David Arquette Makes In-Ring Return At Los Angeles Wrestling Event (VIDEO)

david arquette in ring return cwfh video

Former WCW champ David Arquette‘s recent claim that he’s returning to wrestling seems to be legit, as the actor interfered at a wrestling show on Thursday night.

It all went down at Championship Wrestling From Hollywood‘s “Peter & Ray’s Surprise Birthday Party Spectacular” when Arquette was urged by Peter Avalon and Ray Rosas to enter the ring and hit The Rockness Monsters with Stinger Splashes in the corner.

As you’ll see in the video … Yuma and Kevin Martenson attempted to get their revenge by dragging David back into the ring. The 46-year-old Ready to Rumble star reversed an irish whip attempt, however, then hit them with a double stunner to get a HUGE pop from the fans in attendance.

In case you missed it, David announced his return to wrestling on the Wendy Williams Show.

Watch Arquette’s in-ring comeback below.

Rosa Mendes Wants To “Dominate” Indie Wrestling, Then Return To WWE For HOF-Worthy Run

rosa mendes wwe return hall of fame dominate indie wrestling interview

It may sound crazy, but Rosa Mendes says she’s planning to “dominate” the independent wrestling scene in an effort to impress WWE officials and one day return for a Hall of Fame worthy run.

Mendes co-hosted this week’s episode of Women’s Pro Wrestling Weekly and said:

I feel like this is my business plan; I want to conquer the independents. I want to dominate in the independents and be super over and have incredible 30-40 minute matches in the independents and show people that I am a great worker and a great performer. As soon as I can say that about myself then I am going to talk to them [WWE]. They may talk to me before then, but I really want to establish myself in the independents before I even step foot in a WWE door again.”

As you may recall, Rosa retired from wrestling in February 2017. The 38-year-old mother made her return, however, at an independent wrestling event last month in Maryland.

The former Total Divas star was asked by WPW about the idea of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame one day, an odd question considering her run, and Mendes replied:

This is the thing, right now, Rosa Mendes would never be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. I feel because of who I was and because of my character and being a Manager. I know some Managers have, but if you look back, my best time as a Manager was with Primo & Epico, and I did a lot in those matches. They got the tag team titles but I just feel like I don’t think it would happen, and I don’t think I would deserve it. I feel like once I go back I want to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. I want to make history and I want people to respect my work in the ring.

CM Punk Not Completely Closing Door On Pro Wrestling Return, Reveals His UFC 225 Entrance Song

CM Punk spoke to MMAFighting.com ahead of UFC 225 this Saturday in Chicago. Punk, who will be facing fellow 0-1 fighter Mike Jackson on the main card of the event, admitted that he’s not sure what the crowd response for him will be, although he doesn’t expect it to be like his past WWE matches in the city. He also revealed that he will come out to the fight to Living Colour’s Cult Of Personality, which he used during his WWE and ROH runs.

Punk also talked about “All In” in September and noted that he will not be a part of the event, saying that “it’s not happening.” Punk also noted that he wasn’t directly asked to be a part of the event, or any pro wrestling show.

“Nobody has ever asked me, like straight up asked me, to come wrestle for them. Nobody.” Punk added, “[People have said] hey, if you ever wanna do anything… Nobody’s ever been like, ‘hey, here’s the deal, we’re having a show, we’re paying you X amount and you’re working this guy. Whaddaya say, yes or no?’ Nobody’s ever done that.”

Punk also stated that he doesn’t think that he would accept a real offer to return to pro wrestling, although he wasn’t completely closing the door on it.

“I don’t think so, it’s a hard question to answer, a lot’s happened this week,” Punk said. “I could definitely tell you if you asked me that question a week ago when I still felt like I had a foot in the grave, the answer [would have been] no, I don’t want anything to do with it. I feel like I’m out and the future is yet to be written, it’s a wide open book, it’s my story to tell. I’m just being real, I’m not going to sit here and be like, ‘No! No!’ Something might come up, some fun might be had.

“Right now my heart and my mind and my focus is 100% on Saturday and fighting. So does that mean fighting beyond Saturday? To me that means yes.”

Punk also discussed fighting in the UFC again, how this fight is different from his UFC debut, not knowing if he will fight again after Saturday and more. You can watch the whole interview at this link. We will have live round-by-round coverage of UFC 225 this Saturday, followed by a special Saturday night edition of the Wrestling Inc. podcast with Matt Morgan, Chris Featherstone and myself discussing Punk’s UFC return, NJPW Dominion and more.
