The Undertaker To Return On 25th Anniversary Of WWE RAW

WWE announced The Undertaker will be making an appearance on the 25th anniversary of Raw on January 22, 2018. This will be his first WWE TV appearance since losing to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 in April. Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, and other WWE legends will be in attendance, as will both the Raw and SmackDown rosters. The show will emanate from two locations, the Barclays Center and Manhattan Center in New York City. Bellow is WWE’s full statement:

“As first reported by The New York Post, the 25th anniversary of Monday Night Raw will emanate from Barclays Center and Manhattan Center in New York City on Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, and air live on USA Network at 8/7 C. Tickets are available for each event starting this Friday, Nov. 3, through all Ticketmaster outlets, http://www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.Superstars from both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown LIVE will be at Barclays Center, while the event at Manhattan Center, the site of the first episode of Raw, will feature both WWE Superstars competing, plus special appearances by WWE Legends The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash, among others. VIP packages, including a meet-and-greet with a WWE Legend, will be available for fans at Manhattan Center.

It’s not just Dusty Rhodes concepts and brand names WWE is mining from their Jim Crockett Promotions archive. Looks like they’ve also enlisted longtime JCP/WCW announcer Tony Schiavone to promote the Nov. 25 Starrcade event in Greensboro, North Carolina. As far as we know, it’s still just a loaded house show, but that hasn’t prevented them from pulling out some pretty cool stops to sell this bad boy.

Here’s Schiavone delivering an old school WCW “Control Center” rundown of the card:

Triple H Set To Wrestle During WWE’s UK Tour

WWE is heading to the UK next month and Triple H has announced that he’ll be stepping into the squared circle during some of the shows.

The WWE exec tweeted, “U.K., be ready. I’ll be there. In the middle of the ring. Glasgow 11/1, Brighton 11/2, London 11/3, Minehead 11/4, Cardiff 11/5 .”

Superstars from Raw and Smackdown will be heading out on a nine-day, 10-event tour that stops in England, Scotland and Wales starting next week.

No word yet as to who he’ll be wrestling, but Triple H did face-off against Rusev at a live event in Chile over the weekend — so maybe RuRu will get a rematch.

It appears R-Truth underwent surgery yesterday as he is suffering from some sort of arm injury. No word yet on Truth’s last match but it looked like it happened at the October 14th WWE live event in Regina, Saskatchewan, losing to Elias. He posted the following on Instagram yesterday, mentioning the surgery:

Ricochet Not Taking Any Independent Dates After January, WWE Royal Rumble Debut Possible

A possible WWE debut for Ricochet has been rumored for some time, most recently earlier this month. Ricochet recently gave an emotional interview after NJPW King of Pro Wrestling, which was said to feel like a goodbye. His Lucha Underground contract is expected to expire on or around January 16 and he’s previously hinted that he wants to go to WWE.

Now The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via Sportskeeda) reports that Ricochet could be in the WWE in time to join the annual 30-man Royal Rumble match, which would be his debut. With the Lucha Underground contact set to expire around mid-January, a Rumble debut is possible. Even more evidence points to the fact that the independent star allegedly told promoters he won’t take any dates after the end of that month. If that happened, the former Prince Puma would get a debut spot similar to that of AJ Styles, who is now a big player in WWE.

Taryn Terrell Gone From Impact Because She Can’t Get Into Canada

It was reported last week that Taryn Terrell was pulled from the Knockouts title match at Bound for Glory and that she was done with the company. According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the concussion story from TV (which took her out of the match) is a cover. The real story is that Terrell cannot get into Canada, and with the company shifting TV tapings for now into Canada, as well as Bound for Glory, it made it impossible to use her going forward. This is similar to Jim Cornette’s departure from the company. The split was said to be amicable on both sides.
