Backstage News On WWE’s Plans For Ronday Rousey And A Horsewomen Vs. Horsewomen Match

WWE officials are still planning on doing the Horsewomen vs. Horsewomen match with Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks and Bayley vs. Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The match is now being planned for WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans. One reason the match has been pushed back until then is because there’s a RAW vs. SmackDown theme at Survivor Series, where the match was once rumored to take place. Another reason they’re waiting until 2018 to do the match is the feeling that the extra time will help them get Rousey, Duke and Shafir ready for the ring.

Baszler continues to train at the WWE Performance Center under her WWE NXT deal and Rousey was at the Performance Center this past week. No word yet on the rumored Rousey vs. Flair singles match happening in the future but it was once rumored for WrestleMania.

Adam Blampied Admits To Manipulating Women For Nude Photos, Taking Leave Of Absence From Cultaholics

adam blampied leave absence manipulating women nude photos cultaholics

A woman has come forward saying ex-What Culture personality Adam Blampied manipulated her into sending nude photos and now he’s taking a leave of absence from Cultaholics.

Blampied posted his statement on Twitter shortly before the woman spoke out and said he’d be taking a “short” leave to deal with some personal issues.

Adding, “I wanted to make this situation public for reasons that will become clear. I want to publicly apologize for actions in my private life over the past few years: I have falsely claimed to several woman via social media that I was in an open relationship with my girlfriend as a means to repeatedly message them and encourage them to send me images of themselves.”

Adam claims he didn’t make threats or offer perks in exchange, but he did exploit his public position by manipulating women in this manner.

Not long after his statement was posted, a woman on Twitter published a lengthy telling of her experience with Blampied (along with photo proof) and it details how he drunkenly asked her for topless photos after admitting he had a girlfriend who wouldn’t approve.

She continued, “Knowing that I was 19, drunk, sexually inexperienced and had moral objections to sending him nudes, he continued to try to persuade me. In the end, I relented. I don’t feel good about my actions. I wish I had had the self-control to not do it, but I’d never really had that kind of attention from a man before, especially not someone like Blampied. He was charming, he was the face of a YouTube channel and I’d been a fan of him for awhile.”

The woman admits the whole situation messed with her mental health and she has since learned he’s done the same thing to other women as well, which contributed to her making this public.

As Pro Wrestling Sheet previously reported, Adam is the Head of Creative at Cultaholics — the new venture from the core group of personalities who recently left What Culture. During his time away, Blampied says he’ll be focusing on getting profesional help and coming to terms with the choices he’s made.

Promoter Claims Jeff Jarrett Passed Out From Drinking In Locker Room And Insisted On Wrestling (Video)

Jeff Jarrett allegedly passed out from drinking in a locker room at an indie show on Friday, then insisted on wrestling — and this video sadly shows he was in no condition to be in the ring.

Real Canadian Wrestling promoter Steven Ewaschuk tells Pro Wrestling Sheet Jeff showed up to the venue late on Friday and appeared to be slightly intoxicated, while claiming his tardiness was due to a customs issue.

Jarrett allegedly said he had trouble at the border and an agent allowed him into Canada under the condition that he’d be back at the airport by 6am the next morning to handle everything.

Ewaschuk claims Jeff Jarrett continued to drink and ultimately passed out in the locker room during the show. When intermission began, he had to be woken up for pictures.  Jeff then got ready for his match, despite suspicion that he was still drinking, and attempted to wrestle a twenty-minute match.

Before the match, Double J’s music hit for his entrance but the wrestler didn’t come out. His opponent then got on the microphone and said Jeff was upstairs getting drunk. Jeff finally hit the ring moments later and for about ten minutes the two wrestlers stalled for time.

After the event was over, the promoter paid the 50-year-old and expressed his unhappiness over the situation. Jarrett said he’d update them on the border situation, but never did. Instead, they found out the following day when JJ never arrived in Edmonton for his next booking with them.

It’s unclear if this situation had anything to do with his Impact Wrestling termination.

The video below was provided by RCW and features parts of the match. At one point Jeff picks up his opponent for a bodyslam and falls over. Moments later he does his strut in a wobbly line.

Pro Wrestling Sheet reached out to Jeff for comment and he denied passing out in the locker room. He also referred to the promoter as an “amateur.”

WWE Investing In ESports Company (Cloud9)

ESPN reports that WWE is investing in eSports organization Cloud9, which was formed in 2013. The company recently raised $25 million in Series A financing from WWE, the Beverly Hills Sports Council, MLB veteran Hunter Pence and others.

“We just looked around the space, looked at all the players and did our own evaluation of who we thought would be successful in the long term,” WWE Chief Strategy and Financial Officer George Barrios told ESPN. “We just thought that the Cloud9 team had developed lots of expertise and we’re just really, really impressed with Jack [Etienne, the Cloud9 CEO] and the rest of the staff; how professional they were, how organized and how much infrastructure they had built for a small organization. We thought they were on their way. We looked at a lot of players, and they were the ones we put in the top tier.”
