TNA – Destination America News

TNA officials are said to be extremely happy with the new Destination America TV deal. The feeling within TNA is now that the TV deal is done, they can begin working on new talent deals, creative plans for next year and more internal changes, which John Gaburick has been working on.

One of the selling points of Destination America for TNA was that TNA will be an important cornerstone for the network. The deal opens up the possibility for more TNA programming. During negotiations Dixie Carter made it clear that she didn’t want just another 2 hours of Impact Wrestling.

TNA has a hold on the Manhattan Center in New York City for the week of January 6th but they may decide to tape in December and let those holds go. If they tape in December it may be in Michigan. TNA is working out details right now before making a decision whether to tape in December or January.

TNA plans are for a complete reboot of the look and feel of Impact Wrestling from the bottom up when it debuts in January. An official launch date is still being locked in but it could air on Tuesday or Wednesday.

TNA gets a new home

20141119-110028.jpg

As noted earlier the big announcement we had all been waiting for from Dixie Carter was revealed moments ago. The announcement was that TNA officially has a new home. The new home is none other then Destination America. Destination America is a channel known for celebrating and highlighting what makes the good o’l USA unique and what better way to do it then with wrestling?

Looks like Christmas has come early because this announcement is awesome. As someone who’s only been watching TNA for nearly 3 months I am thrilled that they’ll still be able to showcase what they have to offer, and I’m sure when I say that I’m speaking for long time fans as well

There’s a lot of people out there who think TNA is a 2nd rate show but really that’s not the case. Their in ring action is miles better then the stuff you see on Raw and their talent is filled with individuals who have wrestling in their veins.

Now I’m not saying WWE doesn’t have that. What I’m saying is the TNA roster does what they do for the LOVE of wrestling and nothing more, and that’s something that shows in the “6 sided ring”

So here’s to a bright future for TNA. Maybe now with this new tv deal people will wake up and see that it’s not just about the WWE. TNA is scheduled to air on Destination America stating January 2015. Talk about starting off the year with a bang

Report: TNA Signing With A New Network

20141029-150406.jpg

PWInsider reports that multiple sources within TNA have reported to them that TNA is really finished with Spike TV and is expected to announce a new network soon.

TNA’s reported new TV deal is real close to completed, if it’s not signed already. The new deal will reportedly be a multi-year deal. Details of TNA’s new TV deal are unknown right now but they will reportedly be able to have more programming than just Impact Wrestling on the new network.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio last week that officials at Destination America believe a deal with TNA was completed. Destination America is a channel in the Discovery Network that is available in 52% of the country. Meltzer noted that the number is actually high, because it counts all the subscribers for a service like DirecTV, even though it’s only available on the higher tier packages. The highest rated show in the history of Destination America has only done around 40,000 viewers.

According to PWInsider, this Wednesday’s episode of Impact Wrestling on Spike may be TNA’s last episode on that network.
