AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts Will Reportedly Be A One Match Show

Last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite saw the continued war of words between The Pinnacle and Inner Circle. The Pinnacle – Inner Circle parley is set for next week as the two teams build to a big Blood and Guts match on May 5.

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the May 5 episode of Dynamite will be a one-match show with just the Blood and Guts match. There will likely be pre-taped segments throughout the episode, but the episode will be centered around the Blood and Guts match.

WarGames matches are typically long, and with a five-on-five format, the match could see a long run time. The last WarGames matches on NXT both lasted over half an hour. The women’s WarGames match went over 35 minutes, and the men’s WarGames match went over 45 minutes. The matches were competed in a four-on-four format.

The Elite was originally supposed to face Inner Circle in a Blood and Guts match, but the COVID-19 pandemic put a halt to that match taking place. There is no word yet on any other details on Blood and Guts.

Young Bucks Turn On Jon Moxley, Join Kenny Omega And The Good Brothers On AEW Dynamite

The Young Bucks are once again aligned with Kenny Omega.

Last night’s AEW Dynamite main event saw Matt and Nick Jackson team with Jon Moxley to take on Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers. The two trios had a competitive match throughout, with underlying tension between the Bucks and Omega. Matt Jackson consistently hesitated to hit Omega with moves, including a strike and a superkick.

The climax of the contest saw the Bucks line Omega up for the BTE Trigger, but never execute. Moxley shouted at the Bucks on the outside and eventually enter the ring himself. Moxley hit Omega with two Paradigm Shifts, locked him in a sleeper hold, and lined up for a third, but was hit with two superkicks before he could land the DDT.

Post match, the conflicted Bucks ended up superkicking Moxley yet again, and then hugged Omega and the Good Brothers to close the show.

Matt and Nick Jackson previously teased reuniting with their former Bullet Club stablemates at the end of the January 6 edition of Dynamite, where the five Too Sweet’d to close the show. From there, Omega and the Bucks have had a complicated relationship, as the AEW Tag Team Champions have constantly showed their distaste and disapproval of Don Callis, Omega’s manager. During a March edition of Dynamite, the Bucks saved Jon Moxley from a Kenny Omega-led beat-down, and even walked out on the Best Bout Machine’s attempt to bury the hatchet.

Mike Tyson Saves Chris Jericho On AEW Dynamite

“The Baddest Man on the Planet” Mike Tyson and “The Demo God” Chris Jericho have put the past behind them and formed an alliance.

It all went down on latest edition of AEW Dynamite on TNT.

At one point during the show, The Inner Circle came to blows with MJF and his cronies, aka The Pinnacle.

The Pinnacle seemed to have the upper hand, until boxing legend Mike Tyson made the save.

Tyson last appeared on Dynamite back in May of 2020 when he got into a wild altercation with Jericho. Luckily for Jericho, Tyson doesn’t hold a grudge, and the two men shook hands in the ring while they celebrated with the rest of The Inner Circle.

In case you missed it, AEW president Tony Khan announced Tyson’s appearance in a recent interview with Sports Illustrated.

“He made a huge impact last year at Double or Nothing, and we’re at a point where we can bring him back in front of our fans. The fans who have come to the shows in Jacksonville have added so much to AEW, and it’s important for me that our fans get to see him live. We’re excited to have Mike back,” Khan said of Tyson’s return to the world of pro-wrestling.

Kris Statlander And Trent Return From Injury On AEW Dynamite

Kris Statlander and Trent returned from injury on tonight’s AEW Dynamite.

The main event of tonight’s show was an Arcade Anarchy Match featuring Miro and Kip Sabian vs. Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor. Part-way through the match, Penelope Ford got involved, but was quickly put down when Kris Statlander popped out of an arcade machine and attacked her.

Statlander has been out of action since last June with an ACL tear.

Near the end of the match, a familiar van approached Daily’s Place with Trent jumping out of it. After getting a kiss from his mom, Sue, Trent joined the fight and went right at Miro — the man who put him on the shelf. Trent has been away since December due to a partially torn pec.

Taylor powerslammed Sabian off the stage and through some tables to pick up the pinfall victory for his team.

After the match. Cassidy, Taylor, Trent and Statlander came together for a big hug.

AEW star John Silver of The Dark Order is expected to miss at least one month of in-ring action after suffering a shoulder injury.

In an update, Silver took to Twitter this morning and announced that he will be out of the ring for around 4-6 weeks. The injury will not require surgery as there is no major damage.

“Bad news: I’ll be out about 4-6 weeks,” Silver wrote. “Good news: I don’t need surgery and there is no major damage”
