Alberto El Patron Teases ROH & TNA Appearances

During a recent interview with ESPN, Alberto El Patron (Alberto Del Rio) teased some appearances for both ROH and TNA. Here is what he had to say…

“I already talked to my friends from Ring of Honor, and I’m a big fan of that company and their talent. I had a blast a few years ago, and I’m going to have fun with all those guys again pretty soon, as well as doing something with my friends in TNA, especially because my friend Drew McIntyre [Galloway] works for them. I have other friends like Damien [Sandow, a.k.a Aron Rex] and Cody Rhodes. I’m just looking forward to doing an appearance with them pretty soon.”

Cody Rhodes To Work For TNA And ROH

Cody Rhodes will be working for TNA and ROH at the same time, according to the latest Wrestling Observer Radio. Dave Meltzer said that he spoke with Rhodes at PWG’s Battle Of Los Angeles over the weekend.

Rhodes’ deal is unique because wrestlers never work for TNA and ROH at the same time. TNA Wrestlers are allowed to work on the independents but they aren’t allowed to work with a company that has a TV deal. In this case, Rhodes would not be under contract to either company.

He will be working with Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis in TNA and Rhodes’ wife Brandi will be involved in the feud. She did ring announcing for her husband at BOLA. He will be working with several people in ROH but his opponent of choice is Adam Cole. Cody does not have the rights to the “Cody Rhodes” name, he is using it on indy shows but will not be able to use the “Rhodes” name on TV. It’s a shame because the Rhodes name dates back over 50 years. Hopefully, he can work out something with WWE.
