Former Knockouts Champion Rosemary Re-Signs With Impact Wrestling

Impact Wrestling held a media call earlier today and announced former Impact Knockouts Champion, Rosemary, has re-signed with the company. On the call it was noted she will “be around for awhile.” She first debuted with the company in 2016.

Wrestling Inc. asked Rosemary if she would be reuniting with former Decay member, Crazzy Steve, since he appeared for the promotion back in January at the Nashville TV tapings. Rosemary said she was very interested in that happening and noted they’ve teamed on the indies.

Rosemary was out of action for eight months after sustaining a torn ACL, but made her return to TV at last month’s Impact Homecoming PPV where she saved Kiera Hogan from an attack by Allie and Su Yung. Rosemary is currently trying to save Allie from the “darkness.”

Sami Callihan and Fallah Bahh have also re-signed with Impact Wrestling.

Jeff Jarrett Wants A Judge To Give Him Back The Rights To His Name

Jeff Jarrett, TNA, IMPACT, Anthem, GFW, Global Force Wrestling, WWE, WWE Hall of Fame

As part of an ongoing legal battle, Jeff Jarrett is trying to win back the rights to his own name and likeness from Anthem Sports & Entertainment — the parent company of IMPACT.

According to PWInsider, Jarrett and Global Force Entertainment filed an amended lawsuit on February 22 against Anthem. Jarrett and GFE had initially filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Anthem in August ’18 over the use of Global Force Wrestling’s Amped series, which was acquired by the company when they took ownership of Impact Wrestling from Dixie Carter.

Here’s a few interesting details from the amended lawsuit:

  • The lawsuit included a response from Anthem dated 11/30/18 in which they claim “the sixteen one-hour Episodes of Global Force Wrestling Amped content sought in this question no longer exist. It was deleted in the normal course of business, long prior to the onset of this litigation, in order to free up storage space on Anthem Wrestling’s systems.”
  • In a declaration, Anthem’s Executive Vice President Ed Nordholm explains “Anthem Wrestling was formed in order to acquire the assets of an entity called TNA Entertainment LLC, when Fight Media foreclosed on certain loans to that entity.”
  • Jarrett is now requesting a ruling that will cancel IMPACT’s trademark on his name and hand the rights back to him. Jarrett was recently hired to work as a backstage producer for WWE, so this ruling would make it easier for them to manufacture Jeff Jarrett action figures and include his likeness in video games/other media.

Wrestling Inc. confirms that Sami Callihan has signed a new multi-year deal with IMPACT Wrestling. Wrestling Inc. also reports that more signings are expected this week including a former Impact Wrestling Champion.

Callihan made his Impact Wrestling debut on November 5, 2017, at Bound for Glory. He has since gone on to be named Impact Wrestling’s 2018 Wrestler of The Year. He also won the 2018 Impact Wrestling Moment of The Year award, for smashing Eddie Edwards in the face with his baseball bat.

Currently, Callihan leads oVe on Impact Wrestling TV and is attempting to bring Rich Swann into their ranks. His last Impact PPV match saw him picking up a victory over Swann’s friend, Willie Mack. For those who are interested, we are told that Callihan re-signing with Impact will not affect his ability to work with MLW.

Impact Wrestling Hall Of Famer Gail Kim Announces Return To In-Ring Competition

Image result for GAIL KIM Returns to Thwart Tessa Blanchard! | IMPACT! Highlights Nov 29, 2018

Impact Wrestling Hall of Famer and former WWE Superstar, Gail Kim, announced at last night’s Impact Wrestling tapings that she has resigned as a backstage producer and will be returning to the company as an in-ring competitor.

The announcement came after Tessa Blanchard came down to the ring and claimed that she would finally be getting justice on Gail Kim for both her unjust suspension and her Knockouts Title loss at Homecoming. Gail would come out to confront Blanchard and apologize for wronging her in the past, however, Blanchard started screaming how she wasn’t being specific enough. Gail delivered a more specific apology to Blanchard but was shortly thereafter encouraged to resign from her position as a backstage producer. Gail revealed that she did indeed resign from her role as Impact producer, but the stipulation was added that she would be returning to the company as an active wrestler. After yelling, “I’m coming back to kick your a–,” Gail pummeled Blanchard with shots and stood tall in the ring.

In a recent interview that Gail did Wrestling Inc’s WINCLY Podcast, Gail specifically mentioned how similarities between her and Blanchard have enticed her to step back in the ring for another match. Gail even went as far as to say that Blanchard is “going to be the best female wrestler in the world one day.”

“[Blanchard] came in [to Impact] and I kinda caught that itch and was thinking, ‘Wow, I would like to wrestle her,'” Kim said to Wrestling Inc.’s Nick Hausman. “I saw the same commonalities within us: we both want to be the best in the world and have the best matches…She’s the total package. She looks great. She’s great on the mic and she can go in the ring. I think she’s going to be the best female wrestler in the world one day.”

Will Sami tell us more about their past to bring this story together so it all makes sense? There are so many questions that we hope to have answered on Friday at Uncaged.

The Undertaker Signs Deal To Appear At Starrcast 2 In Las Vegas During AEW Double Or Nothing Weekend

The Undertaker has signed on for a significant non-WWE appearance this spring, according to Sports Illustrated.

Taker has reportedly signed a deal to appear at the Starrcast II wrestling convention in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 25. This is the same date of All Elite Wrestling’s Double Or Nothing event, and the convention is somewhat affiliated with AEW, but not an official AEW event.

Starrcast founder Conrad Thompson spoke to SI and said the convention is for all wrestling fans.

“I know people might assume this is an AEW event, but that is not true. We have wrestlers appearing from every promotion from all over the world, and Starrcast isn’t just for All Elite Wrestling fans, it’s for all wrestling fans,” Thompson said. “The Undertaker is synonymous with wrestling and generations of wrestling fans have grown up with The Undertaker. We wanted to bring something unique to Las Vegas, and there isn’t anyone more special in this business than The Undertaker.”

It should be noted that there is no direct link between working for AEW and appearing at the Starrcast convention, according to SI. There will now be obvious speculation on Taker appearing for AEW but he likely will not be appearing at Double Or Nothing and any kind of deal with the promotion would be separate from his deal for Starrcast.

“The Undertaker experience is its own standalone experience at Starrcast,” said Thompson, who expects a sellout when tickets for Taker’s appearance go on sale later this month. “We are so proud to bring The Undertaker experience to fans this Memorial Day weekend at Starrcast II.”

As we’ve noted, Taker recently removed WWE references from his social media pages started taking bookings for non-WWE appearances but he is not expected to wrestle for any other companies. The Dead Man is reportedly charging $25,000 per hour for appearances. There’s still no word yet on if Taker will be wrestling a match at WrestleMania 35 in April.

We noted yesterday that Taker took to social media and teased an “important meeting” after he and wife Michelle McCool took a private jet somewhere. It looks like the meeting could have been related to Starrcast.
