Chris Jericho Cruise Security Cracks Down On Fan Photos During Bullet Club Vs. Alpha Club

Image result for Bullet Club Vs. Alpha Club

Chris Jericho’s cruise set sail out of Miami, Florida last Friday and featured a full lineup of events, including the “Sea of Honor” 16-Man Tournament and the Bullet Club (Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, and Marty Scurll) vs. Alpha Club (Young Bucks and Chris Jericho) as the main event.

The 6-man tag match took place last night and Wrestling Inc. learned signs were held up and an announcement was made for fans not to take photos or videos of the match. Security was even shining flashlights and telling individual fans to stop if they held up their phones. For other matches on the cruise, this wasn’t the case.

This match (along with the “Sea of Honor” tournament) was filmed and will be streamed via Fite on November 3 at 8pm ET for $24.99. Obviously, the results and match itself is trying to be kept quiet for Friday’s stream.

Some photos still made their way to Twitter though, as you can see below, Jericho dressed up like The Young Bucks, while Cody, Kenny (and presumably Marty) were wearing colorful “Nassau Bahamas” tie-dye shirts.

Cody Rhodes Says He’s Not In Bullet Club, Transitioning To A New Role In Pro Wrestling?

Related image

The much talked about free agency of about half the Bullet Club continues to gain stream through not only the ticking countdown and WWE related notes from “H” on Being the Elite, but through social media, as well.

Earlier this month, The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes, Marty Scurll, and Adam Page tweeted out somewhat similar words about selling their “final Bullet Club style shirt” while adding, “it also might be my favorite.” The group looks to be distancing themselves for either a move to WWE or staying put and simply working under their own group name, like “The Elite.”

Today, Cody wrote he’s “100% not in the Bullet Club” during a fan Q&A on Twitter. Also noting at this month’s NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling the “new” Bullet Club was featured with Jay White, Gedo, and Jado joining up with the Bullet Club “OGs” and he wasn’t involved at all in that segment.

To add to Rhodes’ comments, Tama Tonga tweeted out the below photo yesterday, making it pretty clear who’s in the group.

Somewhat separate from this story is Rhodes losing the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship back to Nick Aldis in a two-out-of-three falls match over the weekend at NWA 70 in Nashville, Tennessee.

On Instagram, Rhodes commented on the success of the event and thanked the fans who tuned in. Rhodes also said he’s beginning to “transition to a new role in pro wrestling.” We most likely won’t know what that new role is until the new year.

“As I begin a transition to a new role in pro-wrestling, I hope all the fans who’ve discovered the NWA recently…stay on board and continue to watch the likes of Nick Aldis, Avalon, Willie Mack, Jazz and many more. As I continue my remaining dates with the good folks at ROH, I’d like to thank them and The NWA for allowing me to cross imaginary lines and give the fans something special!”

Tama Tonga Talks Who Made The Call For The Attack On Bullet Club, Who’s The Leader, Firing Squad

Image result for Firing Squad attack on Bullet Club

Tama Tonga spoke with Sports Illustrated’s Extra Mustard section after last weekend’s G1 Special where he (along with Tonga Loa and Haku) attacked a majority of the Bullet Club. Here are some of the highlights:

What caused the attack at the G1 Special:

“This has been a long time coming. Kenny Omega started a subgroup, ‘The Elite,’ within Bullet Club. No one is the head of Bullet Club, no one ever has been, and we had a self-proclaimed leader focusing on his own ‘Super Kliq’ or whatever else nerd ass name it’s called. This war was sparked the moment ‘The Elite’ was formed.”

His goal with Bullet Club:

“My goal, my sole focus, is to straighten out Bullet Club. Take it back and push it forward. Wherever that takes me, that’s where I’ll go, whether that’s the G1 final or a match with Kenny. People still don’t know what Bullet Club is, but in due time, everyone will understand.”

Who’s the leader of Bullet Club and the status of Firing Squad:

“I am not the leader of Bullet Club. Fale, me, and Loa, we are the leaders of Bullet Club, and anyone that’s with us. We are not ‘Firing Squad,’ we are Bullet Club, the Bullet Club. ‘Firing Squad’ only arrives when there is bulls— and betrayal.”

Who made the call for the attack:

“[Bad Luck] Fale is the one who made the call. You’ll all find that out soon. Rank is how Japan is run, and that’s how Bullet Club—true Bullet Club—is run. Not egotistical clowns running around, shouting ‘Look at me!’ True Bullet Club is discipline and order. The ones putting in the work day in and day out in Japan, we were cast away. We tried, over time, to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it kept getting worse. The ideals of Bullet Club working together, being a team, and watching each other’s backs was no longer what we stood for. We were a divided club. It was just too much to ignore.”

Tonga also discussed more on Cody Rhodes and Kenny Omega. You can check out the full interview by clicking here.

Being The Elite (Episode 101): NJPW G1 Fallout

Below is episode 101 (“Family Dinner”) of Being the Elite. The episode features the aftermath of the NJPW G1 Special (full results here) where Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Haku attacked the other Bullet Club members. Also, after Kenny Omega defeated Cody, it looked like the two had buried the hatchet. Here’s a recap of the episode:

* In his hotel room, Chris Jericho says goodbye to The Young Bucks and finds out Marty Scurll had been hanging in his closet to ask if he could join him and The Young Bucks to become the fourth member of The Alpha Club. Scurll then tries to recruit Jericho into The Villain Club, but Jericho is writing on something, not a list – because WWE owns that – he’s just writing some notes about Scurll. Jericho has zero interest and asks him to leave his room, Scurll tries to go back into the closet, but eventually leaves. Jericho then says quietly to the camera, “He just made the list!”

* Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks make it to the Cow Palace for the NJPW G1 Special. Cody does rehearsals for his entrance where he was carried to the ring.

* Matt Jackson tries to talk some sense into Cody and let’s him know the group still loves him and to be safe in his title match against Omega. Cody looks to have mixed feelings about all of this.

* SoCal Uncensored is really not happy to be in Virgnia, they talk some trash about George Mason not signing the Constitution.

* Omega speaks with Matt and Nick before their match and the two look a little stressed. They ask Omega how he broke the “5 Star Scale,” they’ve tried everything, but can’t do it. “It’s no secret that critics love a very long ass singles match, so you guys are already at a disadvantage,” Omega responds. He then says the secret is psychology.

* Adam Page apparently has two personalities and they argue over him taking out Joey Ryan. Page ends up beating himself up and it looks like the bad side is the only one left.

* Matt talks with Kenny and says he thinks there is still some good in Cody. Kenny says he’s just going to have a match, Matt laughs and replies not to hurt him too bad.

* Flashback to last week when Nick has a premonition: “Something bad’s gonna happen.” Clips are shown of Tonga, Loa, and Haku attacking the Bullet Club after the G1 Special main event.

* After the show, The Bucks, Page, Omega, and Scurll are eating in a hotel room. Cody knocks on the door and limps in. Kenny ends up moving over on the couch to give him a spot and hands him some food. Dejected, the group sits in silence until Cody says, “So, how are we going to make these motherf—— pay?…And what the hell is Haku’s problem?”

Kenny Omega And The Young Bucks Tease Potential Match With The New Day On ‘Being The Elite’ (Video)

new day being the elite match teased kenny omega young bucks

WWE’s The New Day appeared alongside Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks in the latest episode of Being The Elite … but if that wasn’t enough to work you into a frenzy, a potential wrestling match between the two teams was also teased.

Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods are involved in a standoff with Omega and The Bucks ahead of their Street Fighter V showdown at EC3 at the top of this week’s show.

The most interesting moment happens at the end of the video, however, as Omega touts his victory over New Day and Nick Jackson questions if there’s something “better” they can defeat them at.

“The fans want it.  I know I want it,” Nick tells Kenny and Matt.  “We’re three athletes: think about it.  We can beat them at something else.”

“It would have to be neutral ground,” Kenny responds.

Matt mentions a wrestling match … but the video ends and we’re left hanging!

It’s worth noting Triple H said last week that WWE would be open to inter-promotional opportunities with other companies.  WWE also hyped The Bucks and Omega on their social channels last week.  Is this impossible dream match becoming more probable?

Watch the latest episode of Being The Elite below. The match tease happens in the last minute or so.

Below is episode 98 (“Strong Style Evolved”) of Being the Elite. We see some of the backstage footage surrounding Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi vs. The Young Bucks. At the event, after The Young Bucks lost to Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi, Cody came out, yelled at Matt Jackson and shoved Nick Jackson to the ground. In the back, Cody apologized to The Young Bucks, but Nick told Matt and Marty Scurll, “I don’t think we can trust this guy.”
