Matt Hardy And Jeff Hardy Offered New WWE Contracts

Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that WWE has offered new contracts to Matt and Jeff Hardy and that “all signs point to an inevitable [WWE] return.”

As we previously reported, Broken Matt is currently battling with Impact Wrestling over the use of his name/gimmick.  The wrestling company believes they should be paid when it’s used, but Hardy doesn’t agree. The brothers are also the current ROH tag champs after signing a short-term deal.

Still no word on whether WWE creative is looking to use their “broken” characters, but the legal side of things probably doesn’t bode well for a chance of that happening immediately.

Update:

PWInsider confirmed reports that Matt and Jeff Hardy have been in talks with WWE, and noted that “it’s a matter or when, not if” the brothers return to the company.

According to PWInsider, the deal is only for Matt and Jeff, and not for Reby or Senor Benjamin. It was noted that one major issue that would have to be worked out is the schedule, as the Hardys likely don’t want a full time schedule.

As seen at the end of last night’s Hardy New Year special edition of TNA Impact Wrestling, it was revealed that Matt Hardy and Reby Sky are expecting their second baby boy in the summer. Below is video from their gender reveal.

It appears the Brother Nero character for Jeff Hardy is no more. On last night’s show there was a segment where Matt took Jeff back to the Dome of Deletion and announced that he had repaid his debt by helping Matt reclaim the TNA Tag Team Titles. Matt then “restored” everything he had taken from Jeff. Matt also tweeted on Jeff’s gimmick:

The Young Bucks threw a party Sunday night for the first appearance of Vanguard 1 in Ring of Honor … only problem, it was a Superkick party.

It all went down at the ROH television taping in Philadelphia after the Bucks cut a promo on Broken Matt Hardy, who will soon wrestle for the company.

The lights went out shortly after and Hardy’s famous drone made his presence known.

As you’ll see in the video below, the crowd goes crazy for Vanguard as he flies over the audience while stalking Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson.

Details On The Young Bucks Signing With ROH And NJPW, The Hardys Vs. The Bucks, TNA – ROH Note

The Young Bucks have signed a new two-year deal that will see them work both Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling, similar to the schedule they’ve worked this year.

The deal will see the brothers receive a significant increase in pay from ROH and NJPW for 2017, then another increase in 2018. They will be allowed to maintain their own merchandise and will be able to give more creative input. The deals are exclusive to the US and Japanese markets but they are still able to work overseas dates that don’t coincide with ROH or NJPW bookings. While exclusive to the US and Japan, the brothers will still be allowed to work for PWG in the US.

It was The Bucks who set the wheels in motion for Matt Hardy’s video at Final Battle, which you can see below with a video of The Bucks signing their new deals. The Hardys vs. The Bucks is currently scheduled for April 1st in Lakeland, FL, the night before WrestleMania 33 in Orlando.

Regarding Matt’s video that aired on pay-per-view this weekend which you can watch below, it was approved by TNA. Brandi Rhodes’ appearance to introduce her husband Cody Rhodes was also approved by TNA.

Dave Meltzer notes that there is nothing to the rumors of The Bucks appearing on TNA TV for the upcoming Total Nonstop Deletion episode, and there’s nothing on paper regarding anyone from ROH working for TNA but it’s very interesting that the two promotions are cooperating.

Matt Hardy Wants To Buy TNA Wrestling

“Broken” Matt Hardy is the hottest thing in TNA night but it looks like “Big Money” Matt is interested in buying TNA Wrestling…at least according to his recent tweets. He certainly has the money do so. Hardy said that he would be interested in buying the company and the first thing he would do is rename the company because of the stigma that comes with the “TNA” name.

For those of you that don’t know, the TNA acronym was thought up by Vince Russo and it was meant to be a play on words for T*** N’ A** when the company was presenting an adult product on their weekly pay-per-views. Many critics have said that the acronym hurts the perception of the company and Billy Corgan has also said that he would change the name if he ended up purchasing the company.

As of now, no sale has taken place with Aroluxe Marketing, Billy Corgan or WWE and they have time since they will be caught up with all of their tapings through December. Jeremy Borash told the fans in Orlando that they are looking forward to the next set of tapings in January so hopefully, the ownership situation gets resolved by then. Honestly, Matt Hardy as the owner of TNA sounds like a good thing.
