Bray Wyatt Delivers Heartfelt Words To Live Fans On WWE SmackDown

Bray Wyatt poured his heart out as he addressed his 18-month absence from the wrestling business on this week’s “WWE SmackDown” in New Orleans, LA.

Wyatt walked through the same shining door as he did at Extreme Rules, with a lantern in hand, and to brand new theme music. However, he wasn’t wearing a mask and was dressed simply in a t-shirt and jeans. Wyatt would then blow out the lamp before greeting some fans in the ringside area.

In the ring, Wyatt was showered with thunderous “Welcome back!” chants as he looked genuinely moved.

“I am incredibly grateful and really, really nervous,” Wyatt began. “I never thought this would happen. This right here, this is just me, OK? This is a version of me I never got to introduce to you guys before. This is just me, genuinely being me for the first time.”

Wyatt then teared up as he touched upon the emotional hurdles he’s had to battle during his time away from WWE.

“I just want to share with you; this past year, I lost a lot of things,” Wyatt said. “I lost my career, I lost my self-confidence, I lost two people who were very, very close to me. And I lost my way. I got to a point where I thought that everything I did here [in WWE] was meaningless. I felt like nothing I ever did mattered to anyone, but I was wrong. Once I was done feeling sorry for myself and went back into the world, all I heard was people saying, ‘Thank you, Bray. When are you coming back home?’ Every once in a while, I would meet some truly remarkable people, who would tell me, ‘Thank you, Bray, I was in a time of need and felt weak but I found your words. I just wanted to thank you for saving my life.'”

At this point, a huge “Thank you Bray” chant broke out at Smoothie King Center, as Wyatt continued to tear up.

“I can sit here and look at all of you and say you were all there when I was weak, vulnerable, and down,” Wyatt continued. “Thank you; you all saved my life. You wouldn’t let me alone. Every time I tried to run away and hide, you would always find me and chase me. You are the reason…”

Suddenly, Wyatt’s speech was cut short and the lights went out. The Wyatt 6 moth logo then appeared on the screen, following which Wyatt’s new creation, introduced at Extreme Rules, spoke directly to him.

“Oh little one, my little one,” said the masked figure. “Come with me, your life is done. Forget the future and the past. Life is over. Breathe your last. You have no idea who you’re dealing with. But you will.”

The show went off the air following the mysterious video. Fans on social media believe the masked figure could be the brains behind the Wyatt 6 stable, which is rumored to include the likes of Bo Dallas, Joe Gacy, Alexa Bliss and Grayson Waller. While, there’s a lot of speculation regarding Wyatt’s new character, and whether he’ll actually be part of a stable, we could get more answers during next week’s “SmackDown” in Toledo, Ohio.

Former And Current WWE Stars Rumored For Bray Wyatt’s New Stable

Bray Wyatt made his return to WWE at the end of Extreme Rules 2022 to a chorus of “Holy s***” chants, as this was the first time a live audience had seen the three-time world champion since Night Two of WrestleMania 37. The return also strengthened the rumors that Wyatt will once again have a faction around him, as mysterious individuals wearing costumes resembling characters from Wyatt’s previous Firefly Funhouse segments appeared in the crowd. The stable is rumored to be known as the Wyatt 6, playing into Wyatt’s current name and handle on Twitter.

In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer seemingly confirmed that the Wyatt 6 is in WWE’s immediate plans, and suggested several names that have been discussed to portray the various characters. These include at least two call-ups from “NXT” — Joe Gacy, who is currently leading a faction known as Schism and whose character has been frequently compared to Wyatt, as Huskus the Pig Boy, and Grayson Waller as Mercy the Buzzard, potentially identified by his Hawaiian shirt at Extreme Rules. There are also rumors that former Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan will be playing Rambling Rabbit, though Meltzer emphasized that these are just rumors, while Bo Dallas, Wyatt’s real-life brother who is reportedly making his return to WWE, could be playing The Fiend himself.

As for Sister Abigail/Abby the Witch, who has been part of Wyatt’s mythology since the character’s beginnings, the names mentioned by Meltzer include Alexa Bliss, who famously transformed into a dark supernatural character aligned with Wyatt during his most recent run (and turned on him during his last WWE match), and Liv Morgan, who seemed to tease a darker side to her character when she smiled while being choked out by Ronda Rousey at Extreme Rules.

New White Rabbit QR Code – ‘Let Me In’ Message Featured, Plus A Teaser Video Airs On WWE SmackDown

Another QR code aired on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, with this one strongly hinting at the return of “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt.

During the opening segment of the show, Triple H cut a brief promo to welcome everyone to the season premiere of SmackDown. There was a QR code on his microphone, which leads to a video that you can view below.

In the video, the same pig cartoon from previous videos is featured, this time with “Let Me In” playing repeatedly. Of course, “Let Me In” is the catchphrase Bray Wyatt often used during his time in WWE as “The Fiend.”

The Wyatt teases didn’t end with just a QR code on this week’s show held in Worcester, Massachusetts. For the first time ever, a white rabbit teaser video actually played on television, as a white rabbit was shown running through a forest until a giant portal in the ground opened up, causing him to fall into the rabbit hole. This was followed by a few riddles and the text “Tomorrow Night” and “10.8.22” flashing through the screen, confirming earlier reports that the big white rabbit unveil will take place this Saturday at the Extreme Rules event in Philadelphia. The video ended with the text “Feed Your Head.”

That’s not all. According to fans at the DCU Center, a person in a white rabbit costume was seen randomly walking around the arena during Friday’s show. Plus the person in the white rabbit costume was seen sitting behind the announce table.

If Wyatt does indeed show up Saturday, it remains to be seen he returns as “The Fiend” or introduces the wrestling world to a brand new character.

The Viking Raiders Reportedly Taken Off TV Due To Injury

WWE has been heavily pushing The Viking Raiders in recent months, but the former “Raw” and “NXT” Tag Team Champions haven’t been seen in recent weeks on “WWE SmackDown.” Unfortunately, that is due to an injury, as the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the Raiders have been sidelined for an indefinite period of time due to Erik suffering a foot problem.

The exact details on Erik’s injury, when he suffered it, and how long he is going to be on the shelf, remain unclear at this point, but his tag team partner, Ivar, remains healthy. However, as happens often in the tag team division, it appears that WWE is going to be keeping Ivar off television until his tag team partner is fit to compete, and they can be presented as a team once again.

Recently, The Viking Raiders have been feuding with The New Day, spending several weeks attacking Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, a storyline that came after several victories against Shanky and Jinder Mahal. Their rivalry culminated in the first-ever “Viking Rules” match, which saw lots of themed weapons, and part of a Viking boat set up around the ring. Ivar and Erik won that match on the August 26th episode of “SmackDown,” but since then have not appeared on television or at live events, suggesting it may have been that match in which Erik injured his foot.

Their absence was notable in the main event of “SmackDown” last week, where The New Day faced The Brawling Brutes, Imperium, and Hit Row in a number one contender’s match for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships. Despite the fact that the Raiders have been dominating Kingston and Woods, it was The New Day who got to be part of the match, while the Raiders went unmentioned in the broadcast.

WWE SmackDown Preview 9/23/2022, Bray Wyatt?

Tonight’s WWE SmackDown live from Salt Lake City, Utah airing on FOX.

Could Bray Wyatt be making his long-awaited WWE return on tonight’s “WWE SmackDown?” The cryptic hints continue to pile up. Some time last night, Wyatt liked an April 2019 tweet from the late Brodie Lee that reads “Tomorrow there will be more of us.”

In addition to this, a QR code could be seen in the background of a backstage segment on “WWE Raw” this week. The code led to an animation of a rabbit playing the game Hangman. The puzzle’s clue was “Who Killed the World?” and the animation revealed the correct answer to be “You did.” Once the puzzle was solved, the text would change to say “9.23” in “SmackDown” colors, which just so happens to be today’s date.

Speculation began ramping up in recent days as WWE mysteriously began playing the Jefferson Airplane song “White Rabbit” during live events and commercial breaks for television tapings starting last week. While there is nothing confirming that the teases have to do with Wyatt, there’s no denying the song suits his character and style from throughout his WWE run, and the strange hints are certainly on-brand for Wyatt.

Fans also spotted several possible easter eggs on the poster for the upcoming “Extreme Rules” premium live event that seem like references to Wyatt. Paul “Triple H” Levesque even teased the possibility of Wyatt’s return in his recent interview with Ariel Helwani.

Wyatt was released by WWE in July of 2021 after an extended period of time off TV. Since that time, Wyatt has stayed relatively quiet, though rumors have swirled concerning his return since Vince McMahon stepped down as head of the company.
