Off the ropes, kitchen sink knee gets Cody a two count, chops from Owens and Rhodes dropkicks him to set up a figure four leglock! To the ropes, back on their feet, Cody runs the ropes and gets passed to the apron and KO blasts him off of it and into the barricade! Owens working the ribs, elbows, punches, side Russian legsweep for two.

Headlock, shot off, drop down, shoulder block, both men go for lariats and end up down and out. Manhattan Drop, Rhodes off the ropes, up and over, snap scoop powerslam! Stunner attempt, countered into Cross Rhodes… OWENS KICKS OUT! Up in the turnbuckles, jockeying for position… KO COUNTERS WITH THE AVALANCHE FISHERMAN BUSTER AND IT’S ONLY A NEARFALL! Trading punches in the middle of the ring, trading superkicks, neither man falling, Cody with the drop down slap!

He goes up for the Cody Cutter but his knee gives out, as Kevin Owens predicted! He charges to attack it but stops short, unwilling to have a tainted victory! Back inside, pressing the attack, Stunner… RHODES KICKS OUT! Back up top, senton atomico… CODY GOT THE KNEES UP! Staggering over, inverted facelock…

Cody Rhodes wins by pinfall with Cross Rhodes, retaining the WWE Undisputed Championship.

Post-match, Kevin Owens refuses help and gets to his feet under his own power and has a moment in the ropes before turning around and hugging Cody Rhodes and then raising his hand. Cody tries to return the favor but Kev isn’t having it and raises his hand again.

Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill vs. Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) (c) (WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship)

Belair in the ring with both champions, referee Dan Engler failing to control the situation, all four women in the ring. Things settle down, Belair on Fyre, fighting in the corner, moonsault up and over, Alba whips her into the turnbuckle by her own hair and the champions are in control!

Heat segment rolls on at some incredible length, tag champs keeping the ring cut in half. Bianca sidesteps a dropkick and the path is clear! Back body drop sends Fyre to the floor, lands on her feet off a back suplex from Dawn, back suplex of her own, Jade mere feet away… TAG MADE! Jade in like a house afire, Jackhammer on Isla… NOPE!

McIntyre does it himself and yells at Zapata to hit the bell and we’re off! Back and forth, Punk hits a Go to Sleep but chooses not to tag the turnbuckles and presses the attack!

To the floor, CM looking under the ring for plunder but McIntyre cuts him off and bounces him off the announce desk! Underhooks on the desk but Punk back body drops him instead! Whipping him with the strap, back inside, Drew turns the tide and slams him on a steel chair and CM Punk is busted open!

Drew hits two turnbuckles, a third, heading for the fourth but CM bails to the floor and McIntyre goes spiraling face-first into a steel chair wedged into the turnbuckles!

Drew recovers and counters a bulldog with a powerbomb over the ropes and through a table on the floor! Back inside, touching the turnbuckles, one, two, Punk touching them himself as well, all three of them, CM slips out, trying to keep him away from the turnbuckles, both men reaching, stretching, desperate, no deal!

Frye/Takayama punches, Claymore blocked with a kick, Punk with a Sharpshooter, Drew tapping but no finish! CM dragging himself over, one turnbuckle, two turnbuckles, Drew yanks on the strap and hits a neckbreaker to reset the turnbuckles! McIntyre pulls the friendship bracelet out, counts down… CLAYMORE!

One turnbuckle, a second, a third, just one more but Punk pulls him in, Go to Sleep and both men are down! A second Go to Sleep! Turnbuckle! Turnbuckle! A third Go to Sleep! Turnbuckle! The path is clear but he wants to keep McIntyre down and hits a fourth Go to Sleep! He takes the bracelet…

CM Punk wins, touching all four turnbuckles to put us all out of our miseries.

Nikki Garcia Reportedly Threw Shoes At Artem Chigvintsev, Child Witnessed The Incident

TMZ has obtained the radio dispatch from the Artem Chigvintsev domestic violence incident that took place on Thursday morning.

Chigvintsev originally called 911 to request medical assistance, claiming that his wife Nikki Garcia had thrown a pair of shoes at him. Just minutes later, he called back saying that he no longer needed any medical assistance.

In the radio dispatch, the dispatcher says, “Initially came in as requesting medical, but now he is stating he got into an argument with his wife and his wife threw shoes at rp [reporting party].”

The dispatcher added, “There is a child on scene. Medical en route. There’s an active 415 [disturbing the peace] in the background responsible.”

The dispatcher confirmed that a child was present at the home, and that the wife had the child.

Due to a 911 call being being made, police still showed up an hour later and saw visible injuries on the alleged victim. At that point, they arrested Artem for felony corporal injury to a spouse.

TNA Emergence 8/30/2024 (Results), JBL, TNA Updates Alisha Edwards’ Injury Status After Being Knocked Out In Match

Countdown to Emergence

Frankie Kazarian defeated Kushida. The Time Splitter hooked an armbar on the floor, and Kaz tapped out until the referee broke the hold. Since the action was outside the ring, the submission didn’t count. Upon re-entry to the ring, Kazarian kicked the ropes up into Kushida’s groin. I think Kaz plotted that cheat by messing up the apron on purpose. As the referee pulled the apron back into place for safety reasons, Kaz struck low behind the ref’s back. That cheap tactic directly led to the Fade to Black piledriver for Kazarian to win.

ABC demanded a fight with First Class, and they were okay with putting the tag titles on the line. Rich Swan was unable to compete, so AJ Francis brought in KC Navarro as his partner.

TNA Digital Media Championship & International Heavyweight Championship: PCO defeated Matt Cardona’s mystery monster to retain both titles. Cardona wasn’t even there, but the reveal was “The Indian Lion” Shera. PCO took out his frustration to win via moonsault. Steph De Lander was proud of her husband.

Emergence

X-Division Championship in Ultimate X: Zachary Wentz defeated Mike Bailey, Alexander Hammerstone, Jason Hotch, Riley Osborne, and Laredo Kid to win the title. Bailey entered as champion. Osborne arrived from NXT. High-flying flow with Hammerstone as the power hoss. The finish came down to Bailey and Wentz on the X ropes scrambling for the prize. They battled for hand position, and Wentz knocked Bailey down to the mat. Wentz unhooked the title belt to claim victory. (Full details here.)

Steve Maclin defeated Eric Young. Rugged fight. Maclin kicked out of a piledriver. When Young went for a second piledriver at the urging of the crowd, Maclin countered for a jackknife pin to steal the win. Afterward, Young offered a handshake of respect.

Jordynne Grace, Jody Threat, & Dani Luna defeated Ash by Elegance, Alisha Edwards, & Masha Slamovich. Alisha appeared to get knocked out for real when receiving a dive on the floor. Medical staff carried her to the back. The action continued, but the match never really got back on track. Grace smashed Slamovich on a spinning backfist and a musclebuster. For the finish, Ash missed a swanton, and Threat capitalized for an F5 to win.

TNA World Tag Team Championship: Ace Austin & Chris Bey defeated AJ Francis & KC Navarro to retain the titles. The finish was a tricky scene. During the fisticuffs, Navarro tagged himself in, but Ace knocked him off the apron. Francis was unaware of the tag and chokeslammed Bey. When Top Dolla made the cover, the referee informed him that he was the illegal man. Ace struck amidst the confusion for The Fold on Francis. Navarro hit Sliced Bread on Ace. Navarro got cocky, then Bey rolled him up to win.

Moose, Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, & Johnny Dango Curtis defeated Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Joe Hendry, & Mike Santana. The finish came down to a flurry of moves. Matt hit a Side Effect on Edwards. Moose speared Matt. Santana clocked Moose with a discus lariat. Myers unloaded a Roster Cut clothesline on Santana. Jeff landed a swanton on Myers. Dango planted Jeff on a Falcon Arrow. Hendry hit the Standing Ovation slam on Dango. Edwards dumped Hendry on a Blue Thunder Bomb. Matt connected on a Twist of Fate to Edwards. 1, 2, Moose pulled Matt off the pin out of the ring. Matt responded with a Twist of Fate on the floor. The referee was out of position and missed Edwards kick Matt in the gonads. A Boston Knee Party from Edwards to Matt sealed the deal for the System.

TNA World Championship in 60-minute Iron Man match: Nic Nemeth defeated Josh Alexander to retain the title. Nemeth scored a 2-0 lead half way through. Alexander evened the score on two pinfalls from consecutive C4 spike piledivers with 15 minutes left. High drama down the stretch. Nemeth hit the Danger Zone with under 1 minute remaining. Instead of a pin, he executed a C4 spike piledriver of his own on Alexander. The score was 3-2 with 22 seconds to go. Alexander couldn’t rise to his feet as time ran out. Nemeth’s celebration was interrupted by JBL. John Bradshaw Layfield entered the ring and whispered to Nemeth. The world champ nodded his head in agreement. JBL exited. Show over.

TNA updates Alisha Edwards’ injury status after being knocked out in match.

A scary moment occurred in the women’s trios tag contest at Emergence (Aug. 30, 2024). Alisha Edwards was knocked out during the match. This was a real injury situation and not part of a storyline.

Alisha teamed with Masha Slamovich and Ash by Elegance to take on Jordynne Grace, Jody Threat, and Dani Luna. In the early going, Alisha was on the receiving end of a dive on the outside. The impact knocked Alisha out, and her arms went stiff.

Here is a glimpse of the aftermath. Spitfire tried to set up the next move on Alisha, but she wasn’t moving. When listening to the audio, I’m going to give the benefit of the doubt to the fan shouting, “She’s dead.” Alisha’s character is a trickster, so it would be easy to think she was faking. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The match continued, and Alisha was carried to the back by medical personnel.

After the show, Gia Miller provided an injury update from TNA. “Alisha Edwards as well was rendered unconscious and was knocked out in her match. She is also placed under concussion protocols.”

Grace issued a statement on social media.

When we have live events, streaming in front of thousands of people, you want everything to go perfect.

Sometimes that doesn’t happen, and it’s no one’s fault. Freak accidents happen.

We love you so fucking much @MrsAIPAlisha.

Nikki Garcia’s Husband (Artem Chigvintsev) Arrested For Domestic Battery

Dancing With The Stars Pro Artem Chigvintsev was arrested on charges of felony domestic battery. Chigvintsev is the husband of WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Garcia (Nikki Bella).

TMZ is reporting that a representative for the Napa County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that police responded to a domestic violence call in Yountville shortly after 10:00 AM local time on Thursday.

After interviews were conducted, an arrest was made at the scene. It is said that injuries are involved.

At around 8:30 AM PST on Thursday, a call was made from the home of Chigvintsev and his wife, WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Garcia (Nikki Bella), to report a “medical emergency.” As of this writing, there is no word on who made the call.

As paramedics and the fire department were en route, someone from the same house called 911 to cancel the request. At that point, paramedics and the fire department returned to their stations.

Police did arrive at the home, as per usual when someone calls 911. At 10:00 AM PST, Artem was arrested for felony corporal injury to spouse or cohabitant. For the arrest to be a felony, the injury must be visible.

Additionally, TMZ is reporting that the alleged victim in the case is cooperating with police. It is said that police are interested to know whether there’s a history of domestic violence between the two people involved. The victim in the case has asked for total confidentiality. So while we can’t and won’t name Nikki as the victim, you can draw your own conclusions here.

While the victim has been talking to law enforcement, they are planning follow-up interviews with both sides to see if there is a history of past incidents. Additionally, it is said that a child may have witnessed the incident.

Finally, Chigvintsev posted a $25,000 bail and was released from jail at 2:18 PM PST.

The investigation is still currently ongoing.

You can check out Artem Chigvintsev’s mugshot photo a the top left.
