Reports Of Brickhouse Brown’s Passing Were Incorrect

As noted, former WWE Superstar and current President of the Cauliflower Alley Club, B. Brian Blair, originally reported that Brickhouse Brown had passed away from his battle with cancer.

Blair noted on Twitter that he was informed that Brown was indeed still alive and would provide more details on his Facebook page.

Here is Blair’s statement from his Facebook:

“Hello my friends!Brick was dead but n’w he’s alive! Let me explain:

Got a call from Reggie B. Fine (one of Brick’s best friends) yesterday morning when he told me that Brick’s Biological Mother, Victoria Timmons, called him in tears and said “We just lost Fredrick” (Fredrick Seawright is Brick’s real name), then she asked Reggie to call me, KoKo B Ware and a couple others…about an hour later Ms. Timmons called me to say that she appreciated everything that Ya’ll (being the CAC) did for Brick and was crying…neither on of us could speak very much so we ended the call, both very upset.

I get a call last night from Victoria (Ms. Timmons) and she said that Brick was alive…I said WHAT? She then told me that when Brick’s eye’s were rolled back in his head with his mouth open and was lifeless…the Preacher came in (Hospice facility) and that they prayed…and she refused to leave until the Coroner got there and was done…about 30 minutes later she was sitting next to him with her eyes closed…exhausted after being up most of the past three days…and all of the sudden she heard “Mama, I’m Hungry”…her and the Hospice lady could not believe it and they hurried up and got him some chipped ice, as he had not eaten for almost 3 days…they wound up giving him some liquid food…she said that was the most he had eaten in almost two weeks at one time, although it took about 30 minutes for him to eat and be full…She said it is a “Miracle from God” and I believe her.

Got a call from Reggie B. fine early this morning to tell me the same story…this is amazing and as accurate as the words that I just said…don’t know what will happen from here as it is in God’s hands, but it’s nothing short of a miracle, as far as I am concerned…so happy that I may be able to see him this Wednesday on the way to Iowa…changing my ticket back again to go through Jackson, MS.

On my way to meet some people, but will see your responses when I get back tonight.

Thank you all and God Bless,

Brian”

Austin Aries Has Advice For WWE Talent Feeling Underutilized

Related image

Austin Aries is set to defend his title at Slammiversary on this Sunday. Aries will put his Impact World Championship on the line against Moose in front of a sold-out Toronto crowd.

Aries was released from WWE in 2017 after a year-and-a-half with the company. He never picked up a title in WWE, but that soon changed when he hit the independent wrestling scene.

The Belt Collector took part in a media call today where I had the chance to ask about other WWE Superstars who might not be happy and ready to strike out on their own. Aries said at this point there is such a vibrant array of options that it gives someone a world of possibilities outside of Vince McMahon and Company.

“I mean listen, if there’s a number of men and women over there who feel they’re in a position where they’re spinning their wheels,” Aries said. “Or maybe not getting the opportunities they feel they earned that are immensely talented. I’m not gonna name names but I think anyone in that position who wants to better themselves, I think Impact Wrestling provides a platform at least that’s not gonna tie you down and lock you in and give you the opportunities to actually go and prove that.”

While Aries declined providing specifics, he noted that talent have other options if they feel that they’re not being utilized properly.

“They go and do that also independently across the world. So you know it’s a unique opportunity. Listen, there’s a lot — they have a huge roster and there’s a lot of talent on there. There’s only so many spots and so many hours of television. So you know I’m sure there are people who feel like they’re getting left out or they’re not getting the shots that they want, and if they find themselves free and clear, it’s cool. There’s a nice vibrate professional landscape right now for people to go out and apply their craft.”

Jose Canseco Signs Pro Wrestling Contract

Former Major League Baseball star Jose Canseco is choosing to pursue a career in professional wrestling. Canseco, 54, has signed a contract with the World Class Revolution promotion, based in Ardmore, Oklahoma. The company was formerly the Imperial Wrestling Revolution when it was founded by Jerry Bostic, before changing its name to World Class Revolution later that year.

“We couldn’t be happier to welcome Jose into our family that represents equality, diversity, family, and love,” Bostic wrote on Facebook. “Jose is without a doubt one of the greatest athletes professional baseball has ever seen being the first ever 40 home run/40 stolen base athlete in history. He was AL MVP, 6-time All Star, 2-time World Series Champion, and hit an amazing 462 home runs in his career.

“Professional wrestling and our other avenues of business have enabled us to start becoming a multimedia company which has always been our goal. We’re starting to effectively combine pop culture with our wrestling product and we’re seeing great results thus far and we’re just getting started. I would like to personally thank both Jose and his agent Morgan for this opportunity to do business together.”

Canseco played in the MLB from 1985-2001, which most of his time was spent with the Oakland A’s. In 2005, Canseco revealed that he used performance enhancing drugs while playing for the MLB, and that 85% of players used them as well. Following this admission, Canseco wrote a series of books and conducted several interviews on the matter. Canseco has spent most of his career post-2005 playing for independent baseball promotions. He also took a chance at MMA in 2009, but it was a losing effort.

Currently, World Class Revolution features several former WWE talent, including Jim Ross, Rey Mysterio, MVP, Scott Steiner, Ryback, Tatanka, Jack Swagger, Chavo Guerrero, John Morrison, Billy Gunn, Carlito, Alberto El Patron, among others. The WCR Champion is MVP, and the tag team champions are Marshall and Ross Von Erich, sons of legendary World Class Championship Wrestling star Kevin Von Erich.

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Masa Saito passed away at the age of 76 on Saturday. Saito passed away due to complications from Parkinson’s Disease.

Below is WWE’s announcement on Saito passing along with some videos from his career:

Masa Saito passes awayWWE is saddened to learn that Masa Saito, a former World Tag Team Champion and AWA Champion, passed away on Saturday at the age of 76.

Saito’s career in grappling began in freestyle amateur wrestling, and he represented his home country of Japan in the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Turning pro in 1965, he utilized a punishing style in the ring that made him a feared competitor in both Japan and the U.S. Saito spent time competing in California, Florida and Alabama, racking up championships before heading to WWE in 1981.

Upon his arrival, Saito joined forces with Mr. Fuji, and under the tutelage of Captain Lou Albano, the two captured the World Tag Team Championship on two separate occasions. Saito later joined Verne Gagne’s AWA, where he defeated Larry Zbyszko to become AWA World Champion in his home country at the Tokyo Dome.

Saito continued to compete, mainly in Japan, with several appearances for WCW, before retiring in 1999.

WWE extends its condolences to Saito’s family, friends and fans.

David Arquette Defeated In Return To The Ring

Former WCW champ David Arquette made his return to the ring on Sunday in Southern California, but the actor was unable to pick-up a win against RJ City.

It all went down at a CWFH TV taping in Port Hueneme after RJ kicked things off by insulting the actor’s friends and family. “King” David Arquette then walked to the ring and the match began.

If you thought David was going to phone it in, you were wrong.

Arquette was on fire in the opening moments and hit his opponent with a vintage Diamond Cutter. He also locked in a Sharpshooter-esque submission and an outside dive from the top rope.

The match ended, however, when David jumped from the top rope and got hit with a knee to the face.

The full match will soon be available on Fite.

Geoffrey the Giraffe from Toys-R-Us entered a 30-man rumble to determine the new  FSCW #1 contender at Supercon in Florida on Friday

The match featured heroes and villains from across the spectrum, but the most surprising entry was free agent Geoffrey … who entered the rumble to hit a clothesline and chokeslam on two wrestlers.

Unfortunately for the ex-spokesman, former WWE star Gangrel was still in the match and picked up a phone to order a package. The package was then delivered ringside in an Amazon box and Gangrel yelled “Amazon Prime, bitch” before using it to eliminate Geoffrey from the match.
