Steve Maclin Injury Update Following Scare at TNA Sacrifice 2026

There’s a positive update on Steve Maclin after a concerning moment during the main event of TNA Sacrifice 2026.

Maclin appeared to be legitimately hurt just moments into his TNA World Championship clash with Mike Santana. After taking an early superkick, he showed visible signs that something was wrong, forcing officials to stop the match and assist him to the back. Initial speculation pointed toward a possible concussion.

However, a new report from The Takedown on Sports Illustrated provides some reassurance. According to TNA President Carlos Silva, Maclin was evaluated for a concussion and underwent further testing at a hospital, but ultimately was not diagnosed with one. Silva noted that Maclin passed all necessary tests and was able to return to his hotel later that night.

The abrupt stoppage shifted the segment’s direction, as Eddie Edwards made his way out to confront Santana, leading to a post-match altercation that saw the champion stand tall.

While the situation initially raised alarm, it appears Maclin avoided a serious injury—good news as TNA continues building toward Rebellion.
