WWE Hall Of Famer Scott Hall Passes Away, WWE Pays Tribute On RAW

WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall has tragically passed away at the age of 63.

News of Hall’s passing was confirmed by WWE on Monday, March 14. “WWE is saddened to learn that two-time WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall has passed away,” the company said in a statement. “WWE extends its condolences to Hall’s family, friends and fans.”

Hall was hospitalized last week after falling and injuring his hip. The WWE Hall of Famer underwent surgery which caused a blood clot to be dislodged. Hall subsequently suffered three heart attacks and was on life support until Monday afternoon. On Sunday evening, Hall’s former nWo comrade Kevin Nash took to social media to reveal that Hall was due to be taken off of life support and would likely die as a result.

WWE paid tribute to the “Bad Guy” Scott Hall/Razor Ramon during last night’s RAW;

Scott Hall’s wrestling career began in 1994. He found megastardom during a four-year stint with WWE, where he performed under the name Razor Ramon from 1992 to 1996. Hall famously parted ways with WWE and jumped ship to WCW, giving Ted Turner’s promotion a major boost in its efforts to win the Monday Night Wars.

Hall struggled with addiction issues for much of his career but got sober with the help of Diamond Dallas Page back in 2013.

Former ROH Women’s Champion Rok-C Reportedly Signs With WWE

After several months of rumors and speculation, it appears that former Ring of Honor Women’s Champion Rok-C is finally on her way to WWE.

According to PWInsider, the 20-year-old wrestler has indeed signed with WWE for the promotion’s NXT brand. No date was given for her potential start date.

PWInsider’s report confirms what many saw as the inevitable since Rok-C was released from her Ring of Honor contract, along with everyone else in ROH, late in 2021.

It was reported by F4WOnline in February that she had been offered a contract by WWE following her second tryout with the company. That same month, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, who helped train Rok-C at his Reality of Wrestling promotion, seemingly confirmed that Rok-C had signed with WWE. He later stated he had misspoke on the matter but was still hopeful the promotion and her would come to an agreement.

Beginning her wrestling training at 13 years old, Rok-C began training under Booker T at 16 and eventually received training from former AAA luchador Daga and MLW luchador Gino Medina. She would work in Reality of Wrestling from 2018 to 2021, the same year she began appearing for Ring of Honor in their revamped Women’s Division.

Rok-C would defeat Miranda Alize at ROH Death Before Dishonor XVIII to win a tournament to become the inaugural ROH Women’s World Champion; she had previously defeated Angelina Love, Sumie Sakai, and Quinn McKay (WWE’s Kelly Kincaid) in the tournament.

At 19 years old, Rok-C became the youngest talent in Ring of Honor history to hold a championship. She defended the title 9 times, notably against Willow Nightingale at ROH Final Battle and against Holidead on the last episode of ROH Wrestling under the Sinclair regime. She would drop the title to Deonna Purrazzo in a Winner Takes All match on the January 13 episode of Impact Wrestling.

Report: AEW EVP Believes Cody Rhodes Has Signed With WWE

At least one AEW EVP believes free agent wrestler Cody Rhodes is bound for WWE, according to Fightful Select.

The report noted that as of last weekend, at least one AEW EVP “fully believed that Cody Rhodes was signed or was signing with WWE and would face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.”

The news outlet added they haven’t been able to confirm Rhodes’ WWE status or potential debut date.

Last week, Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Rhodes’ WWE situation was “back up in the air,” with WWE creative being asked to hold off on plans until Rhodes signs a WWE contract. The report also noted that Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins was previously penciled in for WrestleMania 38, but that was when Rhodes was expected to sign with WWE.

According to Dave Meltzer, upper-level WWE sources “don’t know what happened with the Rhodes talks” and have halted all Rhodes-related plans. With Monday’s RAW being held in Jacksonville, there has been a lot of chatter on social media of Rhodes returning to WWE TV this week.

Sharmell Has Been Added To WWE’s 2022 Hall Of Fame Class

Sharmell joins The Undertaker and Vader in this year’s class.

WrestleMania is now less than three weeks away, and that means a few things. The card is taking shape, rivalries are really starting to ramp up, and WWE has begun revealing who will be going into the Hall Of Fame this year. The Undertaker was the first name announced, and he was joined by Vader shortly after, someone who arguably should have been inducted long ago.

Despite rumors Sid would be the next inductee announced, WWE has gone ahead and revealed someone very different will be going into the Hall on April 1. Sharmell, perhaps better known as Queen Sharmell to wrestling fans. Sharmell was the queen to her husband Booker T’s king for a long spell in WWE, but her career began long before she ever donned a crown alongside the six-time World Champion.

Prior to signing with WWE, Sharmell made a name for herself in WCW as a Nitro Girl, going by Storm at the time. It wasn’t until 2001 that Sharmell signed with WWE following the buyout of WCW. The soon-to-be Hall Of Famer went to OVW first so she could further hone her skills, and also so WWE could figure out where exactly she would land once she was ready for the main roster.

As already highlighted though, it was her run as Queen Sharmell that fans will remember most fondly. Winning King of the Ring is great, but navigating the waters after the fact can be tricky. Not many grown men can pull off a crown, but Booker did it better than almost anyone, and he has Sharmell to thank for a lot of that. Having his wife by his side completely rebranded Booker which is exactly what he needed, and that act would not have worked, nor would it be remembered as fondly as it is all these years later if it wasn’t for Sharmell.

On April 1, Sharmell will be able to call herself a Hall Of Famer. Since inductors appear to be back this year, it seems likely that Booker will be the one to welcome his wife into the Hall Of Fame. The Undertaker and Vader have also been announced as inductees, and there will likely be a few more names added to the class between now and April 1.

Scott Hall Update: Kevin Nash Confirms Heartbreaking News That Hall To Be Taken Off Life Support

Horrible news regarding the health of Scott Hall broke over the weekend. It was revealed that The Bad Guy was on life support after suffering three heart attacks. Hall underwent hip surgery last week, and it appears the heart attacks were caused by a blood clot coming loose. The entire wrestling world has been collectively pulling for Hall to kick out ever since, hoping the next information we heard about him would be good news.

Sadly, that has not been the case. Kevin Nash has posted an update on Hall’s condition, and it’s the worst-case scenario everyone was hoping we wouldn’t have to hear. Nash revealed in a lengthy and heartbreaking Instagram post that when Hall’s family is in place, they will make the decision to discontinue life support.

“Scott’s on life support. Once his family is in place they will discontinue life support. I’m going to lose the one person on this planet I’ve spent more of my life with than anyone else,” Nash wrote on Instagram. “I love Scott with all my heart but now I have to prepare my life without him.”

Nash goes on to summarize some moments he and Hall have shared together in the business, kicking off with when the two of them left WWE and signed with WCW. A move that would change the business forever in so many ways as it lead to the formation of the nWo shortly after.

Nash continues on, saving some of the most emotional parts of his message for the very end. “As we prepare for life without him just remember there goes a great guy you ain’t going to see another one like him again. See Ya down the road Scott. I couldn’t love a human being any more than I do you.”

Truly awful news and our hearts go out to Nash, Hall, his family and friends at this time.

Scott Hall On Life Support After Suffering Three Heart Attacks

Our thoughts go out to Scott Hall and those close to him at this time.

Scott Hall has been battling demons and health issues for the bulk of his career, and news has broken this weekend that the Hall Of Famer is in critical condition following a recent surgery. Hall reportedly suffered three heart attacks on Saturday night and is currently on life support at the Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia. The heart attacks come just days after Hall underwent hip surgery.

According to PWTorch, the heart attacks were the result of a blood clot from the aforementioned surgery coming loose. It is unknown exactly how serious a condition Hall is in at this time. That he is on life support obviously isn’t a good sign, and the former Intercontinental Champion is in our thoughts right now as we hope this terrible news doesn’t get even worse as the day progresses.

While Hall has battled addiction and various health issues throughout his life, he still managed to carve out an incredibly successful wrestling career for himself. First rising to prominence in the AWA during the 1980s, his career was really taken to the next level when he became Razor Ramon in WWE.

After that, Hall and close friend Kevin Nash made one of the biggest splashes in wrestling history when they jumped ship to WCW. First known and The Outsiders, they would eventually add Hulk Hogan to their ranks and become the nWo, one of if not the most successful factions in wrestling history.

Doctor Says Big E’s Wrestling Career Might Be Over

Big E broke his neck on SmackDown and may never be able to wrestle again.

Big E suffered a pretty scary injury on Friday night’s episode of SmackDown, breaking his neck as the result of a botched belly-to-belly Suplex from Ridge Holland.

The former WWE Champion had to be stretchered out and was taken to hospital. He has since updated fans, revealing he won’t need surgery, which is obviously good news. However, he did confirm his C1 and C6 vertebrae were fractured.

David Chao, who spent 17 years as the team doctor of the San Diego Chargers and is currently part of the medical team at OASIS in San Diego, has published an article on Outkick.com suggesting E’s wrestling career might be over, though he points out recovery typically only takes three months in such a case.

“The C1 fracture is most dangerous as the top cervical vertebrae is a ring and is commonly associated with immediate death or complete paralysis. Thankfully the fracture was not displaced and he will not need surgery. However, this type of fracture often heals incompletely and it may mean the end of his wrestling career,” Chao wrote.

“The C6 fracture is likely a compression injury to the vertebral body. This likely requires immobilization but not surgery. One would anticipate a minimum of three-month recovery with return to full function and activities for this lower cervical injury.

“Previously, I had worked regularly with WWE as a consulting physician for events and performing surgery. I can assure you the stunts that are executed are real and come with risk, even though some consider the sport to be “fake.”

“We continue to send our best wishes to Big E and wish him a full and complete recovery from this horrible injury. Also, please do not send any hate towards Ridge Holland for the incident, as accidents happen in wrestling.”

Big E’s injury came as a terrible development for the industry and, based on the above, the 36-year-old is lucky to even be alive.

As it pertains to a return to the ring, Kurt Angle was able to have a great wrestling career after breaking his neck, there’s a lot of encouragement that could be drawn from that.
