WWE Issued Statement On Jimmy Snuka Arrest

As noted yesterday, WWE Hall of Famer “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka was arrested and charged with third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter. The charges stem from the death of Snuka’s then-girlfriend Nancy Argentino back on May 11th, 1983. Snuka is out on bail and at home with his wife.

WWE issued the following statement:

“WWE expresses its continued sympathy to the Argentino family for their loss. Ultimately this legal matter will be decided by our judicial system.”

Jimmy Snuka Arrested For Murder

WWE Hall of Famer “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka has been arrested for the 1983 murder of his then girlfriend Nancy Argentinto. Snuka is being charged with third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter according to Lehigh County authorities.

Snuka was arrested this morning in New Jersey and arraigned at about 1:50 p.m. He is currently in county jail under a $100,000 bail.

According to Sarah Cassi of LehighVallyLive, Snuka is believed to be posting $10,000 bond on a $100,000 bail right now, with the surrender of his passport as a condition of his release. With Snuka undergoing cancer treatment, it was felt that incarcerating him would be an undue financial burden on taxpayers. The district attorney noted that they cited Snuka’s inaction in getting Argentino medical attention for her head injury.
