Rusev Pressing Charges Against Memphis Sheraton Over Theft From Room

Pro Wrestling Sheet has confirmed Rusev filed a police report this week after $500, his wallet and a camera were allegedly taken from the hotel room in Memphis where he was staying.

Rusev tweeted on Monday, “Thank you [Sheraton Hotel] Memphis for “cleaning” the room and stealing my wife camera and my money from my wallet.”

The following day, Paige tweeted about the same hotel with similar accusations.

“If you’re in the Memphis area don’t EVER stay at the [Sheraton Memphis] it’s literally the worst,” the SmackDown Live GM wrote. “Things stolen, bad customer service and room service takes two hours just for a salad and WE are the inconvenience. Ugh. The worst.”

We reached out to the hotel due to the allegations made and a hotel operator told us “no comment” before a manager would get on the phone.

Rusev subsequently replied Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin’s tweet saying he filed a police report and plans to press charges. “Dig in. I’m prosecuting. Especially after the head of security said it’s my fault for living [leaving] my stuff in the room.” He also claims there was a “do not disturb” sign on the door.

According to the Memphis PD, Rusev told officers he and Lana left their room around 12:30 pm. When he returned around 1:10 pm, however, the money was missing from his wallet. Plus, Lana’s camera was gone. “The head of Security Kennen Brooks spoke with the victim and advised,” reads the statement from police. “No other Suspect information is available at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.”

Reason Why WWE Is Pushing Lana Heavily Once Again

Lana’s participation in the upcoming Women’s Money In The Bank Match is an interesting decision. She defeated Billie Kay with 2 moves on SmackDown Live to earn her spot and some fans are concerned about her being in this kind of match.

It was noted on Backstage In WWE that Vince McMahon wants to push Lana so that’s why it’s taking place when Brad Shepard continued to state a case against Lana wrestling while explaining why she’s getting this push as a part of Rusev Day.

“I mean she sucks in the ring but she’s over and the fans love her so when she comes out and wins she’s over. She’s a great package with Rusev you know that’s where she should be. Not every woman on the roster needs to wrestle,”

Although Lana might not have much of a chance in the Money In The Bank match at least she’s training for possible spots so she’ll be as prepared as possible. But it looks like she could only be in the match so Rusev Day will have a representation in the Women’s Money In The Bank match.

Rusev Was Added Back To Casket Match At Greatest Royal Rumble Against The Undertaker

WWE issued the following on Rusev being added back to the Casket Match at Greatest Royal Rumble against The Undertaker:

In a stunning turn of events, The Undertaker will battle Rusev in a Casket Match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia on Friday, April 27.

Originally, the Casket Match was set to be between the two Superstars, but Lana asked for The Bulgarian Brute to be removed from the grisly bout, and he was replaced with Chris Jericho, as The Ravishing Russian expressed concern over her husband taking on The Demon of Death Valley. And for good reason.

After all, the Casket Match undoubtedly belongs to The Undertaker, as The Deadman has claimed victory in several of these harrowing contests, wherein a Superstar only wins when he gets his opponent into the casket and closes the lid.

However, now it appears that Lana’s faith in the tremendous ability of her husband has won out, and she has changed her mind. She explained, via tweet, that WWE officials have granted her request to allow Rusev to compete against The Phenom at the Greatest Royal Rumble event, after all.

How Long Rusev Is Expected Out Of Action, Will Lana Get More WWE Ring Time While He’s Away?

Rusev underwent shoulder surgery on March 9th. Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that he is scheduled to be out of action for around two months, which means he will miss WrestleMania 33 in Orlando.

It appears Rusev was injured before his March 5th WWE Fastlane loss to Big Show as he’s needed the surgery for some time. The surgery is why he lost to Big Show and why the team with Jinder Mahal was quickly ended. Rusev’s absence may lead to more ring time for Lana as his injury is why she was sent back to WWE NXT and the WWE Performance Center last week.

As seen in the photos below, Rusev, Lana and other Total Divas cast members are in Malibu for their wedding on the beach. This is the wedding that is being filmed for Total Divas.

The photos also show that former WWE NXT stars Veronica Lane and Devin Taylor made the trip.

Lana’s Real Life Christian Beliefs Being Worked Into Her WWE Storyline With Rusev

Lana (C.J. Perry) is working some realism into her her WWE storyline with her real life fiance Rusev (Miroslav Barnyashev). C.J Perry spent several years of her childhood in the Latvian Soviet Socialist Republic in the Soviet Union, where her father worked as a Christian missionary. Perry and her family remained in Latvia after it declared its independence from the Soviet Union in 1990. Perry returned to the U.S. at the age of 17.

In the video below Lana & Rusev sit down for a interview with Michael Cole where they discuss their upcoming marriage. Lana reveals that she is saving herself for marriage.

Lana issues statement on injury 

  It is being reported that WWE diva Lana sustained a wrist injury while training for her first in ring match. Word going around is that there was suppose to be a mixed tag match at Night of Champions pinning Lana and Ziggler to go up against the team of Rusev and Summer Rae. Now due to Lana’s injury that won’t be the case.

Lana took to Twitter and Instagram to address her injury. She had this to say: “I have dedicated my entire life to becoming the best sports entertainer I could be. Ever since I have debuted in @wwe I have continued to go to @wwenxt & come hours early before live events to train & learn how to fight. I wanted my first match to make the #WWE Universe proud. My wrist fracture is proof that WWE & professional wrestling is not fake but very real. This is a bump in the road & can be discouraging but for every person that has believed in me and has ever chanted #WeWantLana I will keep going. From here forward I will share every part of my journey to my first match. Thank you to every fan that has cheered for me & chanted my name, you all give me the strength to be brave. I will continue to give everything I have to becoming one of the greatest women in WWE & entertainment.”

Big Push Coming For Lana?

According to F4WOnline, Vince McMahon is super-high on Lana and reportedly has big plans for her.

I’m guessing the plans will include her competing as a wrestler since it looks like she and Rusev have parted ways. It will be great to finally see her in the ring competing with the other women of the WWE.

Update On Lana’s WrestleMania 31 Status

There was talk at last night’s RAW that Lana will definitely be appearing at WrestleMania 31 with United States Champion Rusev. Lana is currently away filming WWE Studios’ Interrogation and WWE is using her absence to tease tension between her and Rusev. Michael Cole brought up potential issues between the two last night on RAW. Lana is still being included in new graphics to promote Sunday’s WrestleMania 31 pay-per-view.

Where’s Lana? Will She Miss WrestleMania 31?

“The Ravishing Russian” Lana didn’t appear this past Thursday on SmackDown, last night on RAW or other WWE live events because she’s filming WWE Studios’ action-thriller Interrogation with WWE Hall of Fame Adam “Edge” Copeland.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reports that Lana is expected to be off WWE TV for a few weeks. There is no word yet is Lana will miss WrestleMania 31. It’s always possible they could bring Lana from the movie set to WrestleMania for an angle.
