NWA Powerrr Quietly Added To The CW App – No Official Announcement Made

NWA Powerrr has been quietly added to the The CW App.

On Tuesday, eight episodes from the current 15th season were listed to the “Recently Added” list. As of now, no official announcement has been made.

Additionally, searching for the ‘NWA’ or ‘Powerrr’ does not bring up the show.

The following episodes are currently featured on the app:

* “The New Era”
* “New Era, Old Problems”
* “The Dark Carnival”
* “The G Gets The Love”
* “Keep Your Enemies Close”
* “When TV Stars Align”
* “Musical Chairs”
* “See You In Hell!”

For what it’s worth, “The New Era” is episode 124. This week’s episode, titled “Who’s The Turkey Now?,” is episode 135. So things appear to be out of order.

There is said to be a lot of “confusion” among those who work with the National Wrestling Alliance, as most expected there to be some sort of official announcement made. The belief among many was that Powerrr would always air before the planned reality show, but it wasn’t expected to happen until early 2024.

Finally, it was added that it’ll be “interesting to see how Billy reacts to this.”

In other NWA news, Mims will defend the NWA National Championship on next week’s episode of NWA Powerrr. You can check out the updated lineup for the show below:

NWA National Heavyweight Championship Match: Mims vs. Carson Drake
* Tiffany Nieves vs. Ruthie Jay
* Tim Storm & Jax Dane vs. Trevor Murdoch & Paul Burchill
* Bryan Idol & Natalia Markova vs. Thom Latimer & Kamille

John Cena Undergoes Successful Arm Surgery (Again), Celebrates ‘Two Repaired Arms’

16-time WWE Champion John Cena has discussed the latest surgery that he has undergone and thanked the doctor who operated on him.

Cena disclosed on X that he underwent arm surgery, just a few weeks after his previous operation on November 10.

“Thank you for the autograph, @JeffDugasMD! So very grateful to him and his whole team for two successful surgeries. A world-class facility that has me ready to seize the day… with two repaired arms,” wrote Cena.

The surgeries came after his recent WWE run, where his last match was at Crown Jewel on November 4, losing to The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa. His run, which began on the September 1 episode of “WWE SmackDown,” came about due to the SAG-AFTRA strike in Hollywood, which ended on November 8. During his most recent stint, he feuded with the Bloodline.

Cena was the host of the Payback premium live event, where he was also the referee for the match between LA Knight and The Miz, and later teamed with Knight at Fastlane, defeating Sikoa and Jimmy Uso. He also was in the corner of “WWE NXT” star Carmelo Hayes, when Hayes faced Bron Breakker on the October 10 episode of “NXT.” The visit was Cena’s first appearance on a televised episode of the developmental brand.

In his last run with WWE, Cena also wrestled several dark matches on “SmackDown” against the likes of Montez Ford, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and members of The Bloodline, excluding WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Report – Juice Robinson Suffers Legitimate Injury, Written Off AEW TV

Bullet Club Gold was attacked by MJF on the AEW Full Gear 2023 go-home episode of Rampage, and when the camera cut backstage, Juice Robinson was laid out after MJF apparently broke a flat-screen TV over his head.

Fightful is reporting that Robinson was legitimately injured sometime before that and the angle was carried out to write him off television.

Robinson suffered a back injury at some point and will require surgery to repair the issue. It’s unknown when the injury occurred.

Robinson last wrestled on the November 1st episode of AEW Dynamite. He is believed to be out for the remainder of the year, but not much longer than that.

Dwayne The Rock Johnson’s Production Company Working On Docuseries About Fall Of WCW

In addition to his status as a major movie star, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has his own production company, known as Seven Bucks Productions. In addition to producing movies he stars in, Johnson has endeavored to finance other projects, such as the recent “Tales from the Territories,” the documentary “Stuntman,” and the film “Fighting With My Family.” A new report from Deadline indicates that another wrestling project is on the horizon for Johnson. This time, it’s a docu-series focused on the history of World Championship Wrestling, the once-dominant Turner promotion that folded in the early 2000s and was bought out by WWE. Deadline stated that Seven Bucks is partnering with Vice Media for the series, though it’s not known when it’s planned for release.

The report referred to the end of WCW as “mysterious,” hinting that the upcoming series will focus on the reasons behind the company’s downfall. WCW got its start in 1988 when Ted Turner purchased the assets of Jim Crockett Promotions, turning them into a new brand that would air on his TV networks. Though the company eventually rose to challenge and even briefly surpassed WWE, it wouldn’t last. The last real WCW match took place in March 2001, and the company was bought out several months later.

Appearing on the latest “Wrestling Observer Radio,” co-hosts Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez poked fun at the idea of labeling WCW’s downfall as “mysterious.” Additionally, the two men pointed out that Johnson was likely too busy at the time to be watching WCW’s programming, and if he had watched the company’s shows, the reasons behind WCW’s demise wouldn’t be a mystery. Meltzer also believes he has an idea of how the finished product will come across.

“I presume that they’ll have Bischoff all over it, and once you have Bischoff all over it, you’re just going to have the total ‘full of st’ story,” Meltzer said. “‘All those people [were] out to get us’ as opposed to — you know, you just f*ed up. You drove all your fanbase away. … I don’t want to say it’s just him, but he was part of that deal.”

Meltzer stated that the reasons behind the end of WCW were the falling ratings and loss of profits, making it relatively straightforward to determine why the company went out of business when it did.

Cody Rhodes Reveals Fifth Member Of War Games Team After Losing Advantage On WWE Raw

The WarGames team of Drew McIntyre and The Judgment Day may have the advantage to start out the match at Survivor Series, but the team is also going to up against a viper.

McIntyre took on Jey Uso in a WarGames Advantage Match on “WWE Raw,” and won clean with a Future Shock DDT. With the win, The Judgment Day’s team will have the numbers advantage at the beginning of the match on Saturday. After the match and subsequent beat down, however, the opposing team ran down to the ring to help out their teammate. After they cleared the ring, Cody Rhodes got on the mic and announced that a friend with whom he has a “legacy” with would be joining their team. Rhodes said their final teammate is an “apex predator,” and while he didn’t outright say it would be Randy Orton will be backing them up on Saturday, he did hear the crowd’s “Randy” chants and add, “They’re right.”

Orton has been out of action for well over a year with a lower back injury that required surgery. Sidelined since May with an injury that had doctors telling him he would never wrestle again, Orton will make his return at the premium live event, which will emanate from the Allstate Arena in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont, Illinois.

Details On AEW Champion MJF’s Legitimate Injury At Full Gear

MJF successfully retained the AEW World Championship against Bullet Club Gold’s Jay White this past weekend at the AEW Full Gear 2023 pay-per-view. According to Bryan Alvarez of the “Wrestling Observer Radio” show, MJF suffered a dislocated hip during that main event title clash. The injury reportedly occurred when “The Salt of the Earth” performed an elbow drop from the ring to the floor. The move was supposed to be through the announce table, but the table broke when MJF placed White on top of it.

Alvarez said that MJF ended up having his hip put back into place, but he is now dealing with a “very, very painful” hip injury and a shoulder injury. However, it’s said that MJF will not miss any time.

MJF was involved in an injury angle this past weekend at Full Gear. On the Zero Hour pre-show, Austin and Colten Gunn injured MJF’s leg with a steel chair after they unsuccessfully challenged “The Salt of the Earth” and Samoa Joe, who was filling in for the injured Adam Cole, for ROH World Tag Team Championship. MJF was stretchered out of the arena and taken away in an ambulance.

During the Full Gear pay-per-view, Tony Schiavone was set to announce White as the new AEW World Champion by default, but Cole stepped in and said he would defend the belt on MJF’s behalf. MJF ultimately returned, driving the ambulance he was placed in earlier in the evening, to defend the world title right before the main event was due to get underway.
