Fan Recalls Strange Incident At ROH Event Involving Bully Ray, ROH Issues Statement

A fan recounted a bizarre experience at an ROH event this past weekend, which has been trending online.

According to the fan, he was booing Allure (Velvet Sky, Angelina Love and Mandy Leon) and exchanging words with the group. At one point the fan said that he was having words with Velvet Sky, and Mandy Leon allegedly spit on him.

“Velvet and I exchange words along with the rest of the Allure. Nothing crazy. Mandy Leon spits on me from the side. Not preferable but I honestly don’t care. Segment ends,” the fan tweeted, who goes by “xIAMHOLLYWOODx” on Twitter. “Side note. I love and respect like 99% of all wrestlers. I honest to god never try to make the show ABOUT me, get myself over, etc. My rule of thumb is to boo the bad guys and cheer the good guys. It’s rare that I’ll flip the script but I always decide to go along with the show”

Allure were involved again later in the show and reportedly got into another exchange with the fan.

“Second match occurs and it’s a local v a local. Allure interferes at the end. I’m mouthing off to all the girls for no reason other than THEY’RE THE BAD GUYS,” @xIAMHOLLYWOODx tweeted. “Boo… you’re trash… get lost… no one wants you here… etc

“At some point Velvet Sky seemingly loses her cool & is challenging me to come in the ring. Tells me to suck it, calls me a p—y, etc. No prob. Get your heat. She calls me a virgin. I remind her she has sex with that fat turd Bully Ray. Call them the tramp stamp trio. End segment.”

Things got strange from there. The fan claims that ROH security approached the fan and escorted him backstage. The fan said Bully Ray eventually appeared and security left the room. He then claimed that Bully Ray told him to respect the women on the show before ending the conversation and telling him to “go be a fan.” The fan was then taken back to his seat.

“Suddenly BULLY RAY comes out from a back room. Full on gear since he was in the opening segment of the show and he looks PISSED. Much bigger than me so I’m kinda taking a step back on this here. Security backs off and it’s just us two,” he wrote. “He said ‘hey. I heard there was incident tonight with you and some of the girls’ ‘Uh… yeah? I guess’ *I’m so lost* ‘So here’s the deal. You’re done talking down to them. You need to treat them with respect. Don’t be saying anything you wouldn’t say to your mom, you got it?!’

“I’m not trying to act tough. I was legit being intimidated with purpose and I wasn’t about to get kicked out during match 3 so I just bit the bullet and said ‘sure… yes sir… yeah, I understand… yup…’ He said ‘End of convo. Go be a fan’

“Security led me back to my seat.”

We reached out to ROH regarding the incident. ROH General Manager Greg Gilleland provided Wrestling Inc. the following statement:

ROH has always taken fan-first approach, with fan experience being at the forefront of all of our live events. We consider this to be very serious and will be conducting an internal review over the next 48 hours to determine the appropriate actions.

More Lucha Underground Stars Reportedly Seek Legal Help To Obtain Releases

Lucha Underground may have recently settled a class action lawsuit with some of their wrestlers, but it sounds like they could be heading back to court soon with more.

Lucha Central reports Matanza Cueto (ROH star Jeff Cobb), Famous B and XO Lishus (AEW’s Sonny Kiss) have all sought legal representation in order to get their releases from Lucha Underground.

Cobb is the most surprising name on the list, as it was assumed he was released from the company after Season 4 when his character was killed off. Lucha Central claims that despite Jeff signing a contract with ROH, his previous employer has tried to block him from working there because they insist he’s still under contract.

The site also suggests Willie Mack could soon be seeking representation as well due to speculation over his LU contract status being the reason for his NWA National title loss over the weekend.

As we previously reported … El Hijo del Fantasma, Ivelisse, Joey Ryan and Kobra Moon were also recently let out of their LU contracts after banding together in a class-action lawsuit.

Enzo Amore And Big Cass Already Done With ROH?

Enzo Amore and Big Cass created headlines when they crashed the Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling G1 Supercard event earlier this month.

At the show, Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa retained the IWGP Tag Team Championship and won the ROH World Tag Team Championship against PCO & Brody King, The Briscoes, and EVIL & SANADA. Following the match, Enzo & Cass were at ringside and brawled with The Briscoes and Bully Ray. While it was a creative decision to bring them in, they have not appeared for the promotion since.

The former WWE tag team were not at any of the ROH shows this past weekend in Pittsburgh or Columbus. According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, as of this moment, they are not booked for any future appearances and are not a part of any of ROH’s current plans.

The appearance at the G1 Supercard did not go over well with many people backstage. According to Dave Meltzer, the original plans for their ROH debut was for Enzo to grab Mark Briscoe causing Mark to shove him and that would be it. The segment was set to end with Enzo being escorted away by security to play off of Enzo crashing the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view last year. The thought was that it would have been so quick that people would have felt like it was real. It ended up becoming a brawl that involved Bully Ray.

On an episode of Wrestling Inc.’s WINCLY podcast this week, PCO admitted that he was as confused as anyone despite being a part of the match.

“There was a lot of controversy about what happened. For me, I was just worrying about my back because I took a double powerbomb from 12-14 feet in the air straight to the concrete floor,” PCO said before adding that hell broke loose when Enzo and Cass appeared. “I didn’t know what was going on because nobody knew nothing about this. I just came back from TV tapings in Pittsburgh and Columbus… and I got back yesterday and there was no Enzo and no Cass at those events. I haven’t heard anything from the office so I don’t know what’s going on with that. Are they signed? Are they not signed?

“It’s all question marks for me as it is for you so I guess it’s a corporate decision. I have no power over it and I can’t say if I’m not in favor of it or if I am in favor of it. I don’t know nothing about it and I’m gonna let the ROH executives deal with it… I know GoD weren’t happy about it. It seems like they weren’t pleased with the fact that somebody could jump over the fence like that and take their moment so to speak.”

The G1 Supercard was the pairing’s first pro wrestling appearance together since they were let go by WWE.

Rush On Bringing Los Ingobernables To ROH

SoloWrestling.com recently spoke to Ring of Honor star Rush. He commented about remaining in ROH for a long time and eventually wanting to bring Los Ingobernables to the promotion.

“Sure, I’m gonna stay [for a long time] time in ROH, “Rush said. “Big plans are coming for the ‘big ingobernable.’ In Mexico, Los Ingobernables were born. We are in Mexico, in Japan, and in others parts of the world. It would be great to have them in ROH with wrestlers from ROH’s roster. I’d love to do it during my time here. I’m studying English. I need and I want to form Los Ingobernables here in ROH, too.”

Enzo Amore And Big Cass Brawl With ROH Wrestlers At G1 Supercard (VIDEO)

Former WWE stars Enzo Amore and Big Cass got into a brawl with ROH wrestlers in Madison Square Garden at G1 Supercard.

It all went down after the four-way tag team match when Enzo and Cass hopped the barricade and began fighting talent. Bully Ray then ran over to get some shots in.

Things began to escalate, but security didn’t jump in. This would seem to signal that this was planned beforehand and not like Enzo’s stunt at Staples, but the fight wasn’t show on the broadcast. We’ve been unable to verify with 100% certainty at this time if this was a work, but all signs point in that direction.

Once the wrestlers were all split apart, Enzo and Cass were escorted through the crowd.
