Fan Who Attacked Seth Rollins Apparently Catfished By Fake Rollins Social Media Account

As per a report, the fan who attacked Seth Rollins apparently did so because he was scammed by a fake Rollins social media account.

It certainly doesn’t excuse a fan jumping over the railing at a WWE live event and attacking a performer, but according to a report, the reason one took aim at Seth Rollins on Monday night was that he was prompted to do so on social media.

According to wrestling reporter Sean Ross Sapp, “The guy who attacked Seth Rollins got scammed and catfish by a fake Seth Rollins account. Welp”. This news comes as an update after it was reported WWE was filing charges against Elisah Spencer, 24, who attacked Rollins as he was leaving the entryway post his segment with Finn Balor in the first hour of Monday Night Raw. Spencer has been charged with attempted assault and attempted violation of arts and cultural affairs.

It’s a strange development in a story that caught a ton of attention Monday evening and has been discussed on Tuesday after Chavo Guerrero took to Twitter and said, “Remember when the wrestlers were tougher than the fans? Ah, the good ol’ days.” The fact that Spencer might have been egged on by a fake social media account pretending to be Rollins is hard to wrap one’s head around. The suggestion here would be that someone posed as Rollins and dared the 24-year-old to try and get at him during the show. The alternative would be that he was upset he was scammed and took it out on the real Rollins.

While it cannot be confirmed, there are also reports that the fake account convinced Spencer to send them money and clearly took advantage of him and his being totally unaware he was being scammed.

Regardless of how this all turns out, the real Seth Rollins should be commended for how he reacted. Not only did he get the attacker in a choke until officials stepped in, but he didn’t do much more than drop a few choice words. From there, when he came back out to the ring, he jokingly looked around the arena as a good heel would do to see if anyone else might have had the same idea.

Producer Scotty Too Hotty Hints Changes To NXT Why He Asked For WWE Release

Former WWE star and current producer Scotty Too Hotty posted that he’s asked for his release from WWE and cites his principles as the reason.

It appears as though former WWE Superstar and current producer Scotty Too Hotty is leaving WWE. He posted a message on social media Tuesday afternoon and noted that he would never “be part of something solely for the paycheck” and relayed to the WWE Universe that he requested his release.

While he didn’t come out directly and say that the changes to NXT and the rebrand are the reason for his desire to leave his job with WWE, it certainly sounds as though Scott Garland (Scotty Too Hotty) is not a fan of the new-look NXT. He referred specifically to the product he was involved with the “black and gold brand” and said producing the stars of NXT (not NXT 2.0) was a highlight of his life. In a message he addressed to WWE fans, he wrote:

“Today I have asked for my release from World Wrestling Entertainment. 30 years ago I stepped into a WWE ring for the very first time. I have lived my dream 100 times over. Some of my most special memories will be from the last five years working with NXT. The black and gold brand was something special and I am proud to have been a small part of that. I always promised myself that I would never be part of something solely for the paycheck and that was where I was at. I told myself that I would walk away if I ever got to that point, so that is what I have chosen to do.”

Even though it was not confirmed that his release was granted, members of the WWE roster and other producers were quick to jump on his timeline and wish him the best. It is assumed that his request has been granted and that he is no longer a part of NXT.

While it could have been the mass layoffs or other reasons, it appears Scotty was not a fan of the direction NXT was and is headed. He’s getting a lot of support from fans who are congratulating him for doing what he thinks is right and not wanting to be a part of a product he doesn’t believe in.

Triple H And Stephanie McMahon’s Oldest Daughter Has Started Wrestling Training

Another generation of McMahons is already preparing for their in-ring debut.

Wrestling is very much a family business for a lot of people. The Guerreros, the Harts, the Von Erichs. The list of families who have so many members in the business that they have become synonymous with the industry goes on and on. You can’t leave the McMahons off that list, of course. Whether you like Vince McMahon and WWE in its current form or not, there’s no knowing where wrestling would be today without the McMahon family.

The McMahons have been wrestlers ever since Vince first decided to trade the boardroom and the announce desk for the ring, and his father and grandfather were promoters before him. Shane and Stephanie have followed in their father’s footsteps, and it seems even more McMahons will be entering the ring and be a part of WWE in the future.

That’s according to Stephanie who recently revealed to TalkSport that hers and Triple H’s oldest daughter has already started training. “Just like her grandfather, she wants to be the boss so we’ll see what happens with my oldest daughter who has already started training in the ring,” Stephanie said.

The WWE power couple’s oldest daughter is 15 and is called Aurora. Apparently, when she was eight, she told her parents she doesn’t want their jobs, she wants Vince’s. If Aurora is going to follow in her grandad’s footsteps, then that will require competing in the ring as well as running the company. She clearly seems to be preparing for that having already started to train. Their youngest daughter is also interested in the business, but Stephanie didn’t mention their middle daughter.

Since Aurora is only 15, her in-ring debut is still a long way off. It’s exciting to think that there is another generation of McMahons waiting in the wings. Not just Triple H and Stephanie’s three daughters, but also Shane’s three sons. As for Aurora, since she is only five years younger than The Rock’s daughter Simone Johnson, and Johnson is already under contract in NXT, perhaps the two will reignite their dads’ rivalry a decade or so from now.

Seth Rollins Attacked By Fan During RAW Broadcast, WWE Released A Statement

WWE Superstar Seth Rollins was attacked by a fan as he made his way up the ramp during the November 22 edition of Monday Night Raw.

Seth Rollins was tackled from behind by a fan during this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw.

The incident occurred at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York on Monday, November 22 — the night after 2021’s Survivor Series pay-per-view.

Rollins made his way to the ring to address the WWE Universe regarding the events of the previous night, during which he was the sole survivor of the men’s inter-brand five-on-five traditional Survivor Series elimination match. Rollins bragged about winning the match by himself and dragged every one of his teammates through the mud. He said that Kevin Owens showed his true colors by getting intentionally counted out, and added that Austin Theory wasn’t good enough to get the job done. The main target of Seth’s ire, however, was Finn Balor, with whom he was scheduled to go one-on-one.

Balor made his way to the ring for the match, but Rollins ambushed him during his entrance. Balor fought back and the two men brawled until Rollins gained the upper hand once again. Rollins tossed Balor over the barricade and into the announce table. He then hit the Irishman with the steel steps and dragged him into the ring. Rollins then delivered a devastating stomp to Balor, and made his way back up the ramp … and that’s when things got real ugly.

As Rollins was walking up the ramp, he was attacked from behind by an unknown assailant. The initial stages of the attack were caught on the live broadcast, but the show quickly went to a commercial break.

Fan footage of the incident shows the fan jumping on Rollins and tussling with the WWE Superstar for a few moments before WWE officials and security guards intervene and dragged the assailant away. A later video showed the fan being marched up the stairs by security before presumably being ejected from the venue and/or taken into custody.

Thankfully, Rollins seems to have escaped the incident unharmed.

WWE has released a statement regarding the incident described below. The statement reads as follows:

“WWE takes the safety of its performers very seriously. The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

WWE RAW Preview 11/22/21

Tonight’s WWE RAW will take place from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York City with fallout from Sunday’s Survivor Series pay-per-view.

WWE has not announced any matches for tonight’s RAW but there will be more on the storyline for Cleopatra’s $100 million golden egg, which someone stole from WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon at the pay-per-view last night. Vince said he was gifted the egg by The Rock after it was featured in his new “Red Notice” movie.

The RAW and SmackDown locker rooms are set to be at tonight’s show as Adam Pearce tries to figure out who stole the egg.

Survivor Series fallout on tonight’s RAW will include a follow-up to Kevin Owens walking out on Team RAW, plus RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch appearing to celebrate her win over SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and to continue the feud with #1 contender Liv Morgan.

There’s no word on matches for tonight’s RAW but it’s believed that Veer Mahaan may make his return to the red brand show after weeks of vignettes. Veer defeated John Morrison on WWE Main Event last week, in what was Morrison’s final match with the company.

WWE SmackDown Preview 11/19/21

Tonight’s WWE SmackDown on FOX will air live from the XL Center in Hartford, CT with the go-home build for Sunday’s Survivor Series pay-per-view.

Sasha Banks looks for payback in a showdown against Shotzi

It was also announced last week by Ridge Holland that Sheamus will be returning to the blue brand tonight. The Celtic Warrior recently moved to the blue brand in the WWE Draft, but has been away since late September after undergoing another nose surgery. It looks like Holland will be teaming with Sheamus, for a potential feud against Cesaro, unless they pull a swerve and go with Holland vs. Sheamus instead.

It’s believed that tonight’s show will see the final member of the men’s Team SmackDown revealed for the 5-on-5 Traditional Elimination Match at Sunday’s pay-per-view. Sami Zayn was pulled from the team last week.

Toni Storm was named as the final member of the SmackDown women’s team. Sonya Deville pulled Aliyah from the team last week.

It’s interesting that no RAW Superstars are being advertised for tonight’s Survivor Series go-home edition of SmackDown, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be a big RAW vs. SmackDown angle tonight

Jeff Hardy Wants Heel Turn In WWE Based On Being “Mistreated”

“The Charismatic Enigma” Jeff Hardy recently spoke with Sportbible about some new ideas he has for his future in WWE.

The former WWE Champion has mentioned in the past his desire to bring in Willow from his days in Impact Wrestling. He also recently delved into an idea that evoked The Fiend and the Firefly Funhouse, where Hardy would become like Bob Ross at times.

Now, Jeff Hardy gave his take on what he might look like as a heel character on television. Instead of focusing so much on the fans’ opinion of him, he would try to aim his frustrations and criticisms at WWE.

“I think there’s a way to kind of turn heel without turning on the fans,” Jeff states. “It’s like turning on the company where it’s something like, ‘Ok, I’m 44 years old. I’ve been doing this for so long and I’m really being mistreated – what’s going on here? Should I ask for my release from World Wrestling Entertainment?’.

“This is not a ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ question, it’s a ‘Yay!’ or ‘Boo!’ question – let them yay or let them the boo and let them decide. That’s just an idea that popped into my head but it might be a route to take. I feel like there’s something to be unleashed inside me that wants to get out and rage to a certain extent and hopefully, we’ll figure that out.”

From being part of one of the greatest tag teams of all time to becoming WWE Champion to taking part in WWE 24/7 title segments, Hardy has done it all in his career. Perhaps we will see a full-on heel turn in “The Charismatic Enigma’s” future.

Jeff Hardy will be a part of the traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series match this Sunday, representing team SmackDown. Stay tuned to Wrestling Inc. for live coverage of the show!
