NJPW wrestler Kenny Omega has commented on rumors that he’ll appear in the Royal Rumble this weekend … and while it sounds unlikely, The Cleaner didn’t rule anything out.

Omega took part in a Q&A with 4 Front Wrestling and when asked about the Rumble said, “If some of you guys are subscribers to the Network and you’re looking forward to something happening, or not happening, on the 29th … I’m not sure if I can pull a rabbit out of a hat by that date.”

He adds, “But that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. I’m not saying anything. I’m just … that might be asking too much at this point in time.”

For the record though, Kenny says he’ll win the whole thing if entered into the match.

He added that he would love to work a match with AJ Styles at WrestleMania.

He talks about it being a “f*cking video game” and how they figured it would be the easiest pay day of Brock’s career. Heyman talks about Goldberg spearing Brock immediately and breaking his ribs. “You can’t breathe, you can’t fight.” Cole asks how Lesnar is dealing with all of this. It can destroy you. Or it can drive you to greater heights than you’ve ever achieved before.” Heyman says think about a Brock Lesnar that has something to prove is capable of. Cole asks what is next. Heyman says if Brock has something to prove he will prove it. He warns that if Goldberg is in the Royal Rumble match, then Brock Lesnar is in the Royal Rumble.

WWE Announces New Model For Their 4 Annual Major Events

Source: ESPN.com

The WWE is set to roll out a new business model around its four annual major events.

Beginning with WrestleMania 33 in April of next year, the organization will bring all their other franchises into that same city, with shows from those brands surrounding the main event.

For example, NXT, Raw and Smackdown Live will bookend WrestleMania in Orlando, SummerSlam in Brooklyn, New York, in August, Survivor Series in Houston in November and a yet-to-be-determined location for Royal Rumble (January 2018).

Fans will be able to purchase a complete package that gets them access the main events and the three other shows.

The WWE has already sold out all the travel packages, ranging from $950 to $5,900 a person for WrestleMania 33. The deal includes a ticket to NXT on April 1, WrestleMania on April 2, Monday Night Raw on April 3 and Smackdown Live on April 4. WrestleMania will take place at the Citrus Bowl while the other three will be at Orlando’s Amway Center. The deal also includes a ticket to the WWE Hall of Fame Induction that Friday, transportation to and from the arena and at least a three-night hotel stay.

The higher-end package also includes a reception with WWE superstars and a visit to the organization’s state-of-the-art performance center.

Individual tickets for WrestleMania go on sale on Nov. 18, while individual tickets for the surrounding events will go on sale at a later date.

Having all the events in one venue helps to streamline ticket sales with so many fans coming from out of town. People in all 50 states and 35 countries attended WrestleMania 32. The idea also helps to pare down costs; the set doesn’t have to be broken down from night to night to move to a new venue.

The decision to surround the WWE’s four tentpole events with shows from the other brand extensions wasn’t made in a vacuum. The WWE tested the concept in Brooklyn at Barclays Center last year, when it surrounded SummerSlam 2015 with sellouts for NXT and Raw. In April this year, the WWE sold out WrestleMania 32, NXT, Raw and the Hall of Fame, all of which took place in Dallas.

The news comes ahead of this weekend’s sold-out Survivor Series in Toronto, which also includes a sold-out Raw and a nearly sold-out NXT show. The 2017 Survivor Series will take place in Houston at the Toyota Center on Nov. 19, 2017. All four events on that weekend will be hosted at that venue.
