The IInspiration Returns: Former WWE Tag Champs Cassie Lee & Jessica McKay Resurface at TNA Against All Odds

TNA Wrestling just got a major boost to its Knockouts tag division — and fans of women’s tag team wrestling have a big reason to get excited.

In a surprise appearance at Against All Odds, former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay — known collectively as The IInspiration — made their long-awaited return to the company. The duo, best known to longtime WWE fans as The IIconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce), confronted current Knockouts Tag Team Champions Ash by Elegance and Heather by Elegance during the pre-show countdown, making their intentions crystal clear by gesturing to their waists: they’re gunning for gold.

This marks Lee and McKay’s first appearance in a wrestling ring since they quietly stepped away from the business in 2022. Their previous run in TNA (then IMPACT Wrestling) saw them quickly grab the Knockouts Tag Team Titles, cementing their place as top-tier competitors in the promotion before taking time off — both eventually becoming mothers during their hiatus.

Behind the scenes, Fightful Select reports the pair have officially signed new contracts with TNA Wrestling. The deals were finalized within the last few weeks, and while short-term (under a year), they reportedly include an option for mutual extension. Sources within the company also noted that recent regime changes helped pave the way for the duo’s return.

Lee and McKay bring both star power and championship pedigree wherever they go. After all, they shocked the world by capturing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 35 in 2019, during a near seven-year WWE run that showcased their charisma, chemistry, and comedic timing. When they were released by WWE in 2021, they didn’t waste time rebuilding their momentum, debuting as The IInspiration at Bound for Glory later that year and immediately winning gold.

Now, with the Knockouts tag division heating up again, the return of The IInspiration adds a dose of experience, flair, and serious in-ring credibility. Don’t be surprised if their second TNA run is even more iconic than the first.

Stay tuned — the Knockouts tag scene just got a whole lot more… inspirational.

TNA Against All Odds 6/6/2025 (Results) – The IInspiration Returns, Killer Kelly Returns

Pre-Show Highlights

Team Elegance Goes Full Devil Mode
Ash, Heather, and M by Elegance took the win over Xia Brookside, Harley Hudson, and Myla Grace in trios action. Dressed as devils to rep Arizona State’s Sun Devils, the Elegance squad embraced chaos. Ash danced mid-match before getting an assist from the Personal Concierge, who jabbed Grace with a devil’s pitchfork. A swanton later, Ash secured the pin.

The IInspiration Returns!
Post-match, the Concierge praised his squad until a familiar theme hit—the IInspiration (aka The IIconics) made their TNA return! Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee made their intentions clear: they’re eyeing the Knockouts Tag Team Titles.

Backstage Drama Unfolds

Tasha Steelz Caught in the Middle
Jason Hotch asked Tasha Steelz to watch his back for his match, but Mustafa Ali showed up demanding her loyalty instead. Steelz wasn’t having it and reached out to someone mysterious to knock some sense into Ali.

Power Play for Authority
Robert Stone vowed to beat Santino Marella and take control of TNA—plus keep Arianna Grace as his personal maid. But the situation twisted when Matt Cardona interrupted and inserted himself as special guest referee. Santino reminded everyone: the Cobra is legal tonight.

Main Card Results

TNA International Championship
Steve Maclin (c) def. Mance Warner
Hard-hitting and wild, this bout saw plenty of brawling. Warner nearly had it with a tornado DDT and a brutal running knee, but interference from Steph De Lander helped swing things back to Maclin. After a Tree of Woe spear and the KIA DDT, Maclin walked away still champion.

Hardys, Slater & the Hometown Man def. Moose, Myers, Edwards & Dango
The mystery man turned out to be Deaner, masked as the Hometown Man. Slater was the star here, surviving a crushing spear from Moose and reversing a second attempt into a pinfall victory—just pinned the X-Division Champ!

Mustafa Ali def. Jason Hotch
Ali showed his ruthless side. After a brutal German suplex on the apron, Ali demanded Steelz cheat on his behalf. She refused and walked off. Hotch got close with a UFO bomb and a frog splash, but Ali’s sadistic streak kicked in. He landed a 450 to the back for the win. Post-match, Ali mocked Hotch with a fake handshake and blew off Skyler’s attempt at sportsmanship. Ali’s turning into a dangerous egomaniac.

In-Ring Segment: First Class Penthouse

AJ Francis & KC Navarro hosted their talk show, waiting for Mike Santana. Francis ran his mouth—until Santana arrived unannounced and took out security. Francis sacrificed Navarro to escape, only to return with a champagne bottle shot to Santana’s head. Navarro was dragged to safety, but the message was sent.

Knockouts Championship

Masha Slamovich (c) def. Lei Ying Lee
Lee came out blazing with high-speed strikes and pulled off a nasty stretch muffler suplex. Slamovich countered with an avalanche Death Valley Driver, and after a flurry of reversals, ended it with a piledriver. Post-match, Killer Kelly made her long-awaited return, dropping her trademark chain at Masha’s feet. Former partners—future rivals? Indi Hartwell was on commentary, keeping a close eye.

Frankie Kazarian def. Joe Hendry

Kaz used surgical precision, targeting Hendry’s leg throughout. Despite Hendry’s powerhouse comebacks—including a one-legged fallaway slam—Kaz outsmarted him. A chop block and a roll-up with his feet on the ropes sealed the dirty win.

More Shenanigans Backstage

Robert Stone tried to bribe Matt Cardona with an envelope full of cash. While Cardona didn’t reject the gift, he promised to call things fair… mostly.

TNA World Tag Team Championship

Nic & Ryan Nemeth (c) def. Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz
Fast-paced and chaotic. Ryan was in deep trouble late in the match, but Nic made the save, and the brothers hit back-to-back finishers—Danger Zone and Hollywood Ending—to keep the gold.

Santino Marella def. Robert Stone – Winner Becomes TNA Director of Authority

Despite bribes, interference, and chaos, Santino pulled through. Cardona called it (mostly) down the middle. Tessa Blanchard and Victoria Crawford tried to tip the scales, and Tessa even stole the Cobra mid-match. But Arianna Grace turned on Stone, giving her dad a backup Cobra. One strike later, and Santino was declared victorious as the crowd erupted.

TNA World Championship Main Event

Trick Williams (c) def. Elijah
High drama in the finale. Trick pulled off a turnbuckle pad and tried to use the guitar, but Elijah wouldn’t go down easy. AJ Francis got involved, but Elijah took him out. After a ref distraction, Trick used the title belt—Elijah kicked out! In the end, Elijah collided with the exposed buckle, setting up the Trick Shot knee for the win. Trick retains, but not without controversy.

Tay Melo Shocks AEW with Surprise Return at Fyter Fest, Saves Anna Jay from Brutal Attack

After nearly two years away from AEW programming, Tay Melo made her long-awaited return during Wednesday night’s Fyter Fest special — and she didn’t come empty-handed.

With Anna Jay cornered and seemingly moments away from being thrown off the stage by Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford, Melo’s music hit to a massive reaction. Charging to the ring wielding a kendo stick, she went straight after Ford, swinging with purpose and clearing house before mixing it up with Bayne. Officials quickly stepped in to separate them, but the message was loud and clear: Tay Melo is back, and she’s coming in hot.

This marks Melo’s first AEW appearance since January 2023, when she was still aligned with Jay as part of the Jericho Appreciation Society (JAS). Later that spring, Melo and her husband Sammy Guevara revealed at Double or Nothing that they were expecting their first child. The couple welcomed their daughter, Luna, on November 28, 2023.

While Wednesday marked Melo’s AEW comeback, fans may recall she quietly dipped her toe back into the ring earlier this year. In January, she teamed with STARDOM’s Mina Shirakawa at the New Year Dream event in Japan — a sign that the former Judo standout wasn’t done with wrestling just yet.

Now reunited with Jay, the duo known as TayJay is back in action. The two first began teaming in 2020, making it to the semi-finals of the AEW Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament. Their chemistry led to a run within the JAS faction from 2022 through Melo’s hiatus. Though Melo was absent during the faction’s eventual implosion, her return signals a fresh start — this time clearly on the babyface side of the aisle.

With AEW’s women’s division heating up and TayJay reunited, all eyes will be on what’s next for Melo, Jay, and whoever dares to stand in their way.

Report: Liv Morgan Stalker Reportedly Arrested Outside WWE Performance Center

A troubling situation unfolded outside the WWE Performance Center in Orlando on Tuesday night, as reports have surfaced about the arrest of an alleged stalker targeting WWE Superstar Liv Morgan.

The initial report came from NaJee of the Wrestling Heroes and Insiders Wrestling Podcast, who stated that the individual was apprehended on-site by local authorities. NaJee also claimed that multiple bags of potential evidence were seized during the arrest. The report was later corroborated by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, who added that WWE was aware of the situation and had contacted the police themselves.

Ongoing Investigation, Limited Details

As of now, specifics regarding the identity of the suspect or the charges filed have not been publicly disclosed. However, The Takedown via Sports Illustrated noted that the suspect is currently in police custody.

Neither the Orlando Police Department nor the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has officially confirmed the arrest at the time of this writing. It remains unclear what the suspect’s intentions were or whether Liv Morgan was present at the Performance Center when the incident occurred.

Morgan, a top star on WWE’s main roster, did not appear on this week’s episode of NXT, which was taped Tuesday night at the same facility. There is no confirmation yet on whether her absence was related to the incident or purely coincidental.

History of Security Concerns

This isn’t the first time the WWE Performance Center has dealt with serious security issues. In the past, other WWE talents — including Morgan herself — have had to deal with stalkers or trespassers, prompting WWE to enhance its security measures around the facility.

With WWE’s ongoing presence in Orlando and a heavy roster of talent training at the Performance Center regularly, incidents like this serve as a reminder of the very real dangers wrestlers face outside the ring.

We’ll continue to follow this story and provide updates as more information becomes available. Our thoughts are with Liv Morgan, and we hope for her continued safety and well-being during this disturbing situation.
