Jeff Hardy Update, Jeff & Matt Hardy TNA Deals Expiring Soon

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter Jeff Hardy reportedly needs another surgery on his knee and could be out of the ring until late 2016. The timetable for his return won’t be certain until after he has the surgery. Jeff told his friends that he will have to tone down his wrestling style.

Matt Hardy Got Head Badly Busted Open (Graphic Photos & Video)

Matt Hardy lost the WrestleCade Heavyweight Title to Jeff Jarrett at Saturday’s WrestleCade IV event in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Hardy got his head busted open badly due to a bad guitar shot that didn’t break. Hardy noted on Twitter that he needed 38 stitches and had to be hospitalized overnight for observation.

 

Matt Hardy Vacates TNA Title Following EC3’s Injunction

Matt Hardy announced that he is relinquishing the TNA World Heavyweight Title that he just won Sunday at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view following the legal injunction filed by former champion Ethan Carter III. Hardy said he was doing so in order to get the injunction thrown out. He said he will take back the title the next time he gets in the ring with EC3.

TNA is planning an announcement on the status of the title this afternoon.

TNA Announced The Re-Signing Of A Couple Of Stars

TNA’s John Gaburick announced that Matt Hardy has signed a contract with TNA and that Angelina Love has re-signed with TNA.

Matt Hardy usually charges $1,500, plus hotel & transportation, plus another $300 for his wife Reby Sky for indie appearances. TNA reportedly paid him around double that for his appearance at the Impact taping in New York City this past week.

Matt is not signed to TNA or Ring of Honor, but he wants to continue working for both promotions, even though that might not be possible. It seems Matt is not looking to sign a contract to work as regular in any company. On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio he said that he has made enough money from WWE that he’s financially set for life, but working indies allows him to earn a decent income & stay involved in wrestling.

Matt Hardy is returning to TNA at the TNA Impact tapings in New York City. It will be the first time in 3 years since he has been inside a TNA ring, which is also the last time a match featuring The Hardy’s has been televised. The Hardy’s are one of the most recognizable tag teams of all time.
