TNA Wrestling is undergoing yet another major transformation, with multiple high-profile executives—including TNA Hall of Famer Gail Kim—officially exiting the company. This wave of departures follows the 2024 exit of former company president Scott D’Amore and comes at a time when TNA is actively working with WWE in a cross-promotional partnership.

According to Fightful Select and PWInsider, Kim, who played a crucial role in TNA’s talent relations and worked as a producer, is stepping away from the company. Her departure leaves veteran wrestler and Busted Open Radio host Tommy Dreamer in charge of TNA’s talent relations department.

In addition to Kim, longtime Executive Producer Ariel Shnerer—who was instrumental in TNA’s creative direction—is also leaving. Taking over TNA’s creative responsibilities will be Hunter “Delirious” Johnson, a familiar name in wrestling who previously served as the head booker for Ring of Honor before ROH was sold to Tony Khan in 2022.

The departures don’t stop there. Chief Revenue Officer Rob Klingman, along with Michael Shewchenko, Karen Clevett, Romy Glazer, Sebastian Dastrani, and live event coordinator Rafael Morfi, have all left TNA as well.

  • Rosemary kept her response short but impactful, replying with an angry emoji—a sentiment many fans echoed.
  • Tasha Steelz also expressed her frustration, with her post amassing over 27,000 views. One fan even suggested that WWE’s NXT talent appearing on TNA programming was a sign that “WWE stars are replacing TNA’s Knockouts.”

TNA’s WWE Partnership: A Factor in the Changes?

This executive shake-up comes just two months after TNA and WWE announced a multi-year working relationship. The reaction to Kim’s departure is said to be even more negative than it was for D’Amore’s, which was already overwhelmingly unpopular in the locker room.

Kim reportedly has no intention of leaving the world of wrestling behind, and there are already people within both WWE and AEW pushing for her to be brought in. In addition to her in-ring history with the company, Kim had long-standing backstage roles in TNA as a producer and in talent relations, and there is no non-compete clause in place to prevent her from showing up elsewhere.

The report stated that Kim was known for pushing back on higher-ups in TNA parent company Anthem, which likely contributed to the company’s decision to let her go. However, talent within the company viewed this trait as a positive, as they believed Kim was fighting to improve the promotion.

The lucha action kicked off with First Class securing a controversial win. KC Navarro faked a knee injury, distracting Laredo Kid long enough for Francis to chokeslam Octagon Jr. Navarro then twisted Laredo’s mask, impairing his vision before delivering a Sliced Bread finisher for the pin.

TNA Sacrifice 2024 Results

Mance Warner def. Sami Callihan (Street Fight)

The show opened in complete chaos as Callihan and Warner brawled backstage before spilling into the ring. With no choice, TNA officials called for the bell. The carnage escalated quickly—Callihan powerbombed Warner through a table, both men exchanged staple gun shots, and at one point, Callihan even stapled Warner’s tongue to the turnbuckle. As Callihan prepared to stab Warner with a screwdriver, Steph De Lander intervened, blinding Callihan with powder. Warner capitalized, delivering a running knee strike for the win.

Tessa Blanchard def. Lei Ying Lee

Lei Ying Lee (formerly known as Xia Li) put on an impressive showing, delivering a spinning torture rack slam and an avalanche twisting brainbuster. However, Blanchard proved resilient, surviving the onslaught before raking Lee’s eyes and hitting a cutter. The Magnum flying double knee facebreaker sealed the victory.

The Rascalz (Trey Miguel, Zachary Wentz & Ace Austin) def. Wes Lee, Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe

With lucha rules in effect, this match was an all-out sprint. In the closing moments, Ace Austin and Trey Miguel hit The Fold-Lightning Spiral combo on Wes Lee before taking out his teammates with suicide dives. This left Wentz free to deliver a spiral dive and score the emotional win for The Rascalz.

Steve Maclin def. Frankie Kazarian

With Eric Young watching from commentary, Kazarian nearly secured the victory by locking in the chickenwing submission. However, Maclin managed to tumble through the ropes to the floor, forcing a break. As the referee checked on Maclin, Kazarian tried to use brass knuckles, but Young intervened—stealing the weapon and decking Kazarian himself. Unaware of Young’s interference, Maclin hit the KIA DDT to pick up the win.

Knockouts Tag Team Championship: Ash & Heather by Elegance def. Dani Luna & Jody Threat (c)

This 3-on-2 handicap match, originally intended to favor the champions, backfired in a major way. Despite a fiery comeback from Jody Threat, the numbers advantage proved too much. The Personal Concierge disrupted Threat’s momentum, leading to a double-team attack from Elegance. A submission hold from Ash, followed by a flying stomp from Heather, secured the win and the Knockouts Tag Titles. Their celebration was interrupted by Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend from NXT, signaling their interest in the gold.

Mustafa Ali def. Mike Santana

Santana looked poised for victory after landing a cutter and a frog splash. However, interference from The Great Hands and a slap from Tasha Steelz allowed Ali to steal the win with a roll-up while using the ropes for leverage. After the match, Ali mockingly offered Santana a beer, adding insult to injury.

Knockouts Championship: Masha Slamovich (c) def. Cora Jade

Cora Jade, representing NXT, put up a strong fight, hitting a destroyer on the apron and following up with her Jaded DDT finisher. Slamovich narrowly escaped by getting a foot on the ropes. The match turned into a striking battle, but Jade ran straight into a spinning heel kick, allowing Slamovich to follow up with a piledriver for the win.

X-Division Championship: Moose (c) def. Jeff Hardy (Ladder Match)

Hardy came close to victory after putting Moose through a table with a Swanton Bomb. However, Alisha Edwards interfered with a kendo stick, leading Hardy to take her out with a Twist of Fate. This distraction gave Moose the opening he needed—delivering a devastating spear through a table before climbing the ladder to retain his title.

Afterward, Mike Santana demanded a rematch against Mustafa Ali from TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella. Marella agreed, banning Ali’s Cabinet from ringside for their next showdown on Impact.

10-Man Steel Cage Match: Joe Hendry, Matt Hardy, Elijah, Leon Slater & Nic Nemeth def. Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, Johnny Dango, Eddie & Orlando Colon

The chaotic main event saw team members enter the cage at timed intervals until all 10 men were involved. Joe Hendry made an immediate impact as the last entrant, throwing fallaway slams left and right. The highlight of the match belonged to Leon Slater, who hit an insane 450 Swanton from the top of the cage onto a pile of bodies. In the end, the babyfaces picked off The System one by one, with Matt Hardy sealing the win after delivering a Twist of Fate to Johnny Dango, who had a chair wrapped around his neck.

Nic Nemeth Turns on Matt Hardy

Just when it seemed the show was over, Nic and Matt Hardy remained in the cage to celebrate. Suddenly, Ryan Nemeth appeared, locking the cage door from the outside. In a shocking betrayal, Nic laid out Hardy with his Danger Zone finisher, while Ryan kept the rest of the babyfaces from saving him. It seems the Nemeth brothers felt disrespected, and Nic has officially turned to the dark side.

Alexander Hammerstone Confirms TNA Departure, Now a Free Agent

Alexander Hammerstone is officially back on the free-agent market. The powerhouse wrestler, known as “Muscle Mountain,” announced that he is no longer under contract with TNA Wrestling, bringing an abrupt end to his short-lived run with the promotion.

Hammerstone’s final TNA match aired on this week’s episode of iMPACT! on AXS TV, where he challenged Joe Hendry for the TNA World Championship. Despite putting up a strong fight, Hammerstone ultimately fell short, with Hendry securing the win after delivering his Standing Ovation finisher. The match took place after Hammerstone had already revealed his departure, making it a symbolic send-off for his time in TNA.

Hammerstone’s TNA Run: A Promising Start That Never Took Off

Hammerstone arrived in TNA at the start of 2024 with plenty of hype, having built a strong reputation as a former MLW World Heavyweight Champion. His first major feud in the company was a hard-hitting trilogy against Josh Alexander, but after losing the decisive rubber match, his momentum stalled. He was never quite able to regain his footing in TNA’s competitive landscape.

Complicating matters was Hammerstone’s absence from television, which led to speculation about his durability. However, the powerhouse recently released a video addressing those concerns, revealing that his absence was due to a misdiagnosis by a local state commission doctor. Initially told he had a heart condition, Hammerstone later discovered that he had actually been dealing with pneumonia. The process of clearing his name and proving his fitness to compete reportedly cost him around $20,000 in medical tests.

Despite this ordeal, Hammerstone continued wrestling on the independent scene. The only legitimate injury he suffered during his TNA tenure was a knee injury, which required surgery on December 23. Remarkably, he returned to action just two months later in February.

What’s Next for Hammerstone?

With his TNA run now behind him, Hammerstone is a free agent once again. Given his blend of power, agility, and charisma, there’s no doubt that he will have plenty of options. Could WWE or AEW come calling? Or will he continue making waves on the independent circuit before finding his next long-term home?
