Rousey has went on record saying she would love to fight Carano. Rousey has a huge amount of respect for Carano and rightfully so because Carano had a dominating career in strikeforce and is indeed a pioneer for WMMA.
Although the women’s BATEMWEIGHT champion is completely game for this fight there’s a few contributing factors as to why it won’t happen. The most notable one is that Carano fights in a catch weight class a totally different class then the champ which means the title would NOT be on the line. Another argument would be that Carano hasn’t been in a cage in the last 5 years.
So what do you guys think? Is this a fight we will see in the future?
It should also be noted that yesterday it was announced that Rousey’s next bout will take place at UFC175 on Saturday July 5th against Alexis Davis.

The WWE is helpingUltimate Warrior‘s wife cope with her husband’s sudden death … flying two senior WWE officials to Arizona to stand by and help her.
TMZ was told the WWE sent the employees almost immediately after Warrior died … their main task is helping his wife Dana handle little things — grocery shopping, letting other family members know what’s going on — so she can focus on being with their daughters.
In addition to paying tribute to The Ultimate Warrior on RAW this Monday, Technology Tell reports that a special titled “Warrior: The Ultimate Legend” will air on the WWE Network next Wednesday.
A scripture in the Book of James talks about not knowing what tomorrow holds. This passage came to mind after I watched The Ultimate Warrior on TV 3 days in a row and then he passed away the very next day.
A passage in the Book of Mark also tells us we don’t know the day or the hour.
I’ve struggled mightily to come up with the right words to say about what happened last weekend and then with the sudden and unexpected death of The Ultimate Warrior.
So with that said, I’m going to give you the link to my Ed Boston Evangelistic Outreach show for this week where I talk about what happened, and I will say this:

MVP announced a 10-Man Over-The-Top-Rope Gauntlet Match for the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Title. Winner gets Magnus at Sacrifice. MVP said Samoa Joe isn’t going to be apart of it because Joe informed TNA office that he won’t be available. MVP said he found a replacement.
TNA World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contender Over-The-Top-Rope Gauntlet Match: James Storm & Gunner started the match. Bobby Roode was next in. Bully Ray was next in. EC3 next in. Bobby Lashley next in. Abyss next in. Magnus came out & joined the announce team. Sanada next in. Eric Young next in. Willow next in. Rockstar Spud came out in a wheelchair & stood up & helped EC3 eliminate Willow. Willow chases Spud to the back. Abyss eliminated Sanada. Roode eliminated Lashley. Bully eliminated Roode. Roode helped EC3 eliminate Bully. Storm eliminated Gunner. EY eliminated EC3. EY eliminated Storm. EY eliminated Abyss. Winner – EY. EY is #1 contender will get Magnus at Sacrifice.
Christy Hemme with Eric Young in the ring. EY said he has a request & called out MVP.
EY called out MVP. EY said he is feeling crazy tonight. EY said he has been here for 10 years & has waited long enough & wants his Title match tonight instead at Sacrifice. MVP made the match. Magnus said that’s fine because it’s Magnus rules. MVP said there is no Magnus rules & if Magnus gets DQ or Counted out he will lose the title. MVP said Abyss is banded from ringside & if anyone else interferes they will be fired. Magnus said MVP can’t do that. MVP said he can & he did.
Rockstar Spud surprised Dixie Carter in her room. He had the placed decorated with balloons & other party stuff. Dixie wasn’t in a good mood, she said she had to go find MVP. Dixie accused Spud of being ready to sell her down the river as soon as he thought he worked for MVP. Spud said it’s not true. Dixie told him to clean up this mess & left the room. There was a knock at the door. Spud opened the door & Willow came in & started trashing the place.
Knockouts Championship #1 Contender 4-Way Match: Gail Kim VS Brittany VS ODB VS Angelina Love: Velvet Sky sprayed something in Gail’s eyes. Angelina pinned Gail. Winner – Angelina. Angelina is the #1 contender.
Dixie Carter came into MVP office to talk to him. MVP threatened to have Dixie tossed out of the building. Dixie said MVP’s MVP Principle is a massive violation of his powers. MVP said what are you going to do fire me. Dixie said she will as soon as she clears up the mess he made for her with the Board. Dixie said she came here to take care of a disgruntled wrestler. Dixie invited MVP to watch her chew this guy up & spit him out because she is going to do the same to him. MVP said he will bring the popcorn.
In MVP office. Jesse of The BroMans along with DJ Z & The Wolves. The BroMans can’t defend the tag titles tonight because Robbie E isn’t here because his flight was canceled. MVP said Robbie has until bell time to get here or Jesse & DJ Z will defend the tag titles against The Wolves.
Magnus in the back, he said Eric Young made a mistake.
Dixie Carter came to the ring & called out Bully Ray. Bully said he is shocked that Dixie is here because last time she didn’t show up. Dixie said Bully is dumb for getting conned to come to her offices & for Bobby Roode to take him out. Dixie mentioned last week Roode putting the master of the tables through not 1, not 2, but 3 tables & that Bully has never been put though 3 tables in one night before. Bully said Dixie & Roode didn’t get the job done because he is still standing here. Dixie asked Bully why he doubled-crossed her at Lockdown. Dixie said Bull humiliated her & cost her control of wrestling operations in her company. Bully said it’s not her company, it’s the fans company. Bully said this company is for all the fans around the world & for every wrestler in the back. Dixie said Bully is no better than her. Bully said whether the fans or wrestlers like him or hate him they respect him. Dixie said they respect her too. Dixie said she built this company with her money. Dixie said she paid Bully a lot of money to do a job that he didn’t do & she wants her money back. Bully said he Dixie shouldn’t trust anybody. Bully said he spent the money on a car & most of it at a caberet in New York City. Bully started to ask her do you know who I am, but Dixie knocked the mic out of his hand. Dixie asked Bully if he knows who she is. she said is still the President of this company, still in control of the checks & is still his boss. Dixie slapped Bully across the face. Roode attacked Bully from behind. Dixie told Roode to get a table. Roode got a table & set it up in the ring. Bully hit Roode with some punches & went to powerbomb Roode through the table but Roode escaped & left the ring. Bully stared at Dixie & thought about putting her through the table.
Magnus confronted Dixie in the back about not taking time to say hi to him. Dixie said she is here on business that doesn’t pertain to him. Magnus said he is the World Champion, everything pertains to him, he is her business. He wanted her to wish him luck in his title match. She said he doesn’t need luck, he has a plan. Dixie said she plans on taking her limo to the airport & having a glass of wine on the way & may have one or two more on the plane & is going home & shower & go to bed. Magnus said typical woman. Dixie said Magnus is ungrateful & mentioned that he told EC3 that he didn’t need her anymore because he has an insurance policy. Dixie told Magnus good luck with his plan tonight on his own. Dixie said see you champ & left. Magnus said ” I don’t need you anyway, Wrath of Dixie my ass.”
TNA Tag Team Championship Match: The Wolves VS Tag Champs The BroMans ( Jesse & DJ Z – Robbie E wasn’t there): Robbie showed up & interfered & got The BroMans disqualified. Winners – The Wolves by DQ: The BroMans still the champions.

Christy Hemme called Samuel Shaw out to the ring. Christy said she had a change of heart & Shaw is misunderstood. Shaw said he is happy that she saw the light. Shaw said he is the love of her life. Christy flirted with him & told him to trust her & close his eyes. A Psychiatric Services van pulled up outside the building. Mr. Anderson got out of the van & headed to the ring. Anderson stood behind Shaw. Christy told Shaw to turn around. He turned around & Christy told him to open his eyes. Anderson hit Shaw with a Mic Check. Anderson told Shaw that the commitment Christy was talking about was his commitment to the funny farm. Anderson tossed Shaw out of the ring & dragged him to the back. Anderson tossed Shaw into the van but before Anderson could close the doors, Shaw escaped & ran off.
Willow in the back, he said, maybe he’s crazy subtract maybe. Willow mentioned EC3 & Rockstar Spud being the cause of his elimination earlier. Willow said he doesn’t care about winning, he cares for revenge. Willow challenged EC3 & Spud to a handicap match next week.
TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match: Eric Young VS World Champ Magnus: Magnus brought his title belt into the ring. The ref took it from him & Magnus hit EY with a low blow when the ref was handing the belt out of the ring. EY kicked out of the pin attempt. EY hit Magnus with a Piledriver & got the pin. Winner – EY & is the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion.
On tonight’s TNA Impact show, after winning a 10-Man Gauntlet Match to become the #1 contender, Eric Young demanded that MVP give him his title shot against Magnus, TONIGHT!
An injured, tired, and worn down EY nailed Magnus with a vicious pile driver and became the new TNA Heavyweight Champion.
Mike Tenay ended the show only as he can with, “What a moment – April 10, 2014, Eric Young crowned TNA Heavyweight Champion – Damn he did it”.
Nancy Grace interviewed Diamond Dallas Page on Headline News last night to discuss the death of The Ultimate Warrior. During the segment, which you can watch above, Warrior was referred to as a “WWE Superstar.” Grace spoke about wrestlers dying of steroids and illegal drugs, and while she was discussing it, a list of wrestlers who died young was shown which included Owen Hart, who actually died from a freak stunt during a WWE pay-per-view in 1999.
DDP noted that he saw Warrior at the WWE Hall of Fame last weekend, and while “he looked great” and his energy was as high as ever, you never know what’s going on inside. Grace brought up that Warrior has admitted to past steroid use, and DDP said that “we all used it back in the day” – obviously referring to wrestlers, but Grace took it like he meant every person on the planet, and clarified that she never used steroids. DDP noted that Warrior was passionate about working out, and was not as big now as he was back in the day. The segment ended with Grace talking about rumors of drug abuse swirling for Warrior’s death.
As you can imagine, a lot of people took offense to Grace’s report, especially the list with Owen’s name mentioned. Zeb Colter took to his Twitter to ask that Nancy Grace be deported, and later wrote, “If anybody receives an email entitled NANCY GRACE NUDE, do not open it. It’s not a virus. It really is Nancy Grace nude. @NancyGraceHLN @WWE”
Owen Hart’s oldest brother, Smith Hart, also issued the following statement on his Facebook page:
“I think our beloved sister-in-law Martha as well as my entire family should be tremendously offended by the implication of Nancy Grace that my brother Owens demise had anything to do with drugs or steroids. For her to attempt to capitalize on Warrior’s death while his family grieves for personal choices he may have made more than 20 years ago is a sad to day for what passes as journalism today. Breaking news; Many rock stars snorted cocaine in the 80’s. Perhaps we should shut down the entire music industry. We should not buy into any of their such ridiculous libelous statements. We will hear official details from the coroner this weekend and not from some gossip journalist.”
Sting posted the following on Facebook about the death of The Ultimate Warrior:
“Mourning the loss of Jim Hellwig. I don’t believe anyone has ever published this picture before today. The snapshot was taken two days before Thanksgiving in 1985, as we prepared to leave my house in Newhall, California and embark on a career in wrestling.
Jim always challenged me to strive at being the best, and I’ll forever be grateful for the encouragement and motivation he provided.
I was looking forward to catching up with him, and I’m saddened we didn’t have the opportunity before he passed. My heart goes out to his wife Dana and their two daughters, and they will remain in my prayers.”
