Ronda Rousey gets involved in PWG event

20141020-155033.jpg

This past Friday on October 17th 2014 UFC battemweight champion Ronda Rousey attended the PWG (pro wrestling Guerrilla) event in Reseda California with fellow training partners and UFC fighters Shayna Baszler and Jessamyn Duke. Rousey had to leave the event early since she had training in the morning the next day as she preps for her title defense in January. However the champ had some fun before jetting out. The “rowdy” one got involved in one of the matches directly from where she was sitting in the front row. She was prompted by one of the wrestlers to chop his opponents chest in Ric Flair fashion and Rousey did just that which led to cheers and woos from the crowd. You can read more on the story here http://www.foxsports.com/ufc/haymaker/ronda-rousey-gets-involved-in-local-california-pro-wrestling-show-101914?cmpid=tsmtw:fscom:ufconfox

Man oh man what I would’ve given to see that happen. Kudos to the wrestlers of PWG for getting the crowd involved and putting on a show all on their own.

Things like this really really make me want a “4Horsewomen” invasion in the WWE: I know without a shadow of a doubt it would be “best for business” I guess only time will tell

Matt Hardy Reportedly Paid Double His Usual Fee By TNA

Matt Hardy

Matt Hardy usually charges $1,500, plus hotel & transportation, plus another $300 for his wife Reby Sky for indie appearances. TNA reportedly paid him around double that for his appearance at the Impact taping in New York City this past week.

Matt is not signed to TNA or Ring of Honor, but he wants to continue working for both promotions, even though that might not be possible. It seems Matt is not looking to sign a contract to work as regular in any company. On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio he said that he has made enough money from WWE that he’s financially set for life, but working indies allows him to earn a decent income & stay involved in wrestling.

Jarrett Allegedly In Physical Altercation At Indy Show

Jeff Jarrett-newpromotion

Dr. Jerry Wiseman of The Examiner reports that Jeff Jarrett was involved in a physical altercation with 17 year old John Calvin the son of IWA Mid-South promoter Ian Rotten. Jarrett was supposedly upset about not getting paid the money he was promised. Jarrett was apparently only given half of his pay at the show & was promised that he would receive the rest in 2 to 3 days. This led to Jarrett cussing out workers & either slapping Calvin’s glasses off his head or breaking them.

Later Ian Rotten said – “Jeff & Karen Jarrett were both intoxicated. I have a locker room full of people to back me up on that.”
