Team 3D and The Hardys to Battle One More Time at Bound For Glory

The Hardys have reclaimed their spot atop the TNA tag team ranks, walking out of Slammiversary 2025 as the new World Tag Team Champions. In a wild four-way ladder match, Matt and Jeff toppled The Rascalz, FIR$T CLA$$, and the reigning champs, The Nemeths — but it was how they won that had fans buzzing.

With every ladder at ringside destroyed in the chaos, Jeff Hardy revealed a backup plan straight out of his unpredictable playbook: a rope ladder lowered from the rafters. Jeff climbed the hanging ladder and snatched the titles, adding yet another chapter to The Hardys’ already legendary tag team legacy.

But the celebration didn’t last long. Moments after the win, Bully Ray made a surprise return to TNA, not only giving the brothers their due — but throwing down a challenge. Bully called for one more showdown: The Hardys vs. Team 3D at Bound For Glory, set for October 12th.

The Hardys didn’t hesitate. The match is on — two of the most iconic teams in wrestling history will collide once again on TNA’s biggest stage of the year.

AJ Styles Makes Return to TNA at Slammiversary — “The Phenomenal One” Comes Home

In one of the most unforgettable moments of TNA Slammiversary, AJ Styles made his long-awaited return to TNA Wrestling, sending the crowd into an absolute frenzy.

Walking out to his classic “Get Ready to Fly” entrance theme, Styles soaked in the reaction before taking the mic. Reflecting on his storied career, he admitted it’s been a long journey—but emphasized that he’s finally back where it all began.

Styles didn’t shy away from addressing the doubts that swirled over the years about whether he’d ever step into a TNA ring again. But as he put it, now that he’s here, the lights shine a little brighter—and the talent roster has never looked stronger.

One star in particular earned Styles’ praise: Leon Slater. After Slater’s milestone victory over Moose to become the youngest X-Division Champion in TNA history, Styles gave him a heartfelt nod, saying Slater didn’t just earn the title—he deserved it.

AJ also paid tribute to the names that built TNA from the ground up, mentioning legends like Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, Chris Sabin, Jerry Lynn, Austin Aries, Amazing Red, and others who helped lay the foundation for the company’s legacy.

But as Styles made clear, tonight belonged to Leon Slater. The young champion may have made his name at Slammiversary—but now, Styles challenged him to build his legacy as the face and future of TNA.

TNA Slammiversary 7/20/2025 (Results), AJ Styles & Bully Ray Return

Countdown to Slammiversary

The action kicked off with championship gold on the line as The IInspiration challenged The Elegance Brand for the Knockouts World Tag Team Titles. Ash and Heather By Elegance controlled much of the match, isolating Jessie McKay. After Cassie Lee fired up on a hot tag, it looked like the challengers had a chance—but a sneaky ringside torch shot from M By Elegance gave Ash the opening to hit Rarified Air for the win.
Winners and still Knockouts World Tag Team Champions: The Elegance Brand

Eric Young and The Northern Armory made an unscheduled appearance, running down New York—until a surprise opponent, The Home Town Man, stepped up. Despite interference from Judas Icarus and Travis Williams, The Home Town Man pulled off a shocking upset, rolling up Young for the three-count.
Winner: The Home Town Man

In a wild six-man tag, TNA International Champion Steve Maclin teamed with Jake Something and Mance Warner to face Real 1, Zilla Fatu, and Josh Bishop. The match was total chaos, ending with Real 1 pinning Something after Eat Defeat, giving Fourth Rope a big win over the TNA crew.
Winners: Real 1, Zilla Fatu & Josh Bishop

Slammiversary Main Card Highlights

Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali reignited their rivalry in a high-paced opener. With help from Ali’s Order 4 allies, including a key DDT from Skyler and interference from Tasha Steelz, Ali outlasted Alexander after hitting a second 450 Splash for the win.
Winner: Mustafa Ali

Matt Cardona teamed with The System (Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, and JDC) to battle NXT’s DarkState in a chaotic eight-man tag. After DarkState nearly pulled off an upset, The System rallied with a string of finishers, capped off by Cardona’s Radio Silence and Edwards’ Boston Knee Party for the victory.
Winners: The System & Matt Cardona

In a heated singles clash, Indi Hartwell took on Tessa Blanchard. Blanchard targeted Hartwell’s knee, but Indi fought back, sealing the win with a modified Full Nelson Slam. Post-match, Blanchard snapped—attacking Hartwell during an interview and even assaulting Gia Miller, leading to Santino Marella ejecting her from the building.
Winner: Indi Hartwell

Eric Young is furious with The Northern Armory after falling to The Home Town Man earlier tonight.

The Knockouts Title vs. Title match saw Masha Slamovich and NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne face off in a chaotic encounter. Despite heavy interference from both camps, Jayne took advantage of a referee bump and hit Rolling Encore on Slamovich to become the new Knockouts World Champion.
Winner and NEW TNA Knockouts World Champion: Jacy Jayne

Leon Slater delivered the biggest win of his career, dethroning Moose in a hard-fought X-Division Title clash. In a back-and-forth battle filled with big counters and jaw-dropping moves, Slater finally hit a Swanton 450 to make history as the youngest X-Division Champion ever.
Winner and NEW X-Division Champion: Leon Slater

In a tremendous sign of respect, Moose puts the X-Division Title around the waist of Leon Slater.

After the match, “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles makes his long-awaited return to TNA Wrestling!

Styles recognizes TNA as the place where AJ Styles built his name and congratulates Slater on becoming the youngest X-Division Champion of all time.

The TNA World Tag Team Titles were up for grabs in a wild four-way ladder match. The Hardys, Rascalz, FIR$T CLA$$, and The Nemeths tore the house down with high-risk stunts—including Jeff Hardy’s signature Swanton Bombs and AJ Francis’ massive moonsault. In the end, The Hardys claimed the gold, becoming four-time TNA Tag Champions.
Winners and NEW TNA World Tag Team Champions: The Hardys

After the match, Bully Ray makes his shocking return to TNA Wrestling, congratulating The Hardys on becoming four-time TNA World Tag Team Champions. Bully lays out the challenge for this October at Bound For Glory, one more match between two of the greatest tag teams of all time, The Hardys and Team 3D!

Director of Authority Santino Marella reveals that Tessa Blanchard is indefinitely suspended following her actions towards Gia Miller earlier tonight.

Main Event — TNA World Championship Triple Threat
Trick Williams defended the TNA World Title against Joe Hendry and Mike Santana in a fast-paced three-way. Hendry and Santana took turns controlling the action, with Frankie Kazarian even getting involved. Just when it seemed Santana had it won, Trick swooped in, tossing Santana out of the ring and stealing the pin on Hendry to retain his title.

Enzo Amore Hints at TNA Slammiversary Appearance And He Might Be Coming With A Anoa’i Family Member

Enzo Amore may have been one of WWE’s most polarizing figures, but that hasn’t stopped him from staying in the spotlight. Now going by “NZo” or “Real1” on the independent scene, the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion has been making waves — and it looks like those waves might be crashing straight into TNA Wrestling.

In a recent promo aired through Fourth Rope, the indie promotion where Amore currently reigns as Flyweight Champion, the outspoken star took direct aim at TNA ahead of this weekend’s Slammiversary event. In classic Enzo fashion, the promo blurred the lines between storyline and shoot, as he called out TNA for what he called “blatant disrespect.”

“I had to run through half of TNA to become this fly,” Amore said, hinting at past encounters with TNA talent. He even took a shot at Joe Hendry, claiming he’d “eat up Joe Hendry and spit him out,” before brushing off any suggestion that he’s “all in” with TNA. According to him, the chip on his shoulder outweighs anyone on their roster.

But perhaps the biggest talking point? Amore strongly hinted that he won’t be coming to Slammiversary alone.

“I think I’ll bring a Bishop. I know some good guys… some Good Brothers… I know plenty of people, okay?” Amore teased, suggesting that fans might see a few surprises at the pay-per-view. One name that stood out was Zilla Fatu, the Fourth Rope Heavyweight Champion and a member of the legendary Anoa’i family — the same bloodline behind Roman Reigns, The Usos, and Solo Sikoa.

With references to both known stars and possible alliances, Amore left things wide open, even joking that security would be more likely to back him up if he jumped the guardrail.

Slammiversary just got a whole lot more unpredictable — and if Enzo Amore has his way, it may also get a little more chaotic.

AJ Styles Confirmed For TNA Slammiversary This Sunday

The rumors swirling around TNA Wrestling’s Slammiversary have been officially put to rest — and they were, in a word, Phenomenal.

After days of cryptic teases and not-so-subtle hints, TNA Wrestling President Carlos Silva confirmed that “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles will make an appearance at Slammiversary this Sunday, July 20th, live from UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.

Styles, a cornerstone of TNA’s golden era and one of the promotion’s most celebrated icons, hasn’t been part of the company since departing over a decade ago. Now, his surprise return is shaping up to be the centerpiece of what’s already being billed as TNA’s biggest event in recent memory. Silva, who had been fueling speculation with social media teasers, made the news official — and even revealed that the arena stage setup is being adjusted to allow for a larger crowd, further signaling the magnitude of this year’s Slammiversary.

What exactly AJ will be doing on the show remains a mystery. Silva hasn’t dropped any details about Styles’ role, whether it’s a match, a special appearance, or something completely unexpected. But with Slammiversary stacking up as a major crossover event, the possibilities seem endless.

The card itself is loaded with high-stakes matchups, headlined by a triple threat for the TNA World Championship. NXT’s Trick Williams defends against former TNA World Champion Joe Hendry and New York’s own Mike Santana. Meanwhile, in a rare inter-promotional clash, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne faces off with TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich — a winner-takes-all bout where one woman will leave as a double champion.

Between the blockbuster title matches and AJ Styles’ shocking involvement, this year’s Slammiversary isn’t just shaping up to be a must-watch — it could be a turning point in TNA’s modern resurgence.

Backstage Report On TNA Teasing Appearance By WWE Star AJ Styles

With TNA Slammiversary just days away, the company is pulling out all the stops to sell out Long Island’s UBS Arena — and it looks like they may be betting big on a blast from their past.

The buzz kicked off Tuesday when TNA President Carlos Silva dropped a not-so-subtle hint, promising fans that the pay-per-view would be “PHENOMENAL.” The choice of words sent the internet rumor machine into overdrive, with many interpreting it as a tease for an appearance by none other than AJ Styles.

Silva didn’t exactly pump the brakes when pressed about the tease in an interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp. In fact, according to Fightful Select, Silva doubled down, continuing to heavily imply that Styles might just show up. While TNA insiders stopped short of confirming anything, one source within the company reportedly believes Styles will appear — suggesting it would be a bad look for the promotion to hype a “phenomenal” surprise and not deliver.

AJ Styles, of course, is a cornerstone of TNA’s legacy. Long before becoming a WWE Grand Slam Champion, Styles made his name in TNA’s X-Division and held the World Heavyweight Title multiple times, becoming one of the faces of the promotion throughout the 2000s and early 2010s. His last TNA match came in December 2013 when he lost a world title unification bout to Nick Aldis. Styles nearly returned in 2015 before ultimately signing with WWE, where he’s been a top-tier star ever since.

As for Styles himself? The former “Face That Runs the Place” has kept quiet on the speculation. He’s currently wrapped up in a storyline with WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio, with no public indication that a TNA cameo is in the works.

Will TNA actually deliver AJ Styles at Slammiversary, or is this just a clever marketing swerve? Fans won’t have to wait long to find out. Either way, the buzz has done its job — and all eyes are now on Long Island this Sunday.

TNA Slammiversary 7/20/2024 (Results)

Pre-show

Tasha Steelz defeated Faby Apache, Gisele Shaw, and Xia Brookside. Four-way action. Shaw was the star with a double stack fireman’s carry slam to Steelz and Brookside, catching Apache for a powerbomb, and spearing Brookside. Shaw delivered a running knee to Brookside, but Steelz shoved Shaw aside to steal the pin.

Kushida defeated Rich Swann. TNA announced that Jonathan Gresham was unable to compete (not a storyline). Swann was the replacement. Kushida had a new look with Buddhist symbols on his body reminiscent of Hakushi. The Time Splitter prevailed with a flipping Hoverboard Lock off the turnbuckles to win via submission.

Knockouts Tag Team Championship: Masha Slamovich & Alisha Edwards defeated Jody Threat & Dani Luna to retain the titles. Spitfire connected on the Hart Attack clothesline to Edwards, but Slamovich made the save on the pin. As Spitfire set up their finisher, Edwards raked the eyes, and Slamovich hit the Snow Plow on Threat. Kick out on the cover. Slamovich grabbed both title belts to use as foreign objects. The referee confiscated one strap and took his sweet time with his back turned. Meanwhile, Slamovich tripped Threat with a drop toehold to collide into the other belt in the corner. The Malisha executed a doomsday bulldog on Threat for victory.

Director of Authority Santino Marella booked a surprise match.

Eric Young defeated Alexander Hammerstone. EY escaped a torture rack for a roll-up victory.

Slammiversary PPV

Matt Hardy defeated Johnny Dango Curtis. Hardy rallied for a Twist of Fate. JDC kicked out and came back for a Falcon Arrow slam. As Dango climbed the corner, Hardy sprang up for a Twist of Fate off the turnbuckles to win. Hardy added two more Twist of Fate maneuvers for good measure after the match. It could be considered symbolically one for Jeff Hardy and one for Reby Hardy as payback for JDC’s previous attacks.

TNA World Tag Team Championship: Ace Austin & Chris Bey defeated Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards to win the titles. Alisha Edwards was a pest throughout. She ran in to block ABC from their finisher. After a brief pause, Bey leaped toward Myers for a cutter. Eddie pulled his partner out of the way, and Bey accidentally clocked Alisha. ABC made use of the distraction for a double cutter and the Art of Finesse with The Fold combo for Ace to pin Myers.

Mike Santana defeated Jake Something. Rugged fight. Jake caught Santana for a powerbomb. Kick out on the cover. Jake scaled the corner, then Santana sprang up to execute an avalanche German suplex. For the finish, fisticuffs were footloose and fancy-free. Santana had more oomph in his tank and finished with a discus lariat.

Rascalz defeated No Quarter Catch Crew. Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz reunited with Wes Lee (aka Dezmond Xavier) from NXT. Their opponents were Charlie Dempsey, Myles Borne, and Tavion Heights representing NXT. The style was high-flying versus catch wrestling. Dempsey’s crew grounded the Rascalz for much of the match. Hot tag to Lee, and the excitement cooked. The Rascalz were able to use dives to keep NQCC at bay on the outside toward the finish. Went lifted Heights into a torture rack position. Trey hit a flying stomp, then Wentz slammed Heights. Wentz and Lee joined forces for the Hot Fire Flame splash. Wentz pinned Heights to win.

TNA Digital Media Championship & International Heavyweight Wrestling Championship: PCO defeated AJ Francis in a Montreal Street Fight to win both titles. Santino Marella didn’t want the match to end in a DQ, so he added the stipulation. Francis had help from Rich Swann and Josh Bishop, but they couldn’t keep PCO down. Sami Callihan and Rhino evened the odds to help the monster. PCO landed a moonsault. Kick out by Francis. Top Dolla hit a tombstone piledriver. Kick out by PCO. The French-Canadian Frankenstein had the final salvo with a chokeslam onto chairs and a moonsault to win. After the match, Steph De Lander returned from Australia to propose marriage to PCO. He said yes!

Knockouts Championship: Jordynne Grace defeated Ash by Elegance to retain the title. Ash worked the spine, but Grace was still able to hit a musclebuster. Ash was slick on defense to frequently counter Grace’s power offense, however, it was only a matter of time until the Juggernaut connected on the pumphandle driver to win.

X-Division Championship: Mike Bailey defeated Mustafa Ali to win the title. Ref bump! Bailey accidentally kicked the referee. Ali took advantage of the situation for his security guards to beat up Bailey. They held Bailey down for two 450 splashes from Ali. 1, 2, the ref was pulled out of the ring by Trent Seven in disguise. Ali took him out with a suicide dive. Since the referee was still compromised, Ali attacked Bailey with a chair. He waved in his backup plan. Earl Hebner came to the ring to recreate the Montreal Screwjob, but he couldn’t go through with it. When Ali threatened Hebner, Bailey took control for a Sharpshooter of his own. Ali tapped out in defeat.

TNA World Championship: Nic Nemeth defeated Moose, Josh Alexander, Frankie Kazarian, Steve Maclin, and Joe Hendry to win the title. Six-way elimination bout. Maclin was the first elimination via spear from Moose. Moose was the second elimination via Standing Ovation chokeslam from Hendry. Hendry was the third elimination via low blow kick and a C4 spike piledriver from Alexander. It appears that Alexander just turned heel. Alexander was the fourth elimination via superkick from Nemeth. Kazarian had previously been superkicked off stage crashing through a table. He made his timely return to catch Nemeth off guard for a Fade to Black piledriver. 1, 2, kick out by Nemeth. They tussled back and forth with high drama, then Nemeth hit the Danger Zone to win.

Big Surprises Teased For TNA Slammiversary 2024 Pay-Per-View Event

Some huge surprises could be in store at TNA Slammiversary 2024 judging from recent comments made by Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated to promote the July 20th event in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Grace teased some surprises to come. She said,

“The surprises are going to be even bigger than people realize. TNA and NXT do surprises better than any other promotion. I don’t think anyone can argue that. If you’re tired of accidentally reading spoilers, watch Slammiversary. Our goal is to make fans fall back in love with wrestling.”

Grace will defend her TNA Knockouts World Championship at Slammiversary 2024 against Ash By Elegance, formerly known as Dana Brooke in WWE.

The event will also see involvement from NXT’s Wes Lee, who’ll team with The Rascalz to face NXT trio No Quarter Catch Crew.
