Sexy Star Comments On Rosemary Incident

sexy star

As noted, over the weekend Sexy Star purposefully injured Rosemary’s shoulder at the end of their Reina de Reinas Championship Match (which also included Lady Shani & Ayako Hamada) at AAA’s TripleMania XXV event. Since then, Rosemary has responded to what happened, commenting that Sexy Star tried to say it was a work, which Rosemary wanted to make very clear that it wasn’t. While a number of wrestling stars have reacted to the incident, Sexy Star has already felt the backlash, getting pulled from a WrestleCade Weekend event.

In the video below, on a reality show Sexy Star was asked about the incident and here was here response, which is translated roughly from Spanish (originally from rderudo.com) according to PWInsider.

“This have been very difficult days for me,” Sexy Star said. “Last Saturday, I was in a championship fight; was very hard. I think everything got out of hand. I don’t know, I am still confused with the situation. I’d like to remain quiet and when the time is right I will speak on the subject.”

“Men and women want to finish me, make me retire from the sport. I am still here, as I stated in the beginning, I will not stop representing all those women that have been mistreated physically or psychologically. I believe that I have to stronger. If at a moment I went through depression and got out of it, I will also get out of this one. I was doing what I had to do, what the people deserved, to go all in clawing until the end. That’s what happened, I submitted her. It appears the girl is injured, I don’t know, [it] is not something I am aware off. That’s all I can say.”

Rosemary gave an injury update on Twitter, saying it’s a strained tricep/bicep with swelling around the area and that time away from the ring should be minimal. She also thanked those who supported her and when wrestlers do make mistakes in the ring, they should own up to them. You can see her full comments below.

GFW Statement On Rosemary – Sexy Star

sexy star

GFW issued the following announcement on their website regarding Sexy Star purposely injuring Rosemary during their match at AAA TripleMania XXV this past weekend:

“It was an honor for GFW to be invited to participate in TripleMania XXV, held this past weekend in Mexico City. The AAA talent that we have worked with have been consummate professionals and the company organized and delivered an extraordinary event, in which both DJZ and Andrew Everett had spectacular showings following their recent surgeries. While the incident with Sexy Star marred an outstanding show, AAA executives have confirmed to us that appropriate measures are being taken in respect of this incident. Both AAA and Sexy Star have apologized to Rosemary. It is time to focus on the positives of the weekend (TripleMania XXV outrated the other sports entertainment event on Saturday evening in Mexico; Eddie Edwards became the first gaijin to win the GHC Heavyweight title at NOAH) and look forward to building our relationship with AAA and NOAH to bring an ever improving wrestling product to our fans.”

Many wrestlers have spoken out over Star’s actions, and now promotions are starting to take action.

The WrestleCade Team has read the online reports, watched the video, and saw both deleted & still posted tweets regarding the incident between Sexy Star & Rosemary at this weekends AAA’s TripleMania Event. Rosemary Responds To Sexy Star Purposely Injuring Her During Match, Why She Didn’t Break Her Face

sexy star

As noted, Rosemary was injured at last night’s AAA Triplemania XXVPWinsider reported that at the end of the match pitting Sexy Star defending the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship against Rosemary, Lady Shani & Ayako Hamada, Sexy Star popped Rosemary’s arm out of place while applying her armbar submission in what appeared to be a shoot.

The injury is said to not be that serious, and Rosemary is not expected to be out of action for too long.

It was noted that Lady Shani and Star were legitimately shooting on each other at one point during the match. The backstage scene was said to be “extremely tense.” Star left the arena, but was brought back by Vampiro and she apologized to Rosemary. Star then quickly left again.

Rosemary issued the statement below addressing the situation. She noted that Star has been telling people that it was a work, and that “Star is a liar.”

“Let me make this perfectly clear: if you take liberties with someone’s body when they are giving it to you and trusting you to keep them safe, you are not tough. You are an asshole. And you don’t belong in this business.Sexy Star decided to do just that this weekend at TripleMania. And while I have remained quiet on social media until I was more calm to address the situation, I have now being informed that she is telling people that it is a work. You are all now being informed that Sexy Star is a liar. She was a liar in the locker room when she was forced to apologize and instead cooked up some bulls–t excuse that she ‘didn’t know’ and she is a liar now. You know if you are torquing on someone’s arm. You know an armbar is a real and dangerous hold.

The only reason your face is not broken right now is because a little voice inside my head as I lay on the apron kept repeating, ‘Don’t go to Mexican prison.’ (thanks Demon).

However, turning to positives, the outreach from the wrestling community has been incredible. I’m overwhelmed with how much love I feel right now from friends, fans, and people I have yet to meet in this amazing business. We are a family and we protect our own. If you violate that, you are not welcome here.

I also want to thank the AAA locker room. Multiple people came up to me saying how sorry and disgusted they were. Thank you Hamada and Shani, who also had to deal with bulls–t from Star during that match. Thank you, Vampiro, for professionally trying to calm a volatile situation, though, as you know, once the excuses started pouring out of Sexy Star’s mouth in lieu of an apology, it was over.

Thank you to the amazing GFW locker room, both present that night and not. I have so much support from everyone, and talent, crew and office have all reached out to show me that.”

The Wrestling World Is Furious With Sexy Star After She Legitimately Injured Rosemary At AAA Triplemania

sexy star

There are many wrestlers working to apply their craft all over the world, and even though they may not always get along behind the scenes, they have a responsibility to look out for one another, and keep each other safe when they’re inside the ring. Unfortunately it sounds like Sexy Star went into business for herself Saturday night at AAA Triplemania XXV.

Sexy Star defended the AAA Reinas de Reina Championship against Rosemary, Lady Shani and Ayako Hamada, and she made Rosemary tap out after applying her armbar submission. But after Rosemary tapped out, Sexy Star continued to apply pressure to the arm, and it was later reported that she legitimately popped Rosemary’s arm out of place.

PWInsider reports that the injury is not as serious as originally thought, and Rosemary isn’t expected to miss any time in the ring. The report notes that before Sexy Star left the venue, Vampiro brought her to Rosemary so she could apologize.

It’s also being reported that Sexy Star and Shani were legitimately shooting on each other at one point during the match, and Star quickly left the venue after apologizing to Rosemary, and Shani was said to be looking for Star because she was upset over their interaction in the ring.

You can check out a quick clip of Sexy Star locking in the armbar on Rosemary below:

It’s very clear that the wrestling world is not happy with Sexy Star at all, and you can check out some of the reactions below:

Johnny Mundo Calls Out Vampiro Over Taya/AAA Situation, Vampiro Responds

Image result for Vampiro, Johnny Mundo, Taya

It was reported on Monday Sexy Star won the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at last night’s AAA television taping in Monterrey. Former champion Taya Valkyrie was stripped of the title, which she won in a no DQ match back in April, because “she used a choke during her No-DQ match with Ayako Hamada.” Vampiro told the crowd that Taya didn’t show up and was being stripped of the title; she was never scheduled to appear. The only reason they got her tile back was because Johnny Mundo brought it with him for a photo shoot, which was AAA’s way of getting the belt back to strip Taya.

After Taya quit AAA over social media, Vampiro (via WrestleInc) posted the following on Twitter…

Probably shouldn’t do this as I don’t give a f–k, but a mark is a mark, regardless of its gender! It’s called building a story and a angle and the day that talent dictates what happens in any company, then the company is in trouble. There are hundreds of people involved in planning stories ,programming events in advance, and , for me to even waste time addressing this to you, is crazy, as, I have a responsibility to do the best I can with what I have in front of me. Running a company in three continents is extremely complicated. Now , as far as taya is concerned, I chose not to say anything as I have been around long enough to see to many young talents close doors because they lose touch with reality. I support her and I think she is incredible. Her opinions are hers and hers alone. As far as you go, they say you do what I have done, or go through what I have gone through, and can do a better job than me , I will respect you. For now, I apologize , but to me , you’re a person who made me take 5 mins out of my day to answer your text, out of respect for your ignorance. Other than that, have a good day!

Mundo, who is engaged to Taya, then posted the following on Twitter…

Vampiro then took to Facebook (via WrestleInc) and posted the below message, which has now been deleted…

My response to Johnny mundo, taya , and fans in general.
This, is The perfect case of something that can turn into something very bad.

When I took the job of talent relations , producing, and writing….

I knew for a fact that I would have to have thick skin because no matter what you do or how you do it, when you work in the entertainment industry, or any industry for that matter and are in a position of influence, and have responsibilities, no matter what and no matter way, there will always be somebody who will not like you.

I have also learned that if you are a public person there will be more people who hate you then like you, and you will be destroyed in public via social media and every other outlet available , as no matter what, even if you were trying to do the best you can, somebody will be offended.

I get that and it’s all good, I’m OK with it, and I think that’s why I continue to grow as a person because I can understand that sooner or later I will make someone angry.

So I prefer to be honest, and that is I am a human being and they do make mistakes and by no means do I think I’m perfect.
I am only learning to do this job day by day, and I am trying my hardest.

I think that Taya is incredible, and she is a great performer, and has so much more in front of her .

I do think that It was completely irresponsible and how I went about the situation with her and for that I apologize.

As far as Johnny goes, I have nothing but respect for him and I think that he is one of the best pro wrestlers in the world today, and certainly one of the best ever of his generation.

I am just a guy who is trying his hardest to do his job, I do not apologize for who I am, but I do apologize if I have offended anyone and I do make professional mistakes.

In saying that I do not do anything on my own, I always run things by my superiors as that is the way things are supposed to be done, but I do strongly stand by what I am trying to transmit on television .

I am certain that I cannot make everybody happy all the time, and I do realize that I am just a passenger on this journey, and sooner or later I will be out of style and somebody will take my place but in the meantime I’m going to continue to try to do my best, and I am certainly not getting involved in a Twitter fued, work, or no work.

I certainly hope this clears up a few things, they’re a great story lines in great angles coming up, and it’s not my fault if talent is unhappy with me, but I am extending my hand in friendship and asking for forgiveness for whatever I have done wrong, and I would love to have a discussion with anybody who has been offended by me, because I can guarantee you that I did not do it intentionally.

This is the last I will comment on this issue, and I hope it’s sufficient.

Thanks very much and have a great evening.

Rey Mysterio Negotiating Return To WWE, Also In Talks With GFW

Rey Mysterio is currently negotiating with WWE and Global Force Wrestling, according to Sports Illustrated.

Mysterio is under contract with Lucha Underground through the end of season three, which will air in September. He’ll be a free agent after that but has a 90-day non-compete agreement attached to his deal.

WWE is still searching for a big Latino star after failing to replace Mysterio in the first place. GFW had been pushing Alberto El Patron, who has had a lot of negative press from his tumultuous relationship with Paige. The current GFW World Heavyweight Champion is suspended indefinitely following a domestic dispute with Paige at the Orlando airport last week.

Mysterio, 42, left WWE in February 2015 but has been open to the idea of returning for over a year. His son, Dominick, is looking to follow in his father’s footsteps so Mysterio could opt to return to WWE in hopes that it helps his son’s future.

Lucha Underground could look to retain Mysterio but will likely have a difficult time out-biding WWE should they decide they want to bring him back. They have also not announced plans for a fourth season.

Top AAA Star Apparently Quits The Promotion Following Title Change

Image result for Taya vs Sexy Star Lucha Libre AAA

Sexy Star won the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at last night’s AAA television taping in Monterrey. It was Star’s first match for the promotion since she announced her retirement from pro wrestling last year.

The previous holder of the belt, Taya Valkyrie, ripped the title change on Twitter last night. Taya, who announced her engagement to Johnny Mundo last month, was stripped of the title earlier this month because she used a choke during her No-DQ match with Ayako Hamada months earlier in April when she won the belt.

Taya noted that she was stabbed in the back and threatened to quit the promotion, as seen below:
