Avery Styles, the son of WWE Hall of Famer and TNA legend AJ Styles, may be dealing with an injury following TNA Wrestling’s recent television tapings in Dothan, Alabama.
According to Fightful Select, several wrestlers were left “banged up” following the tapings, with Styles among those reportedly affected. The young talent was seen wearing a walking boot, although no further details about the nature or severity of the injury have emerged.
As of the latest report, there has been no additional update on Styles’ condition or how much time he might miss.
Avery Styles Makes Progress in TNA
Styles has been building momentum since signing with TNA at Lockdown in August. Despite having limited in-ring experience, he has already appeared alongside Frankie Kazarian and competed in the 20-man Call Your Shot Gauntlet at Bound For Glory.
On October 13, Styles defeated Joe Alonzo at TNA’s Dothan tapings. The match has yet to air on TNA iMPACT and is set to mark his first televised singles match for the promotion.
His previous appearance came in an August dark match, where he lost to Brian Myers shortly after TNA announced his signing.
Styles joined the company with only six matches on his record, including appearances for Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), making his early opportunities in TNA a notable step in his development.
Styles’ Bound For Glory Appearance
At Bound For Glory, Styles entered the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at number two, starting the match alongside Trey Miguel. He managed to eliminate Mr. Elegance before being taken out by AJ Francis.
Styles was knocked out of the air and sent to the floor by Francis while attempting a springboard maneuver, ending his involvement in the match.
Kazarian ultimately won the gauntlet for the third consecutive year. Afterward, he revealed that he intended to use his opportunity to challenge for the TNA World Tag Team Championships, with Styles as his partner.
If Styles is sidelined by the reported injury, it could affect those plans, although TNA has not announced any changes to the prospective team or provided an official injury update.
For now, the extent of Styles’ condition remains unclear, and fans will have to wait for further information on when he might return to action.
