Update On Dudley Boyz WWE Departure

Source: WrestlingINC

Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley had recently agreed on terms for a new WWE deal but those deals were not executed some time in the week leading up to their departure on the post-SummerSlam RAW. It turns out that The Dudley Boyz had a deal on the table for 1-2 more years and everything was agreed on, including financial terms. For some reason, the decision was made to not execute the contracts and that both sides would go their separate ways.

There is no heat on The Dudleyz and they did not do anything to be released. It’s also not a situation where they were unhappy and there is nothing but positivity from both sides when it comes to the departure.

Jeff Jarrett’s GFW Partnering With Tennessee State Fair

Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling issued the following this week:

Global Force Wrestling will partner with the Tennessee State Fair to provide action-packed professional wrestling on the midway on each night of the fair, from Sept. 9-18.

The Fairgrounds in Nashville has a long and storied history with professional wrestling and with GFW co-founder Jeff Jarrett, and he’s proud to bring his new brand home.

“I can’t tell you how excited we are to be involved with the Tennessee State Fair,” Jarrett said. “I’ve been to the fair as a kid, I’ve brought my kids, and I’ve wrestled here literally hundreds of times.

“Wrestling’s roots are in state and county fairs, and GFW recently had a successful show at the Porter County Fair in Valparaiso, Indiana. This is a great fit for our brand, and we look forward to seeing some longtime fans and making some new ones.”

The Tennessee State Fair’s 2016 theme is “A Tennessee Tradition, ” as the fair was inaugurated more than 150 years ago. It features arts and crafts, explores agriculture, and allows attendees to have new and exciting experiences in a family-friendly atmosphere.

“What could be a better fit with our theme than professional wrestling and Tennessee’s own Jeff Jarrett?” fair manager Scott Jones said. “Wrestling is part of the fabric of the Fairgrounds, and adding it to all of the attractions we have at the fair should only add to the entertainment value for all who attend.”

Ryback – I Turned Down $1.5 Million Contract Offer From WWE, But Not Over Money (AUDIO)

Source: Pro Wrestling Sheet

The Big Guy has revealed that he turned down a GIANT sum of money to re-sign with WWE, but the decision wasn’t because of the amount — and Ryback went into detail about it on his new podcast.

Ryan Reeves debuted Conversations With The Big Guy today and in it claims he turned down a 3-year, $1.5 million dollar deal — one that included WWE paying for his hotel and rental car — due to the company failing to deliver on multiple promises throughout his run.

He explains, “It was about creative and it was about limiting me as a brand.” This includes losing in 2 minute matches, not selling his merch at live events and not allowing him to appear on fitness covers.

Ryback adds, “It’s little things like that, that I wanted a commitment from on a much deeper end. And the money was just one part of it. And I was very happy with the money offer that me and Vince came to an agreement on. It was so many other things outside of that.”

The wrestler also claims that during the last 3 months of his run, when they wanted him to re-sign,Vince McMahon promised he’d take Ryback “to the motherland” by making him the company’s top heel champion. He also says he was promised a WrestleMania 32 match against AJ Styles, in which Vince said he’d “squash that little twerp.”

Once that was changed to a pre-show match against Kalisto, Ryback claims he requested his contract include additional wording that states the company would be held to their promises in the future. When that didn’t happen, the wrestler says it felt like they were starting to bury him.

And that’s why he walked out.

Dixie Carter Said To Be ‘Pretty Much Done’ With TNA

Source: WrestlingINC

On Saturday night’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer commented on the ownership situation in TNA following the announcement that Billy Corgan is the new President of TNA. Meltzer noted that former TNA President Dixie Carter is pretty much done with the company.

“Dixie’s pretty much out of it now,” Meltzer said. “She’s out of power completely, she is completely out of power no matter what’s said, but she may be gone.”

Meltzer noted that Dixie was at the last set of television tapings and was there for some of the segments that were filmed, but that she left shortly after that and didn’t stay for the whole week. He added that “there were some things said that were not so great about her.”

“She’s pretty much on her way out,” he added.

Corgan appeared on Vince Russo’s podcast last week and discussed his new role with the company. He said that he has an ownership stake with the company, and that it is a “fluctuating situation” that is moving “progressively into the right direction.” He said that there are moves being made and that there were all good moves, but would not confirm if Dixie still owned a majority stake or not.

Thanks to Pro wrestling sheet. We now have that official statement and it reads as follows.

I am disappointed that this suspension has occurred, yet understand and respect that WWE upholds their Wellness Policy to the letter and won’t compromise on its integrity.
