On last night’s WWE RAW there was an injury angle during Jason Jordan’s win over Bray Wyatt, used to write Jordan off the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view card for Sunday. Wyatt injured the knee of Jordan during the match and later furthered the injury in a post-match attack. RAW Team Captain and General Manager Kurt Angle later removed Jordan from the match and was about to name a replacement when he was interrupted by Jordan, who pleaded with Angle not to replace him. Stephanie McMahon came out onto the stage and told Angle to make the announcement and then Triple H, came out and named himself as the fifth member of Team RAW. Triple H then hit Jordan with a Pedigree.

It is Cena’s first match since losing to Roman Reigns at WWE No Mercy in late September. Cena had been rumored to be the special referee for the Jinder Mahal vs. Brock Lesnar match at the pay-per-view, but those plans apparently changed after WWE had Mahal drop the WWE Championship to AJ Styles on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live.

Randy Orton On Why He Checked On Shane McMahon’s Son, DDP Praises Orton’s RKO

Source: stillrealtous.com

The Commissioner of SmackDown Live, Shane McMahon, went into battle with his troops on Sunday night, and Shane was taken out of the match by Roman Reigns. Shane set Reigns up for Coast to Coast, and Reigns countered with a massive spear in midair that caused Shane McMahon to hit the mat hard.

It was announced that Shane McMahon had been eliminated from the match, and then medical officials made their way into the ring to check on him. Shane McMahon was then helped to the back, and he looked pretty out of it as he was leaving the ringside area.

While Shane McMahon was being checked on, Randy Orton rolled out the ring to go comfort Shane’s son who was sitting in the front row.

Randy Orton received a lot of praise on social media for checking on Shane’s kid, and he let his followers know that he was just doing what he felt needed to be done.

As of this writing WWE has yet to make any official announcements in regards to Shane McMahon’s status, but as Orton noted in his tweet, it was clear to see that s**t went sideways.

Many fans on Twitter noted that they respect Randy Orton’s fatherly instinct after watching the show, but that’s not the only thing the former World Champion is being praised for following Survivor Series.

During the traditional 5-on-5 elimination match, Randy Orton also hit one of his best RKOs to date on Seth Rollins, and you can see it for yourself below.

DDP is no stranger when it comes to the RKO, as he spent years making the move famous while using the Diamond Cutter. The master of the Diamond Cutter took to Twitter to give Orton props for what was an undeniably awesome RKO.

Following his impressive performance at Survivor Series, Randy Orton will be taking some time off, as his wife will be giving birth to a baby girl shortly.

Randy Orton is expected to return at the November 29 SmackDown tapings next week.

Backstage News On Goldberg Vs. Brock Lesnar Rematch, Why Match Was So Short

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Goldberg will definitely work with Brock Lesnar again in a rematch from last night’s Survivor Series pay-per-view, where Goldberg defeated Lesnar in an 86 second match. Meltzer noted that the deal was put together within the past week, and it was something that Lesnar and others pushed for. It was noted that Lesnar saw money in a Goldberg program and didn’t want to end it with one match, and Vince McMahon apparently saw that as well.

As for why the match was so short, Meltzer noted that it wasn’t because of Goldberg being hurt. He said the match was changed to get Goldberg over once he agreed to stay, and the decision was made to do a short match like his short WCW matches that got him over in the first place.

Up until last month, Goldberg had been treating the match as a one-time shot. When speaking to Booker T at the end of October on the Heated Conversations podcast, he noted that while it was a one-match contract, he would consider other opportunities in the business.

“I’m treating it as [a one-shot deal], man,” Goldberg told Booker T. “That’s what they offered. That’s what I accepted. If they wanted more, they would have offered more. So I took the offer when it came to a mutual decision, which I believe was mutually positive for everybody involved. Dude, I treat it was such. I have a one-match contract and I’m taking it like the last match of my career. And the minute after the match is over, I won’t bask in it. I’ll think about what’s next. If it’s anything else in the wrestling world, I’ll consider that. If not, hey, man, it’s not like I’ve been looking for something to do the last 12 years by any means.”

WWE Announces New Model For Their 4 Annual Major Events

Source: ESPN.com

The WWE is set to roll out a new business model around its four annual major events.

Beginning with WrestleMania 33 in April of next year, the organization will bring all their other franchises into that same city, with shows from those brands surrounding the main event.

For example, NXT, Raw and Smackdown Live will bookend WrestleMania in Orlando, SummerSlam in Brooklyn, New York, in August, Survivor Series in Houston in November and a yet-to-be-determined location for Royal Rumble (January 2018).

Fans will be able to purchase a complete package that gets them access the main events and the three other shows.

The WWE has already sold out all the travel packages, ranging from $950 to $5,900 a person for WrestleMania 33. The deal includes a ticket to NXT on April 1, WrestleMania on April 2, Monday Night Raw on April 3 and Smackdown Live on April 4. WrestleMania will take place at the Citrus Bowl while the other three will be at Orlando’s Amway Center. The deal also includes a ticket to the WWE Hall of Fame Induction that Friday, transportation to and from the arena and at least a three-night hotel stay.

The higher-end package also includes a reception with WWE superstars and a visit to the organization’s state-of-the-art performance center.

Individual tickets for WrestleMania go on sale on Nov. 18, while individual tickets for the surrounding events will go on sale at a later date.

Having all the events in one venue helps to streamline ticket sales with so many fans coming from out of town. People in all 50 states and 35 countries attended WrestleMania 32. The idea also helps to pare down costs; the set doesn’t have to be broken down from night to night to move to a new venue.

The decision to surround the WWE’s four tentpole events with shows from the other brand extensions wasn’t made in a vacuum. The WWE tested the concept in Brooklyn at Barclays Center last year, when it surrounded SummerSlam 2015 with sellouts for NXT and Raw. In April this year, the WWE sold out WrestleMania 32, NXT, Raw and the Hall of Fame, all of which took place in Dallas.

The news comes ahead of this weekend’s sold-out Survivor Series in Toronto, which also includes a sold-out Raw and a nearly sold-out NXT show. The 2017 Survivor Series will take place in Houston at the Toyota Center on Nov. 19, 2017. All four events on that weekend will be hosted at that venue.
