IMPACT WRESTLING Post Show: Miss Tessmacher, Robbie E, Kazarian, Gunner

Due to JB having prior commitments to tend to he had no choice but to leave Robbie E in charge for the first part of the show… whether or not it was a mistake you decide, though it is safe to say that the topic was really all over the place.  Fortunately Borash was able to come back to the rescue and get things back on track where he was able to get some words in with Gunner on tonight’s episode of IMPACT WRESTLING.

Shawn Michaels Responds To Daniel Bryan and CM Punk Being Compared To Him and Bret Hart.

In a recent interview the WWE Hall of Famer responded to the comparisons Daniel Bryan and CM Punk are getting with being compared to Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart.

“I’m remiss at saying, ‘boy, it’s a big compliment to them!’ I hope they take it as a compliment… it’s just weird. If Bret and Shawn are something to be compared to, it’s only because we have a [Ric] Flair and [Ricky] Steamboat to be compared to. If that’s what we’re talking about, then I’m deeply complimented and honored to have that, and I hope that they are too.

“I do know that they are both very talented. It does not surprise me one bit that they have phenomenal matches, that they can continue to have something very special and consistent through the years because they’re both very talented. They both bring so much to the table… they don’t rest on their laurels, they’re two guys that want to continue to improve, continue to get better. Those are the same things that Bret and I strived for in each other, in ourselves and in our matches.”

Daniel Bryan / Charlie Sheen Storyline Backstage Information; What Is The Plan?

Are you tired of all the Charlie Sheen yet?

According to a WWE insider Charlie Sheen will indeed most likely have an encounter with Daniel Bryan at WWE’s pay-per-view “Summerslam” this month.

We’re told the plan is to use Charlie Sheen as a way to gain more mainstream media coverage. Something the WWE has been working hard to achieve. As well as generate pay-per-view buys.

You can expect more appearances from Charlie Sheen in the next few months as well. As the WWE insider hints that they’re Summerslam encounter could be the first of many angles.

Updated: The Mystory WWE Radio Voice Revealed (Corrections)

Updated: September 2, 2012

Everyone makes mistakes or oversights and it is a normal part of life. I try to be as truthful and honest when posting here on this site. The voiceover artist featured in this post and the video below has nicely offered some information that gives me a more acerate detail of what he does and doesn’t do for World Wrestling Entertainment. In fairness to those who also provide service to the WWE and in an effort to maintain a healthy and respectful relationship I wanted to post Ed Weigle’s response to this post.

We respect everyone behind the scenes who sometimes does not get enough recognition and one of our goals here at the site aside from covering the pro wrestling industry is to showcase those who work hard behind the scenes as well. We pride ourselves as an organization on covering things fairly and truthfully and we are grateful for the correction.

Someone told me about your kind post. Thanks for the shout out, Trevor! However, I’m only the voice of the RADIO spots, which promote our events (Raw, Smackdown, Wrestlemania, pay-per-views, non-televised events, etc.) in all the English speaking markets, worldwide. Been voicing–as well as producing–those, from our studios in Sarasota, Florida, for more than a decade (Among many other voice-over projects, including the new Aerosmith video, “Legendary Child”). The TV spots, special program content and DVDs are voiced by a host of actors, among them, Keith David–who is also one hell of great singer! The TV spots are produced in Stamford, CT., where WWE headquarters are located. To my knowledge, I’ve not done anything which has appeared on our TV shows or DVDs–although, I’d certainly not turn it down if they asked me! Best of luck to you! Glad you enjoy WWE, and our spots! Ed Weigle

Well so do we! So we went on a quest to find out who in the world is “The Voice of the WWE” and guess what? We found him!

Meet Ed Weigle a veteran radio and television voiceover artist who is the official voice of the WWE. He’s even got a logo on his studio mic to prove it.

JR Praises Daniel Bryan’s Performance, Encourages Fans To Give Raw’s New Format a Chance.

In his latest blog entry Jim Ross shares his thoughts on everything from Raw’s new 3 hour format to Daniel Bryan’s performance and improved persona.

-The three hour Raws are going to be daunting animals with which to deal. An impossible mountain to climb? Absolutely not even thought some ‘experts’ already have those thoughts. I’m not in that group and feel that the three hour Monday Night Raw broadcasts provide the potential to get more talents exposure, to rebuild the tag team scene, to provide Divas with more match time and to slow down the storytelling process so that we fans have the time to process the information that we hear and see.

-So, unlike some, I’d prefer to give the new format a chance to succeed rather than behead it after two weeks which seems knee jerk and senseless. Any thing ‘new’ generally needs tweaking and this particular situation isn’t any different. That’s not an indictment but merely a statement of fact.

-Some fans demanding @CMPunk to have another pipebomb promo will likely get one down the road but Cincy wasn’t the time nor the place. I thought Punk had a great night on air and his verbal jousting with @Jerry Lawler entertained me.

-Regarding the WWE Title, Punk told many truths which might not sit well with some. I am an old school believer that nothing in WWE is more important than the WWE Title. Some personal issues are on the same level often times but nothing should be MORE important than the WWE’s premier championship. That’s my two cents on that matter.

-Does Daniel Bryan ever have a bad night? Bad match? Bad promo? He certainly hasn’t that I can recall. WWE is lucky to have Bryan on their roster and the two entities have formed an amazing fit when, in the early part of Bryan’s WWE tenure, I’m sure that some thought the relationship wouldn’t last. Now Daniel Bryan is one of WWE’s most valuable assets. He’s a dream for management to have on their roster. No one that I can recall in recent years has improved their verbal skills and overall on air persona as Daniel Bryan.

In Case You Missed It: Raquel Diaz’s Official WWE Debut On NXT

We already posted this once but wanted to showcase Raquel’s debut again for a couple of reasons one being it has been overlooked with all the current things going on in the WWE Universe and two because we know we have special visitors who might enjoy getting to see it again.

We gave you a little background on Raquel Diaz in our previous posts so we’re not going to do it this time. We’re sure Wikipedia can fill you in on who she is and where she comes from. We ask that you share this post with your friends. Big things are coming from Raquel Diaz folks!

We have seen comments by those within the industry and all we can say is give her time. It takes time to get down a persona that fits you well and to win over a crowd. Do we need to discuss the current attempts to make CM Punk a heel?

NXT is a broadcast which features new and upcoming talent in the WWE. Alumni include current superstars and diva’s like Raw G.M. AJ Lee, Daniel Bryan and more.
