Report: TNA Signing With A New Network
PWInsider reports that multiple sources within TNA have reported to them that TNA is really finished with Spike TV and is expected to announce a new network soon.
TNA’s reported new TV deal is real close to completed, if it’s not signed already. The new deal will reportedly be a multi-year deal. Details of TNA’s new TV deal are unknown right now but they will reportedly be able to have more programming than just Impact Wrestling on the new network.
Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio last week that officials at Destination America believe a deal with TNA was completed. Destination America is a channel in the Discovery Network that is available in 52% of the country. Meltzer noted that the number is actually high, because it counts all the subscribers for a service like DirecTV, even though it’s only available on the higher tier packages. The highest rated show in the history of Destination America has only done around 40,000 viewers.
According to PWInsider, this Wednesday’s episode of Impact Wrestling on Spike may be TNA’s last episode on that network.

Ronda Rousey gets involved in PWG event
This past Friday on October 17th 2014 UFC battemweight champion Ronda Rousey attended the PWG (pro wrestling Guerrilla) event in Reseda California with fellow training partners and UFC fighters Shayna Baszler and Jessamyn Duke. Rousey had to leave the event early since she had training in the morning the next day as she preps for her title defense in January. However the champ had some fun before jetting out. The “rowdy” one got involved in one of the matches directly from where she was sitting in the front row. She was prompted by one of the wrestlers to chop his opponents chest in Ric Flair fashion and Rousey did just that which led to cheers and woos from the crowd. You can read more on the story here http://www.foxsports.com/ufc/haymaker/ronda-rousey-gets-involved-in-local-california-pro-wrestling-show-101914?cmpid=tsmtw:fscom:ufconfox
Man oh man what I would’ve given to see that happen. Kudos to the wrestlers of PWG for getting the crowd involved and putting on a show all on their own.
Things like this really really make me want a “4Horsewomen” invasion in the WWE: I know without a shadow of a doubt it would be “best for business” I guess only time will tell

Wrestling Legend Ox Baker Passed Away At 80
Wrestling legend Ox Baker has passed away at the age of 80. Ox was notorious for his dreaded Heart Punch. Ox captured numerous titles & was involved in feuds with the likes of Harley Race, Bruiser Brody & Big John Studd. Terry Funk once called Ox the toughest man he has ever shared a ring with. Ox appeared in John Carpenter’s 1981 cult classic sci-fi action film “Escape From New York” staring Kurt Russell.
Jerry Lawler tweeted about the passing of his friend:
WWE issued a statement on the passing of Ox Baker, saying they was saddened to learn that Ox Baker passed away & that they extend its condolences to Ox’s colleagues, friends & family.
The Great Muta Threatens The Rock
Yahoo Japan has an article with The Great Muta talking about how he’s going to attack The Rock when The Rock visits Japan later this month to promote the DVD release of Hercules. The Rock’s vistit to Japan will be his first in 12 years & it appears that Muta is using that as a way to get publicity for Wrestle-1.
TNA & GFW Talking With Same Networks
It’s being reported by Wrestling Observer Newsletter that TNA Impact Wrestling & Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling have been in talks with the same TV networks because very few networks are interested in picking up pro wrestling.
TNA has the upper-hand over GFW because they are operational, have history & have stars under contract. Spike TV not renewing TNA is making it harder for GFW to get a TV deal.
Another issue for TNA is that most of the networks that TNA are rumored to be talking with don’t air in Canada. There has always been strong support for pro wrestling in Canada.
