Former Impact Wrestling stars Robbie E and Chelsea Green are among the wrestlers attending a tryout this week at the WWE Performance Center.

NXT‘s Instagram account shared videos from the first day and both Chelsea — aka Laurel Van Ness — and Robbie are seen working out with other WWE hopefuls.

As you may recall, Green was on the 2015 season of Tough Enough alongside current NXT/WWE stars Velveteen Dream, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. She made her departure from Impact earlier this year and filmed episodes for the current season of Lucha Underground.

Robbie left Impact in September of last year and has since focused on outside projects related to fitness, while still wrestling on the independent scene.

Both can be seen in the video (Chelsea is in a Disney shirt and Robbie is on the ring apron) at the link below:

Current Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Laurel Van Ness, known on the independent circuit by her real name Chelsea Green, was recently involved in an altercation at an indie show with a fan. Green was competing at a PWA Canada event when spectators reported that a fan shouted at her to “take it off,” basically calling her a stripper.

Green later confronted the fan at a concession stand. The person then got in her face and threatened her, stating that he will call the Hells Angels biker club, and also said that he was going to punch her. After having the confrontation, Green walked away from the fan and turned around to quickly give a few more expressions, as seen in the video below.

According to a fan account, the man walked out of the building after getting embarrassed by Green. Green went to Twitter and commented on the incident:

Fellow indy wrestler Ethan Page, known in Impact Wrestling as Joseph Park’s brother Chandler, also chimed in on the incident, stating that is was “the most Un-Canadian thing to happen in Canada.” Despite this incident, Green still thanked PWA for having her, and stated that he “can’t wait to come back.”

On television, Green, as Lauren Van Ness, is currently feuding with Allie over the Knockouts Championship. She is scheduled to defend the title against Allie at the upcoming Impact Wrestling episode. This match was taped in January, as Green is no longer with the company.

Another Impact Wrestling departure has occurred, as Laurel Van Ness announced that she’s been granted her release from the company.

Van Ness aka Chelsea Green tweeted saying, “I have been granted my release, am excited for the future, and I can’t wait to see what 2018 holds.”

She also wrote: “THANK YOU Impact Wrestling. I will always be grateful for the opportunities I received, and the people who had faith in me. Thanks to everyone both in front of, and behind the camera, the production team, and most importantly my fellow Knockouts. I have grown as a wrestler, and a performer because of the amazing locker room at Impact.”

Green was signed to a contract in 2016 but really began to take off as a character the following year due to her messy, not married, drunken, maniacal bride gimmick.

According to Squared Circle Sirens, Van Ness asked for her release back in November.

It was reported back in early December that Laurel Van Ness had requested her release film Impact Wrestling. Van Ness didn’t let Impact Wrestling management know about her plans until well after they booked her to win the Knockouts Championship on those tapings. Van Ness, who signed with the company last year, is looking to leave Impact wrestling as soon as her current deal with the organization runs out. During an interview with The Orlando Sentinel, it was revealed that she’s under contract with Impact through June 2018.
