Released by WWE back in April, he previously worked in TNA / Impact from 2013 until 2018. During his run, EC3 won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on two occasions.
While it looks like he’s returned or has come back to Impact, EC3 noted earlier today on social media that is not quite the case.
“I have no home. I’m not ‘back.’ I’m not here for ‘friends’ or ‘family.’ In reality, who I am, has never been here. ‘Nostalgia’ and ‘comfort’ do not interest me. This isn’t what you think this is. This is more. #ControlYourNarrative #FreeEC3”
By the sounds of it, maybe EC3 is planning on showing up in more than one promotion over the next couple weeks.

“From this moment on, ladies. I am begging you to stop lying to yourselves about how great you are and also admit that you will never be smart enough to cheat to win. And last, but not least, Nyla Rose is going to steal every opportunity you have ever dreamed of,” she said.

AEW has announced two charity-driven initiatives in conjunction with Fight for the Fallen to help support COVID-19 response in Florida.
The company sent out a press release on Friday which explains:
Leading up to the highly anticipated FIGHT FOR THE FALLEN event this Wednesday, July 15, AEW today announced two charity-driven initiatives to help support northeast Florida’s response to COVID-19.
Funds from both AEW programs will be distributed to Florida’s First Coast Relief Fund and Feeding Northeast Florida, both of which will provide a range of health and well-being services for those struggling during this time. The two organizations are 501(c)(3) not for profits.
In the spirit of FIGHT FOR THE FALLEN, which raised money for the Jacksonville-based Victims Assistance Advisory Council last year, AEW is appealing to fans to donate what they can to Florida’s First Coast Relief Fund and Feeding Northeast Florida at http://www.AEWFightfortheFallen.com.
As part of the overall effort, AEW has designed a limited-edition shirt depicting powerful FIGHT FOR THE FALLEN imagery with a COVID-19 protective face mask at the center of the artwork. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from sales of the shirt, which is available at http://www.ShopAEW.com, will also go to Florida’s First Coast Relief Fund and Feeding Northeast Florida.
In March, the Khan family donated $1 million to various organizations to support northeast
Florida’s response to COVID-19.
“The efforts of the First Coast Relief Fund and Feeding Northeast Florida over the past four months have been truly amazing, but unfortunately the battle against this pandemic continues and that means their work is far from over,” said Tony Khan, President and CEO of All Elite Wrestling. “On behalf of everyone at AEW, and our fans, I thank both groups for their commitment to our home community of Jacksonville and North Florida and hope we can all come together to do what we can to support their mission.”
Fight for the Fallen airs this Wednesday on TNT. The show will feature FTR vs. Lucha Brothers, The Elite vs. Jurassic Express, Cody Rhodes vs. Sonny Kiss and Jon Moxley defending the AEW World title against Brian Cage.
Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows have reportedly come to terms on a deal with Impact Wrestling. The deal would allow “The Good Brothers” to wrestle on Impact as well as New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Former WWE Superstars Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are expected to work for New Japan Pro Wrestling and one group here in the United States.
As we’ve noted, Impact Wrestling recently released a teaser for their July 18 Slammiversary pay-per-view, which included shots of several of the recently released WWE Superstars – Drake Maverick, EC3, Eric Young, Mike and Maria Kanellis, Curt Hawkins, Gallows and Anderson, plus a Bulgarian flag for Rusev. We know at least one of those wrestlers will not be appearing for Impact as Drake re-signed to work the NXT brand.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that some wrestlers shown in the promo have not agreed to appear for Impact. There’s no word yet on which of the wrestlers have agreed to appear at Slammiversary.
Regarding Gallows and Anderson, nothing is final but NJPW is probably where they will end up. It was noted that Gallows and Anderson will likely work for NJPW and then for a promotion here in the United States in between NJPW tours.
The 90-day non-compete clauses from these WWE contracts will expire on Wednesday, July 15.
Karl Anderson took to Instagram this week to post a photo of his fellow “Good Brother” Doc Gallows who is in more leaner, muscular shape and shown wearing an Impact Wrestling tank top. Anderson captioned the post by writing, “damn @the_biglg how much s–t are you on? @talknshoppodcast @the_biglg @azucarroc #TalkNShopAManiaTapings.”
Anderson and Gallows have reportedly come to terms on a deal with Impact Wrestling. The deal would allow “The Good Brothers” to wrestle on Impact as well as New Japan Pro Wrestling.
It was also reported that Gallows and Anderson have already filmed content for Impact Plus, which is the on-demand streaming service that Impact launched in May 2019. It is not clear if they will be making an appearance on Impact’s upcoming PPV, Slammiversary, which will take place on July 18.
“TalkNShopAMania” is confirmed for August 1 on Fite TV. Gallows is also scheduled for an indie show on July 25th in Georgia.
Tonight’s AEW Dynamite: Fyter Fest (Night 2) episode airs on TNT from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.
* Chris Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy
* FTR and Young Bucks vs. The Butcher, The Blade, Fenix, and Pentagon Jr.
* Lance Archer (with Jake Roberts) vs. Joey Janela
* SCU vs. Dark Order (Brodie Lee, Grayson, and Colt Cabana)
* Hangman Page and Kenny Omega (c) vs. Private Party (AEW World Tag Team Championship)
* Nyla Rose in action
* Taz to make a major announcement. AEW President Tony Khan took to Twitter and said Tony Schiavone will be interviewing Taz and his client Brian Cage to promote the upcoming match with AEW World Champion Jon Moxley. There’s no word yet on what Taz has to announce, but Khan guaranteed it will “send shockwaves through the world of professional wrestling.”
