her own. Grace and Vice added points as well, creating a rare five-way tie heading into the final minutes.

Grey ultimately seized the moment, launching off the ropes with a flying Shades of Grey to secure the winning fall and cement herself as the 2025 Women’s Iron Survivor.

Ethan Page Retains the NXT North American Championship Against Mr. Iguana

AAA’s Mr. Iguana brought his signature personality—and La Yesca—to Deadline, but it wasn’t enough to dethrone NXT North American Champion Ethan Page.

Iguana played possum, danced around Page, and got the San Antonio crowd loudly behind him. But once Page lost patience with the antics, the mood shifted. The champ brutalized Iguana on the outside, drilling him into the steps and mocking La Yesca before spitting on it to the crowd’s disgust.

Iguana attempted a late rally, but Page shut the door with a decisive Twisted Grin, keeping the title firmly around his waist.

Izzi Dame Defeats Tatum Paxley

Izzi Dame picked up a major win by putting away former NXT Women’s Champion Tatum Paxley—though not without some drama.

Paxley, clearly emotional, seemed ready to reconcile with her former allies, but Dame wanted none of it. Instead, she tossed Paxley into the steel steps and followed up with heavy offense, including a punishing Big Boot while Paxley was tied up in the ropes.

Paxley managed to bait Dame on the outside and hit Cemetery Drive, but Shawn Spears jumped onto the apron and tore apart Paxley’s beloved doll, throwing her off her game. Paxley smacked Spears for the disrespect, but the distraction left her open to another Big Boot and Dame Over, giving Izzi the victory.

Je’Von Evans Wins the 2025 Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge

The Young OG delivered under pressure, winning the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge and staking his claim as NXT’s next major breakout star.

Evans kicked things off opposite his friend—and current TNA X-Division Champion—Leon Slater, scoring the first fall with a quick roll-up. Myles Borne entered next, followed by Dion Lennox, who capitalized on a counter by Borne to hit a Doomsday Device and get on the board.

Joe Hendry entered last and immediately changed the match’s pace, drilling Borne with a twisting DVD-style slam to tie things up.

The scoreboard shifted wildly from there. Slater picked up a fall thanks to Evans hitting a coast-to-coast on Hendry, while Borne and Lennox continued to trade shots. Hendry and Lennox even brawled inside the penalty box at one point.

In the closing seconds, Borne tried to steal a fall on Evans, but The Young OG reversed into a roll-up, scoring the decisive point just before time expired.

Post-match, newly crowned NXT Champion Oba Femi stepped onto the ramp—only for the lights to go out. When they came back on, Tony D’Angelo was in the ring, blindsiding Evans and sending a message loud and clear.

Dakota Kai (Now “Charlie”) vs. Kris Statlander Set for Pro-Wrestling: EVE’s Wrestle Queendom 8

Former WWE standout Dakota Kai is officially stepping back into the ring next year — and her return comes with a brand-new name and a huge championship opportunity.

Kai, released by WWE in May, has been announced for Pro-Wrestling: EVE’s biggest event of the year, Wrestle Queendom 8, taking place March 8, 2026, at the O2 in London. The news was revealed by Will Ospreay, who is currently part of EVE’s creative team.

Going forward, Kai will compete under the ring name Charlie, and her first assignment is massive: she’ll challenge Kris Statlander for the EVE International Championship. It will also mark the first-ever singles meeting between the two.

Despite plenty of chatter linking Kai to AEW after her release, the former two-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion hasn’t signed with or appeared for any promotion since leaving WWE. Her last non-WWE-affiliated match came all the way back in 2017 for PROGRESS.

Statlander, meanwhile, has been a busy dual champion. She captured the EVE International Title from Anita Vaughan in July and has already racked up two defenses — against Nina Samuels in September and in a four-way against Vaughan, Alex Windsor and Yuu in November. On top of her UK gold, Statlander also holds the AEW Women’s World Championship, making this showdown even more intriguing.

Wrestle Queendom 8 now has a marquee matchup locked in:
Charlie vs. Kris Statlander — first time ever — for the EVE International Championship.

TNA Final Resolution 2025 Results

TNA closed out the year with a stacked night of action mixing interpromotional warfare, emotional farewells, and plenty of championship drama. Here’s everything that went down at Final Resolution 2025.

Countdown to Final Resolution

Cedric Alexander Tops Eric Young in First-Time Clash

The pre-show opened with Cedric Alexander and Eric Young throwing down for the first time ever. Young’s flying elbow wasn’t enough to seal it, and Alexander answered with a crisp Brainbuster to score the win.

Winner: Cedric Alexander

Backstage, Gia Miller caught up with Leon Slater, who seemed confident ahead of his X-Division defense against A.J. Francis. His BDE allies backed him up with plenty of bravado.

The System Wins Tune-Up Six-Man Match

Moose, Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers issued an open challenge as they evaluate potential replacements for JDC, who retires next month.
C.W. Anderson tried to turn the tide by distracting Myers, giving Bear Bronson a brief power surge. But Moose and Edwards regrouped, and The System finished off Brock Anderson with their System Overload triple-team.

Winners: The System (Moose, Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers)

Final Resolution: Main Card

Mike Santana Scores Revenge on NXT’s Charlie Dempsey

Santana jumped Dempsey before the bell, fueled by pure payback. Despite Dempsey’s slick counters — including a nasty bridging German — Santana powered through, hit the Three Amigos in tribute to Eddie Guerrero, and sealed the win with Spin the Block.

Winner: Mike Santana

Kazarian, meanwhile, promised Gia Miller he would retain the TNA World Championship later in the night.

The IInspiration Retain After Against Victoria Crawford and Tessa Blanchard, Chaos From The Elegance Brand

Victoria Crawford and Tessa Blanchard, backed by NXT rep Robert Stone, challenged the Knockouts Tag Champs. Stone constantly meddled, and the challengers targeted Jessie’s knee. Once Cassie tagged in, the champs rallied — even as The Elegance Brand showed up to stir trouble. In the closing scramble, The IInspiration hit The IIdolizer on Crawford to hold onto the belts.

Winners & Still Champions: The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay)

Backstage, Santino Marella pressed NXT liaison Arianna Grace for answers in the ongoing “NXT Outlaw” investigation.

Matt Cardona Outlasts Mance Warner in a Wreckage-Filled Street Fight

Cardona and Warner’s bad blood boiled over immediately. Steph De Lander helped her man early with a trash can shot and later blinded Cardona with mystery spray, but chaos went both ways — Warner suplexed him on the steel ramp and hit a DDT through a door.

Cardona swung momentum back with an Unpretty-her into a chair and even dropped Warner onto a pile of his own action figures. After Warner whiffed on a screwdriver attack, Cardona blasted him with Radio Silence through another door to end it.

Winner: Matt Cardona

Stacks Steals the TNA International Title With Lexis King’s Help

Steve Maclin defended against NXT’s Stacks, with Lexis King on the outside looking to tip the scales. King interfered repeatedly, only for Maclin to knock him around and hit a SCUD to wipe out both men.

Stacks survived a Jar-headbutt, then used the ref being out of position to whack Maclin with King’s cane. That opened the door for a shocking upset.

Winner & NEW International Champion: Stacks (with Lexis King)

Léi Yǐng Lee Retains in All-Angel Warriors Clash With Xia Brookside

The Knockouts World Title match turned into a fast, fluid chess match between friends. Brookside connected with a tornado DDT and nearly tapped the champ with an Octopus hold. Lee answered with a huge superplex, then finished with a spinning heel kick into the swinging facebuster.

Winner & Still Champion: Léi Yǐng Lee

Lee and Brookside embraced afterward — until Dani Luna blindsided both. Indi Hartwell hit the ring to even the odds as security swarmed.

The Rascalz Win Faction Warfare Against Order 4

The Rascalz (Reed, Wentz, Miguel & Xavier) tore into Order 4 in an eight-man brawl full of wild spots and cinematic insanity. Mustafa Ali bailed on his crew mid-match — helped by the fact Elijah literally dragged him out of the arena tied to a horse.

With the numbers advantage, the Rascalz unleashed their trademark rapid-fire offense and pinned John Skyler after a barrage of aerial attacks.

Winners: The Rascalz

The Hardys Retain Against NXT’s Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe , The Righteous Confront The Hardys

Jeff and Matt Hardy defended the TNA Tag Titles against NXT’s Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe. The challengers jumped them before the bell, but once Jeff created space, Matt fired off Side Effects on both opponents. A late splash from Tyson nearly stole it, but Jeff sealed the deal with the Swanton Bomb.

Winners & Still Champions: The Hardys

The celebration didn’t last — the lights went out, and The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch) appeared to stare the champions down.

Eric Young, still seething from earlier, vowed to purge TNA of “disease.”

Leon Slater Retains the X-Division Title After Swann Turns on Francis

A.J. Francis used his size early to flatten Slater, even cracking him mid-handspring. Slater fought back with a Blue Thunder Bomb and his signature Big Play dive over the ring post — this time filming it with a GoPro.

Francis kept trying to use weapons, but BDE ran interference. In a twist, Rich Swann refused to join Francis’ cheating and instead clocked him with the X-Division Title. Slater seized the moment and hit the beautiful Swanton 450 to keep the belt.

Winner & Still X-Division Champion: Leon Slater

A Dog Collar match between Dani Luna and Indi Hartwell was later set for Thursday’s iMPACT!

Frankie Kazarian Makes JDC Pass Out to Retain the World Title

In what may be JDC’s last world title shot before retirement, the veteran pushed Kazarian to the brink. JDC rattled the champ with a dive to the floor and nearly ended it with the Air Raid Crash — but the referee had just been knocked out.

Kazarian survived a furious comeback and landed his slingshot leg drop, but even that wasn’t enough. He finally trapped JDC in the Chicken Wing, forcing him to pass out.

Winner & Still TNA World Champion: Frankie Kazarian

Post-match, all hell broke loose. The NXT outlaws stormed the ring to attack The System. Lexis King tried to burn the TNA logo before Steve Maclin, Mike Santana and The Hardys ran in to stop the arson attempt. Amid the chaos, Stacks stunned everyone by knocking out his own father-in-law, Santino Marella.

ROH Final Battle 2025 Results

Ring of Honor closed out the year with a marathon night of action at GalaxyCon, capped off with new champions, brutal battles, surprise alliances, and Jon Moxley causing chaos in his home state of Ohio. Here’s everything that went down at ROH Final Battle 2025.

Zero Hour Results

  • The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) knocked off Premier Athletes (Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari w/ Stori Denali).
  • Leila Grey of SkyFlight picked up an early win over Zayda Steel.
  • Ace Austin (Bang Bang Gang) defeated “Big Shotty” Lee Johnson.
  • The Death Riders duo of Wheeler Yuta & Daniel Garcia beat the Grizzled Young Veterans, with Jon Moxley on commentary to cheer on his crew.

ROH Final Battle Main Card

Deonna Purrazzo Crowned First-Ever ROH Women’s Pure Champion

Deonna Purrazzo and Billie Starkz tore the house down in the Women’s Pure Championship Tournament Final. With the new title displayed at the top of the stage, both women opened with a handshake—one that lasted about three seconds before the rules-heavy drama kicked in.

Purrazzo aggressively hunted for arm submissions, burning one of Starkz’s rope breaks within seconds. Starkz fired back with her trademark attitude, even spitting at Purrazzo’s feet before brawling her around ringside. The match became a showcase of Pure Rules strategy: rope breaks burned quickly, technical counters chained together, and submissions used as traps rather than finishers.

Starkz came close after a top-rope swanton and a modified choke that forced Purrazzo to use her first-ever Pure Rules rope break. But Purrazzo’s experience prevailed: a Gotch-style piledriver, another deep submission, and finally the Venus de Milo locked in tight. With Starkz out of rope breaks, she had no escape.

Winner: Deonna Purrazzo – inaugural ROH Women’s Pure Champion.
Post-match, Queen Aminata confronted the new champ, signaling the next big test.

30-Minute Iron Man Match – Lee Moriarty Retains, Beats Nigel McGuinness in Sudden Death

Nigel McGuinness walked to the ring wearing one of his classic Pure Title belts, aiming to compare his legacy with the division’s current standard bearer. What followed was a Pure wrestling clinic that saw both men trade technical mastery, rope breaks, finger stomps, and plenty of Nigel’s trademark villainy.

Moriarty went up 2–0 early, forcing McGuinness to tap twice to avoid deeper damage. The veteran rallied back with the London Dungeon, narrowing the score to 3–1 before tightening his grip on Moriarty’s injured arm.

With seconds left, Shane Taylor’s ringside presence caused chaos, helping McGuinness tie the match 4–4 in the final moments. The referee ruled the bout a draw—but Moriarty refused the stalemate and demanded sudden death.

In overtime, both men traded rapid-fire pin attempts until Moriarty bridged backward into a tight fold-over pin, securing the win.

Winner: Lee Moriarty (5–4 in Sudden Death) – still ROH Pure Champion.
McGuinness placed his old belt on Moriarty’s shoulder afterward in a moment of respect—much to Shane Taylor’s irritation.

Jon Moxley Calls Out Konosuke Takeshita

Moxley hopped off commentary, grabbed a mic, and ripped into the Don Callis Family for their ego and “entitlement.” He challenged Takeshita to face him in the Continental Classic Blue League tomorrow night on Collision — promising to baptize Takeshita in Ohio “tap water toughness.”

Red Velvet Stuns Mercedes Moné – New ROH Women’s World TV Champion

The self-proclaimed “13 Belts Moné” entered surrounded by her belt carriers — but she left with one fewer championship after a shocker.

Velvet and Moné sprinted through roll-ups and counters early on, with the challenger nearly stealing the win when Moné tried to use her title as a weapon. The two traded high-impact offense, including a huge top-rope Code Red from Velvet and multiple Moné Makers from the champ.

In the end, Moné locked in the Statement Maker, but Velvet reversed and cradled her for the upset three-count.

Winner: Red Velvet – NEW ROH Women’s World TV Champion.
Mercedes was devastated, dropping back down to “12 Belts Moné.”

LFI Retain ROH Tag Titles With Help From the Don Callis Family

Sammy Guevara and The Beast Mortos challenged Tommy Billington and Adam Priest in a fast-paced bout defined by LFI’s arrogance and athletic dominance. Billington and Priest fought back hard with crisp double-teams and a big double dive to the floor.

But the match swung when Hechicero — yes, the same Hechicero involved in the main event later — appeared to strike Priest. A low blow from Guevara set up Mortos’ corkscrew moonsault for the pin.

Winners: LFI (Guevara & Mortos)
The Callis Family’s shadow loomed over this one.

Eddie Kingston Defeats Josh Woods

A hard-hitting showcase before Eddie’s AEW World Title match with Samoa Joe. Woods pushed Kingston to the brink with suplexes, submissions, and corner attacks, but Eddie powered back with machine-gun chops and an Exploder before finishing Woods with a DDT.

Winner: Eddie Kingston.

Shane Taylor Promotions Retain the ROH Six-Man Tag Titles

STP (Taylor, Dean & Bravo) and SkyFlight (Scorpio Sky & the Martins) produced a chaotic six-man brawl with interference from Trish Adora, Anthony Ogogo, Christopher Daniels, and Leila Grey.

SkyFlight’s speed nearly stole the match multiple times, but Taylor decked Dante on the apron, allowing Dean to roll him up for the win.

Winners: Shane Taylor Promotions – still Six-Man Tag Team Champions.

AEW National Championship – Ricochet Survives Dalton Castle

Dalton Castle brought his full theatrical flair — The Boys, conga line, suplexes galore — but Ricochet’s speed and creativity proved too much. Castle hit a nasty apron suplex and even landed Bang-a-Rang, but Ricochet kept kicking out.

In the closing moments, Ricochet used one of The Boys as a distraction and struck Castle with the Spirit Gun to retain.

Winner: Ricochet – still AEW National Champion.

Survival of the Fittest – Bandido Retains in a Wild Six-Man War

Bandido defended his ROH World Title against Blake Christian, Sammy Guevara, Hechicero, Komander, and The Beast Mortos in a match filled with alliances, betrayals, and wild lucha offense.

  • Guevara was eliminated first by Komander.
  • Mortos followed after a Hechicero pin.
  • Komander fell to Christian’s Lethal Injection.
  • Christian was then eliminated by Bandido — but not before he damaged the champion’s recently injured shoulder.

The final stretch saw Bandido battling through pain against the surgically precise Hechicero. After surviving vicious knee strikes and apron punishment, Bandido countered into a poisonrana and rolled Hechicero up to retain.

Winner: Bandido – still ROH World Champion.
Brody King and Komander celebrated with the champ afterward.

Meanwhile, backstage, Mercedes Moné was still fuming over her earlier loss — and her frustration turned into a confirmed match against Leila Grey tomorrow on Collision.

ROH Women’s World Championship – Athena Retains Against Persephone

Athena continued her dominant reign against a physically imposing challenger in Persephone. The Forever Champion took heavy punishment on the outside, survived a crucifix powerbomb scare, and traded high-impact counters down the stretch.

Persephone’s strength nearly overwhelmed the champ, but Athena weathered the storm and sealed the win with the O-Face off the top rope.

Winner: Athena – still ROH Women’s World Champion.

TNA Reportedly Wants AJ Styles To Wrestle On AMC Debut Episode Of “Thursday Night iMPACT”

TNA is gearing up for a massive relaunch in 2026, and the company is apparently shooting big when it comes to star power. With the promotion’s new multi-year media rights deal officially locked in, iMPACT is set to make its AMC debut on January 15, 2026, airing live from the Curtis Caldwell Center in Garland, Texas. And according to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, TNA is hoping to bring back one of its most iconic names for the premiere: AJ Styles.

Per Dave Meltzer, a WWE source says TNA has reached out with interest in having Styles actually wrestle on the debut episode. The idea is simple—kick off the AMC era with a major ratings splash by featuring the man many still associate with the company’s glory years. Styles himself recently said he’d love to wrestle in TNA one more time before wrapping up his in-ring career, and January would mark his first match for the promotion since 2013.

WWE did allow “The Phenomenal One” to make a cameo at TNA Slammiversary back in July, appearing in a non-wrestling role. Letting him work an actual match is, of course, a different conversation entirely—but not outside the realm of possibility given WWE’s slightly more flexible approach to cross-promotional moments in recent years.

If the match does happen, Meltzer notes a likely opponent: Frankie Kazarian. The reigning TNA World Champion has a long, shared history with Styles dating back to the 2000s, and the two have locked up many times over the years. A Styles vs. Kazarian showdown on AMC’s debut night would be a fitting callback for longtime fans while spotlighting today’s TNA main event scene.

Along with the network move, TNA is giving its flagship a refreshed identity. The show will officially be known as Thursday Night iMPACT, maintaining its two-hour timeslot from 9–11 p.m. ET and streaming concurrently on AMC+.

Whether AJ Styles steps back into a TNA ring remains to be seen—but if TNA gets its wish, their AMC premiere could instantly become one of 2026’s most talked-about wrestling nights.
