Wrestling Alternatives

With the future of TNA being in limbo recently, until finding a new home on Destination America, many people are wondering and thinking about its future. While the WWE is the “granddaddy” of them all, it’s always nice to have another option to look at. From independent organizations to smaller companies like Ring of Honor and the new up and coming Lucha Underground, what would the wrestling world be like without a TNA? The WWE is easily the most popular professional wrestling company, but would that mean the quality of its product will go down with no fear of “major” competition, or will it remain the same, being aware of any new promotions on the block. Even so, WWE is, as of now, miles ahead of the competition. However, who’s to say that there won’t be another WCW springing up in the coming years with that amount of steam and praise? It’s good to have multiple options to choose from if the main one offered (this case the WWE), is doing something that you don’t necessarily like or find entertaining. Here’s to hoping the best for TNA and much success to the future of other professional wrestling promotions.

Sting to appear at Survivor Series?

20141122-114747.jpg

It is being reported on various wrestling sites that sting will make an appearance at WWE’s Survivor Series tomorrow night. This news has gotten many people talking and one has to assume with the rumor being heavily reported the “WWE network” subscriber numbers should be sky rocketing. Especially since the month of November is free with no commitment plan.

If these rumors are true and we do see the LEGAND that is sting appear at one of the WWE’s biggest PPV’s of the year we have to ask ourselves what kind of roll will he play? Maybe he’ll be there to make sure the authority is out of power for good? Or perhaps the complete opposite?

It should be noted though that there is talks of pairing him up with the “cerebral assassin” Triple H because officials believe HHH has what it takes to work at Sting’s pace in the ring further more putting him over while making it believable.

So does this mean we’ll eventually get HHH vs Sting at Wrestlemania 31? If that’s the case I’m sure it’ll be a barn burner and a moment we’ll be taking about for ages.

I’m sure all these questions and more will be answered very soon, so stay excited and STAY TUNED!!

Silly Rabbit

A recurring segment that has been seen on WWE television recently is that of the Adam Rose Bunny. Without spoiling, there has been a lot of speculation about who exactly is playing the Bunny. Like many hot topics in the WWE, this one can be seen as under debate. Some may think the gimmick is silly and childish while others love the idea of it being fun and a key part of the “Entertainment” aspect of the WWE. Has it run its course or are you looking forward for more? Remember, there were even “childish” moments in the WWE prior to the PG era. Story lines with Doink the Clown, anyone? Here’s to many more fun times with the Bunny and Adam Rose. Like every story line, it’ll be interesting to see where one like this goes.

TNA – Destination America News

20141119-140648.jpg

TNA officials are said to be extremely happy with the new Destination America TV deal. The feeling within TNA is now that the TV deal is done, they can begin working on new talent deals, creative plans for next year and more internal changes, which John Gaburick has been working on.

One of the selling points of Destination America for TNA was that TNA will be an important cornerstone for the network. The deal opens up the possibility for more TNA programming. During negotiations Dixie Carter made it clear that she didn’t want just another 2 hours of Impact Wrestling.

TNA has a hold on the Manhattan Center in New York City for the week of January 6th but they may decide to tape in December and let those holds go. If they tape in December it may be in Michigan. TNA is working out details right now before making a decision whether to tape in December or January.

TNA plans are for a complete reboot of the look and feel of Impact Wrestling from the bottom up when it debuts in January. An official launch date is still being locked in but it could air on Tuesday or Wednesday.
