Details On Backstage Altercation Between Brock Lesnar & Chris Jericho At SummerSlam

Source: Pro Wrestling Sheet

The backstage altercation between Brock Lesnar and Chris Jericho did indeed go down last after SummerSlam … and The Beast made a few statements during the encounter that would’ve caused any average man to piss himself.

Sources tell Pro Wrestling Sheet that Jericho was acting as a locker room leader who truly believed Brock had attacked Randy Orton during the main event, and Y2J was looking for answers.

We’re told Chris was repeatedly asking for clarification from everyone in the Gorilla position, but wasn’t getting answers because backstage footage was still being shot by crew members.

Brock, however, heard Jericho say this was “bullsh*t” and loudly told the longtime wrestler that this was none of his business. That set Y2J off and he continued asking questions, causing Lesnar to push him. When that happened, Jericho rushed in and tried getting face-to-face with The Beast.

We’re told Brock kissed him on the forehead at that point … then said, “kiss me back, p*ssy.”

Our sources say Jericho didn’t back down though! He actually stepped up and got in Lesnar’s face, ready to fight. But Brock responded, with his arms behind his back, saying “hit me or kiss me, bitch” … causing everyone in the area to swarm in and break them apart, including Triple H.

Things didn’t calm down though, and Vince McMahon eventually rushed in to usher Brock away, while yelling at Chris to be more professional. Jericho fired back at his boss, saying Lesnar was the unprofessional one who started “shooting” on his co-worker … to which Vince replied, “It’s a work! What’s wrong with you?!” implying the blood job was planned in some way.

Shortly after, the two sides went their separate ways backstage.

One source tells us they believe Jericho had all the right intentions, but many believe he handled things completely wrong due to his role as one of the longest tenured members of the roster.

Goldberg Calls Out Brock Lesnar (Video)

Source: WrestlingINC

Former WWE and WCW World Heavyweight Champion Bill Goldberg was at Gamescom 2016 today in Cologne, Germany. You can check out his Q&A in the video above, below are some highlights:

Goldberg said that he should be on the cover because he “killed the guy [Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XX] that’s on the cover.”

The fans chanted “please come back,” and Goldberg said that for them, he’ll see what he can do.

Goldberg added that he’s headed to New York City, and “that’s all [he] can say about that.” He said that you can never say never, and even at his age he has no issue putting his gear on and “ripping people’s faces off again.” He said he just needs the opportunity to do it. He told the fans to keep doing what they’re doing and it will happen.

Goldberg said he’ll do everything in his power to give the fans what he wants. He said he may be 49 years old, but he’s ready to go at any time anywhere, and all he needs is the call.

Goldberg was asked point blank when he’ll be back in WWE. Goldberg said that he honestly has no idea and doesn’t know if it will ever happen. He said every time there’s a WrestleMania or SummerSlam and people are expecting him, from the bottom of his heart, it’s not up to him. He said not to take it out on him because it’s not up to him.

He was asked about Brock Lesnar. Goldberg said that Brock knows how he feels about him. He noted that they’ve been in the ring and while they didn’t have the best match, Brock knows his power. He said that’s what is missing is someone giving Brock the fight like he gives to everyone else. Goldberg says that Brock knows what would happen, he knows where he lives, and the same thing will happen to Brock that happened at WrestleMania XX.

Goldberg said that he never turns down a challenge and they deserve to see that match. Check out the video below:

WWE On Why Brock Lesnar Will Not Be Punished For UFC Failed Drug Test

Source: WrestlingINC

A WWE spokesperson has confirmed to TMZ that WWE will not discipline Brock Lesnar whatsoever for failing two different drug tests prior to his UFC 200 bout against Mark Hunt.

According to TMZ, the spokesperson stated that “only full-time WWE performers are subject to the organization’s wellness policy, which prohibits PEDs … but since Brock isn’t a full-time performer, he’s essentially exempt.”

Lesnar tested positive for Clomiphene in both failures, which is an estrogen blocker meant to increase testosterone.

According to the spokesperson, WWE is not a regulated athletic competition, and that because Brock does not work a full time schedule he is exempt from these rules. A source noted to TMZ that the rules are only in place to keep full-time performers healthy.

Lesnar will return to the ring to face Randy Orton at WWE SummerSlam on August 21st, and will also make his first appearance since WrestleMania 31 on next week’s episode of RAW.

Possible Substance Brock Lesnar Tested Positive For

Source: WrestlingINC

UFC announced  that Brock Lesnar failed a second drug test related to his UFC 200 fight win over Mark Hunt, an in-competition drug test. In-competition is considered in the 12-hour window before and after the fight. Lesnar previously failed an out-of-competition drug test from a June 28th sample taken by the US Anti-Doping Agency.

Lesnar failed both tests for the same banned substance and according to LA Timeswriter Lance Pugmire, Lesnar tested positive for estrogen blocker Clomiphene. This is the same substance Jon Jones previously tested positive for and is common among bodybuilders looking to increase testosterone while cycling off of steroids.

New York State Statement On Brock Lesnar’s Participation At WWE Summerslam

Source: WrestlingINC

The New York Department of State, the body that governs the New York State Athletic Commission, issued the following statement to WrestlingINC.com in regards to questions about whether the NYSAC would prevent Brock Lesnar from performing at WWE Summerslam in Brooklyn, New York, on August 21. Due to a potential violation of USADA policy, related to drug-testing for his fight at UFC 200, Lesnar may be suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission. There have been questions about whether New York, which also regulates pro wrestling, would enforce that suspension at Summerslam.

In 2002, New York State passed legislation that scaled back the regulation of “professional wrestling” in many respects based on a recognition that the activity is entertainment rather than bona-fide athletic competition. Under current New York State law, “professional wrestling” is defined as wrestling “primarily for the purpose of providing entertainment to spectators and which does not comprise a bona fide athletic contest or competition” (NY Unconsolidated Laws section 8928-b[1]). As such, the State does not license individual wrestlers, and Mr. Lesnar is not a licensee of the New York State Athletic Commission. In the context of “professional wrestling,” as defined above, the State licenses only the promoter, such as the WWE. Per New York law, among other health and safety requirements that apply to the licensing of a promoter, the event promoter is required to have a physician examine each wrestler and determine whether each wrestler is medically fit to participate. The question of whether Mr. Lesnar is fit to participate in a “professional wrestling” event is one that will be determined by the application of the professional medical judgment of the examining physician, the policies of the WWE, and the choices made by Mr. Lesnar with regard to his own participation leading up to the event date.

It seems the state is confirming it wouldn’t prevent Lesnar from participating in pro wrestling events such as WWE Summerslam due to an MMA suspension, because New York doesn’t license individual wrestlers, and his participation is merely up to the physician, WWE and Lesnar himself.

New York requires all pro wrestling events to have a medical physician present, who determines whether wrestlers are medically fit to participate. WWE provides their own ringside physicians, such as Dr. Chris Amann.

Breaking News: Brock Lesnar Flagged By USADA For Potential Doping Violation

Via WWE The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Brock Lesnar of a potential policy violation, stemming from an out-of-competition sample collected on June 28, 2016, according to a statement released by UFC on Friday afternoon and reported on by ESPN and other news sources
The UFC released the following statement

“The UFC organization was notified today that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Brock Lesnar of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collection on June 28, 2016. USADA received the testing results from the June 28, 2016 sample collection from the WADA-accredited UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory on the evening of July 14, 2016.
“USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case. It is important to note that, under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full fair legal review process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed. The Nevada State Athletic Commission also retains jurisdiction over this matter as the sample collection was performed in close proximity to Lesnar’s bout at UFC 200 in Las Vegas.
“Consistent with all previous potential anti-doping violations, additional information will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward

Brock Lesnar has not performed for WWE since WrestleMania and is not scheduled to return until Sunday, Aug. 21.

Brock Lesnar Still Under Contract To UFC, Will Continue To Be Drug Tested By USADA

Source: WrestlingINC

Brock Lesnar is still under contract to UFC, according to MMAFighting.com. It’s been reported, and stated by Dana White, that Lesnar’s future in the Octagon depends on Vince McMahon and WWE as Lesnar is still under contract to WWE but MMAFighting.com has confirmed, via UFC officials, that Lesnar is also still signed to a UFC deal.

Because Lesnar is still under a UFC deal, he will continue to be drug tested by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency as a part of UFC’s anti-doping policy. USADA spokesperson Ryan Madden confirmed that Lesnar will continue to be tested until he informs them that he is retired from UFC competition.

UFC rules state that a fighter must inform the promotion 4 months in advance if he or she is coming out of retirement, so they can be placed into the USADA testing pool. In a controversial move, this rule was waived by UFC for Lesnar’s UFC 200 return but he was tested 6 times in the 4 weeks leading up to the event, but was not required to do the 4 months of testing. Lesnar received the exemption because he didn’t retire while USADA was overseeing UFC’s anti-doping policy, and because a long time had passed since Lesnar left the promotion. Lesnar was essentially treated as if he were a new athlete that just signed with the company.

There’s still no word yet on Lesnar’s UFC future but there have been rumors this week that he is eyeing another fight later this year or early 2017. Lesnar returns to the ring for WWE on August 21st at SummerSlam, against Randy Orton.
